Pleasant101: In the past, Aptitude Tests conducted by agencies under Interior Ministry were Paper and Pencil based which usually don't get marked eventually. So, results from such exams lack credibility. But now, in line with the 21st Century Best Bractices which other sister agencies outside Interior Ministry have since adopted, we have also decided to join the moving train of conducting CBAT where result is gotten almost immediately. To your question, missing out in just concluded JAMB CBAT doesn't and will not totally remove your change of getting the job. You are a registered applicant with your unique registration ID. So long you are registered with your details captured on database, you still pretty have a chance of making the final list. Nigerians are prayerful and hopeful people and we trust in God a lot which tends to work for us. So, have faith and commit your affairs into the hands of your Lord. It does work honestly! God knows how it ll happen. Also, if you do have legit contacts, please do reach out to them and seldomly reminding them as you never can tell who God is gonna use for you but you shouldn't be so DESPERATE and GULLIBLE to be scammed. MAKING THE FINAL LIST OF APL COLLECTION AND IPPIS CAPTURING IS YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL regardless of the process. 10 Likes |

ananne: Since he has applied with his OND, he evidently belongs to Assistant Inspector cadre. There is no point presenting his BSc SOR cos he doesn't belong to that category. He hasn't even done NYSC program to earn his NYSC Discharge cert. If he's lucky to make the final list, he should just zero his mind about using his degree for the job. And I must tell you that joining the job as an assistant inspector is still pretty okay. He is still regarded as Future of the Service as he may likely ascend the rank of a Controller with his 35years in Service. Just like in Police, those who join as Cadet Inspectors usually climb Commissioner of Police before retirement if they do not experience delayed promotion along the line while ASP cadets are called Future IGP as one of them (a particular set of ASPs) will be IGP. The same thing holds for us. 3 Likes |

jaido007: 1) The Four Services under Interior Ministry operate four salary structures which include CONPASS, CONMESS, CONHESS and COMPASS. You ll be given the one commensurate with your what you are employed for. For General Duty Officers and men, we are placed on CONPASS, CONMESS is for Medical Officers and Vetinary Doctors, CONHESS is for other health officers like Nurses, Laboratory Scientists and so on. The Gross Salary of personnel in all these four departments are the same across Levels. But the Net Pay differs because of differences in deductions. Compulsory deductions for all are TAX, PENSION (both employee and employer), NHF - National Housing Fund and NHIS - National Health Insurance Scheme. Apart from these, one or two of the four departments make another deductions from Gross Pay. That's why your counterpart who is of the same Grade Level and Step in a sister department collect a little higher or lower than you. Now, to directly answer your question is not possible for me because i duly appended my signature on OATH OF SECRECY form. What i can tell you is that you ll be placed on CONPASS as a GD personnel and your Grade Level and Step plus deductions from your department (apart from statutory ones) determine your NET PAY. 2) The answer is Capital NO. It is always boldly written that Certificates not presented during documentation will NOT be considered again. What usually happen before now is that applicants who have had higher degrees (either HND or BSc) may decide to take appointments for lower cadre (SSCE or ND/NCE) perhaps because of what their sources could afford. After two years of joining, they ll quick enroll for Master's degree so that when opportunity for upgrading comes around especially for those on Level 7 (Inspectors), they can apply with Master's degree they acquired on the job and get commisioned to either or depending on the recommendations from the department to the Board. But with the Harmonisation of Ranks in place, nothing like upgrading again. Once you join as an Assistant (now Constable) your promotion in whatever Service you belong depends on years in Service just like in the Police we copy and not by acquiring additional academic qualifications. Special or accelerated promotion can happen though. 3) It is the Service that determine the location suitable for them considering the cost and prevailing situations in the country. They may decide to do it at either State Command Level, Zonal Level or Headquarters (usually for Commissioned Officers) 4) Like I did say in my previous post, Paramilitary is far away different from Military. That one you mentioned and other are minor stuffs do not prevent you from getting NIS or other Paramilitary Job. The only thing is that you may not be able to join special unit within your department and remain Conventional personnel (ATURA) throughout your stay in the Job which is even preferred by some folks. 5) If you eventually get the Job, every body both Commissioned Officers and other ranks will first report to their respective state Commands to under what we call INDUCTION TRAINING/COURSE. This is done to familiarize you with the job ethics and modify your Civilian Ways of thinking. This may last for six weeks, two months or three months. With this, work has started already. Thereafter, some or all (depending on your number) will be asked to report to Training Institutions (College for Officers and Schools for the Men) to undergo Basic Officers Course for Officers and Basic Recruit Training for Men. Then, after your POP, you ll be posted back to your State of origin while some folks ll lobby to be posted out to places of choice directly. 13 Likes 1 Share |

dives: The last time I checked, FSLC still remains a very important government certificate (It is used by the Ministry of Education). So government agencies don't joke with it during recruitment exercise. However, Testimonial issued directly by our individual primary school is also acceptable by Paramilitary Agencies. People have argued that some government agencies prefer FSLC to Testimonial. But for me, I don't have FSLC because I didn't sit for the exam then. I have always been using my Testimonial for all recruitment exercise I participated in including the Military before I eventually got commisioned in NCS. 8 Likes |

Having read a lot of comments here, both true and otherwise, I ll like to drop few words. I ll begin by letting you know that I was in your shoes (an applicant ) for 2017 NIS Recruitment Exercise which was finally concluded in 2018 (Superintendent Cadre - ASI II) but didn't make the final list. I was pained at that time considering my previous efforts on different Uniform Jobs and that one in particular. However, to the glory of God, I made the final list in the 2018 NPS recruitment which was finalized in 2019. And today, I am a TRAINED COMMISSIONED OFFICER of Nigerian Correctional Service hanging two shinning stars . i.e Assistant Superintendent of Corrections I (ASC I). Now, to the main points I ll like to share... To those doubting their statement of results of whatever Academic Level and Year, lemme tell you that you have nothing to fear so long you actually got it from a recognized Institution. I used MSc statement of result which I got in 2017 and didn't face any challenge during certificates submission. At my station, i just recently met an officer of 2016 set who also had his BSc in 2012 from the same University i did my Master's degree. He told me he hasn't collected his Original Certificate from the Uni and it didn't affect his promotion. The department just promoted all officers of 2016 set from one to a month ago and backdated it to 01/01/2018 (It is called advancement/ confirmation) Although, the Permanent Secretary to the CDCFIB appends his original signature (NOT SCANNED) on every single APL. Be aware that appointment for Superintendent Cadre (Commissioned Officer) is from CDCFIB while the appointment of Senior Inspector to lowest cadre is from the Controller General. That's the reason Superintendent Cadre are given the Presidential Commissioning. One particular paragraph spells this out on the APL unlike APL of SIC downward. However, with the recent Harmonisation of Ranks, I cannot categorically say that APL for HND holders WILL or WILL NOT carry Presidential Commissioning. One thing that is certain now in all four departments is that HND holder now wears same rank, gets same pay and now enjoys some privileges hitherto, exclusively reserved for BSc holders. On the next thing after JAMB CBAT? Of course, a lot of applicants will still make the next stage _ Certificates, physical and Medical screening. Take Note: Paramilitary is not like Military where you ll be subjected to Strenuous Physical, Mental and Medical tests. (I once did that of NAVY DSSC so I can bodly say what obtains in the two) For NIS, they may decide to conduct few physical exercise for Applicants or they may just ask you to come along with a tenable Medical Certificate from a recognized hospital. On the academic certificates vetting, they may want to fish out some anomalies in your age vis-a-vis dates on your certificates, expecially in your FLSC or Testimonial (Both are acceptable in Paramilitary). You will be given some official forms to fill too at this stage. If you have falsified your age, try and perfect your documents to avoid any questioning during this next stage. This, however doesn't even prevent you from getting the job if you ve got semi-gods up there. Many of my colleagues were far above 30, some were even in their early 40s. While some decided to reduce their age, few used it like that and today, they are officers. Most applicants tend to reduce thier age cos they wanna enjoy more years in the service not necessarily considering old-age ill-health. To finalise my long epistle... ✓ Not everyone who makes it to the next stage will eventually make it to the final stage of APL collection and IPPIS capturing. ✓ I ll advise all and above to-be-officers whose Appointments come from Board to intensify their efforts in connecting to the God Almighty and semi-gods if they have one. Appointment from the Board has numbers and it is obviously countable. ✓ those applicants for other ranks too should ask for favour from the Supreme Being. A very significant number of Assistant Cadre in my department, expecially those of 2019 set which I know very well got the job without knowing any body nor paying a dime. Infact, three among them who are somewhat close to me are undergraduates and just decided to apply with SSCE and they got. And just to add this, you guys are coming on board at the time when lots of reformations are happening across all four departments under Interior Ministry. Efforts are underway to implement One Level Forward pay where you ll be collecting the salary of your immediate Senior. May the good Lord grant us our heart desires, amen. 43 Likes 3 Shares |

bedoab10k: To support your words here, I ll also pen down my experience having visited two LGA in Oyo State (Ibadan North and Oluyole) on the subject matter. The Marriage Registry of Ibadan North is situated inside the LGA council at a place called Agodi-Gate adjacent Immigration Office while that of Oluyole is beside Oluyole Shopping Complex at Orita-challege Ibadan. NOTE: Oluyole council is situated in a village called Idi-Ayure along Ijebu ode when you follow Old Lagos Ibadan road but they strategically stationed their marriage registry at Orita-challege. Now on what and what requires, the two local government request same thing. The only slight difference is on the Menu Menu required. For Oluyole LGA, your are to pay 1) 1,200.00 cash (receipt issued) to the LGA. 2) 2000.00 to bank A in favour of Oyo State Government with a teller. 3) 6500.00 to bank B in favour of Oluyole LGA with a teller 4). 1000.00 to bank C in favour of Oyo State/Oluyole LGA joint account with a teller. 5) 3 passport each of Groom and Bride NOTE: the banks are 3 different commercial banks and the payments should be made in the name of the groom. The total amount when added is 10,700. If you don't wanna go to thes banks yourself, you are to add 1000 to the said amount making it 11,700. With this payment, you ll file a notice by filling the form given to you. 21 working days is calculated, they have a calendar that does that immediately. So, before you go, they will give you 3 different dates which you can consumate your marriage. You are to choose one. Moving on, 2 days to your chosen date, you are to pay another 5000 for the certificate. Lastly, on the deal day, you come to the registry with your bride and do the needful. Refreshments to present 1 pack of Can Malt 1 pack of fibre biscuits 2 pieces of salive 2 pieces of Hollandian Yogurt Or your pay another 5000 for the above items. When asked about the acceptance of certificate issued from Oluyole at Embassies, the woman responded that many couples from who used their registry are now abroad and that Embassy representatives do come to them for verification. She added that so long the marriage certificate is carries Federal Government, no embassy turns it down. 4 Likes |

U.S Electoral System: What's Electoral College and How Does It Work? Who Are The Electors? —Muhammed-Bello Buhari, 04-11-2020. In other U.S. elections, candidates are elected directly by popular vote. But the president and vice president are not elected directly by citizens. Instead, they’re chosen by “electors” through a process called the Electoral College. To win the election, a candidate must receive a majority of electoral votes. In the event no candidate receives a majority, the House of Representatives chooses the president and the Senate chooses the vice president. The process of using electors comes from the Constitution. It was a compromise between a popular vote by citizens and a vote in Congress. Each state gets as many electors as it has members of Congress (House and Senate). Including Washington, D.C.’s three electors, there are currently 538 electors in all. Each state’s political parties choose their own slate of potential electors. Now, many will be asking that if the electors vote for President, why should U.S citizens vote in the general election? During the general election their votes helps determine their State’s electors. When they vote for a Presidential candidate, they aren’t actually voting for President. They are telling their State which candidate they want their State to vote for at the meeting of electors. The States use these general election results (also known as the popular vote) to appoint their electors. The winning candidate’s State political party selects the individuals who will be electors. So in essence, let's use Nigeria as an example: For Kaduna State; 3 Senators and 15 Members of House of Representatives (i.e 18 federal lawmakers). This means that, Kaduna State has a total of 18 electors. And for Bayelsa; 3 Senators and 5 members of House of reps (i.e 8 Federal lawmakers). This also means that Bayelsa state has a total of 8 Electors. Now let's say during general elections; Total votes cast in Kaduna State - APC (51%) and PDP (49%), this means that at the electoral college, the whole votes of the 18 electors will go to APC (simply because they have a simple majority of votes in Kaduna). And for Bayelsa too, let's say APC won (19%) and PDP (81%). This also means that the whole of votes of the 8 electors goes to PDP. In essence, the popular votes doesn't matter, the electoral college matters. And in the U.S, there is a total of 538 electors, a candidate needs a total of the 270 votes and above to win the elections. I hope this piece is helpful to many who are confused about how the U.S system works. #USElection #ElectoralCollege 2 Likes |

risi66: Yeah! We are now Correctional Service. You are very correct on that. But tagging the list I personally snapped this morning on the Command Notice Board an old one is very wrong of you. I don't have to argue with you anyway, I only decided to share it on this platform because it is in this same thread someone shared a list that captured my name last year ...and to the glory of God, I am Assistant Superintendent of Corrections 1 (ASC 1). 4 Likes |

SuppoOmoo: A little update... Kudos to @lamtam0 who came to my house and helped track nigcomsat 42.5e on my DStv 90mm dish and a single LNB. When scanned on my in-built satellite TV, I was able to get 56 channels which include TRT world, TVC News, MBC 2, MCB 3, MCB Max and others ...a few of the stations are scrambled though. With those I mentioned, I now have access to news update as well as foreign movies. Now, I want to ask if it is possible to track another Sat which could provide channels that shows African/Naija movies especially Yoruba movies. My households are fans of Yoruba movies. Pls I require ways to go, if there is any. Thanks to lamtam0 once again. |
