DANSANI2020:
plese how about correctional service ,some are saying there is another list to complete d 2019 recruitment exercise

Yeah, if you have legit source, you could be taken as part of the last batch (4th Batch) to fill up the few available vacancies with your APL carrying the same date as those of 1st, 2nd & 3rd batches. Just that your own pay will start counting from your date of IPPIS capturing but not the date on your APL. I hope you get that right?

Boss, pls help explain the advantage of this new ranking system to an incoming AIC 06 Officer. Bcoz it seems they added additional IC II for inspector to climb for getting to ASC.
Pls explain more sir how dis affects us positively or negatively. Thanks

God bless you for this well detailed article, more ink to your pen..

Quickly, I will like to ask a question.. Do they also consider class of degree at the physical screening and certificate verification stage..

For example, someone who graduated with second class upper/lower compared to a third class graduate...

Is there hope for the third class graduate who eventually made it to the final stage of physical screening. Any likely chances he or she will get the job...

All those classes of degree English na for paper in Paramilitary Jobs. Shebi, you sha go skul with evidence that you graduated? Baba, if you have your way you go enter.

Only that it may want to stand against you in some future appointments within the Service especially at the Top Management Level. However, a few other criteria are used for Top Management Level Appointment and you may even sabi way pass your counterparts/contestants at that level.

[quote author=SuppoOmoo post=96945098]Having read a lot of comments here, both true and otherwise, I ll like to drop few words.

I ll begin by letting you know that I was in your shoes (an applicant ) for 2017 NIS Recruitment Exercise which was finally concluded in 2018 (Superintendent Cadre - ASI II) but didn't make the final list. I was pained at that time considering my previous efforts on different Uniform Jobs and that one in particular.

However, to the glory of God, I made the final list in the 2018 NPS recruitment which was finalized in 2019. And today, I am a TRAINED COMMISSIONED OFFICER of Nigerian Correctional Service hanging two shinning stars . i.e Assistant Superintendent of Corrections I (ASC I).

Now, to the main points I ll like to share...

To those doubting their statement of results of whatever Academic Level and Year, lemme tell you that you have nothing to fear so long you actually got it from a recognized Institution. I used MSc statement of result which I got in 2017 and didn't face any challenge during certificates submission. At my station, i just recently met an officer of 2016 set who also had his BSc in 2012 from the same University i did my Master's degree. He told me he hasn't collected his Original Certificate from the Uni and it didn't affect his promotion. The department just promoted all officers of 2016 set from one to a month ago and backdated it to 01/01/2018 (It is called advancement/ confirmation)

Although, the Permanent Secretary to the CDCFIB appends his original signature (NOT SCANNED) on every single APL. Be aware that appointment for Superintendent Cadre (Commissioned Officer) is from CDCFIB while the appointment of Senior Inspector to lowest cadre is from the Controller General. That's the reason Superintendent Cadre are given the Presidential Commissioning. One particular paragraph spells this out on the APL unlike APL of SIC downward. However, with the recent Harmonisation of Ranks, I cannot categorically say that APL for HND holders WILL or WILL NOT carry Presidential Commissioning. One thing that is certain now in all four departments is that HND holder now wears same rank, gets same pay and now enjoys some privileges hitherto, exclusively reserved for BSc holders.

On the next thing after JAMB CBAT? Of course, a lot of applicants will still make the next stage _ Certificates, physical and Medical screening. Take Note: Paramilitary is not like Military where you ll be subjected to Strenuous Physical, Mental and Medical tests. (I once did that of NAVY DSSC so I can bodly say what obtains in the two) For NIS, they may decide to conduct few physical exercise for Applicants or they may just ask you to come along with a tenable Medical Certificate from a recognized hospital. On the academic certificates vetting, they may want to fish out some anomalies in your age vis-a-vis dates on your certificates, expecially in your FLSC or Testimonial (Both are acceptable in Paramilitary). You will be given some official forms to fill too at this stage. If you have falsified your age, try and perfect your documents to avoid any questioning during this next stage. This, however doesn't even prevent you from getting the job if you ve got semi-gods up there. Many of my colleagues were far above 30, some were even in their early 40s. While some decided to reduce their age, few used it like that and today, they are officers. Most applicants tend to reduce thier age cos they wanna enjoy more years in the service not necessarily considering old-age ill-health.

To finalise my long epistle...

✓ Not everyone who makes it to the next stage will eventually make it to the final stage of APL collection and IPPIS capturing.

✓ I ll advise all and above to-be-officers whose Appointments come from Board to intensify their efforts in connecting to the God Almighty and semi-gods if they have one. Appointment from the Board has numbers and it is obviously countable.

✓ those applicants for other ranks too should ask for favour from the Supreme Being. A very significant number of Assistant Cadre in my department, expecially those of 2019 set which I know very well got the job without knowing any body nor paying a dime. Infact, three among them who are somewhat close to me are undergraduates and just decided to apply with SSCE and they got.

And just to add this, you guys are coming on board at the time when lots of reformations are happening across all four departments under Interior Ministry. Efforts are underway to implement One Level Forward pay where you ll be collecting the salary of your immediate Senior.

May the good Lord grant us our heart desires, amen.

Congratulations to those who have made it to Third Stage of the recruitment exercise. I pray the Almighty perfect what He has started.

Like I did say in my previous posts, tidy up your papers. For those who have managed to change their ages, multilate any of thier credentials (expecially FSLC/FSLT), try check and recheck again. Don't give room for questioning that you wouldn't be able to give convincing answers to regarding your credentials.

Those that will conduct the exercise are officers already in the Service, they have eagle eyes and they know all the tricks about age falsification, paper mulilation and the likes. You may be lucky to meet nice ones who will even guide you on what to do immediately he observes any inconsistencies in your papers. Conversely, you may meet bitter ones who may want to transfer aggression on you, perhaps he has delayed promotion, his candidate wasn't shortlisted or something personal. The latter is rare though. Whichever way it comes, ensure you tidy your papers before you are called, arrange them well, it ll create an impression that you are smart. There is a place in your file where the officer that collects your papers writes RECOMMENDED or NOT RECOMMENDED. It is this your file that will speak for you in Abuja where APL carrying your name will be typed and signed. Try do all that is expected of you such that there wouldn't be any justifiable reason your file turn NEGATIVE. Until, you have a duly signed APL carrying your name and rank, you ain't yet an officer.

To my brothers and sisters in other category, i mean those not shortlisted for this stage. A miracle can still happen in your favour. Nigerians are prayerful people and it does work for us. You may try reach out to your trusted people. No one makes it all alone in this life, we all get help from one person or the other either know or unknown. The final stage of APL collection and IPPIS capturing is the main thing regardless of the process.

NOTE: DON'T BE DESPERATE AND GULLIBLE TO BE SCAMMED. To the best of my knowledge, the World we live now is full of wicked people who derive joy in adding to peoples' pathetic situation. There are still good people though. May God Almighty connect us with our destiny helpers, aameen.

No.

I wanna guess that those whose conventional a/c cannot take the money to be disbursed are ones NIRSAL MFB does open a/c for. And 2k a/c opening fee will automatically be deducted from the amount.

For those of us whose loans were disbursed directly to our normal acc, I was rightly told that a repayment a/c will be opened for us too a month before the commencement of loan repayment.

[quote author=dotpower55 post=101301801]Guys, please I also got a message my loan has been approved. However, after reading the terms and conditions, I couldn't accept the offer in order to proceed to supply my account details as there's no place to click for the acceptance. The only clickable aspect is at the end of the letter where I can 'click to print'.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Kindly assist please.

This process is in four stages

✓ when your loan has been approved, once you put in your bvn to check, the first thing you see is Beneficiary Info which include your name, the amount approved, loan tenor and momaratum.

You click on proceed

✓ This will take you to loan offer terms and conditions. You will have to stroll down down down before your see both accept (green) and reject (red) column

Click on accept

✓ This will take you Enter your bank name and account number. A drop icon is already there where you see a list of all commercial banks.
Click on yours and carefully put it your account digits.

Click on proceed. With that, an OK Success message will pop up.

✓ This will now take you to the last stage of long agreement letter between your lender (NISRAL MFB) and borrower (yourself). 5-page letter I think and down down the letter is where you ll be asked to print. I always save this as PDF file on my phone.

The above has been my experience for the four people I did for, myself inclusive. Three have gotten theirs, mine already approved and waiting for disbursement. And I used my Infinix Smart Phone to do it. So, it surprises me when people say they don't see where to input their account details.

I applied for my younger brother about 1 month + and I even gave up hope for him that maybe he won't get, he just sent me a whatsapp message with his approval message. Please his account isn't upgraded yet. Do I accept the loan for him or go upgrade first?

You should accept it immediately and fill in his bank details. Your brother can upgrade his bank account status on Monday or Tuesday by just filling some forms and attach a copy of any NIN card or Voters card. He should tell the bank he wanna upgrade to Standard Savings acc. The loan was approved since yesterday just that the sms just dropped today's evening.

I also just got the approval sms this evening @ 8:42pm precisely where as I have already accepted the loan offer since yesterday night.

If you check the approval letter, it will definitely carry yesterday' date Friday, 30/04/2021 just like mine.

We are hoping they will disburse the loan next week

Absolutely! Not everyone who got his/her loan will want to tell the whole World about it. I ll like to share mine though.

In my own case, I did apply under Household Category last year but no approval not to talk of disbursement. So, I forget about it.

Later this year, there was a controversial post by someone on this thread that new application has commenced. It later turned out to be true. So I reapplied for myself, wifey, and two siblings who are Undergraduates. I did that on 8/3/2021. I can remember vividly because I did it @ midnight.

On Monday 12/04/2021, one of my siblings called to inform me that she got approval message. So I quickly input her bvn on their site, 400k was approved. I checked for the other sibling, 350k was approved. Checked for wifey, 500k popped up for her. Alas, mine hasn't yet been approved ...still showing BVN DOES NOT EXIST!

I attributed my non-approval to the fact I once defaulted a commercial bank loan due to a delay in salary payment but I have since cleared my debt. I wonder if that could still stand against me on my Credit Report.

Point to note is that I did all applications under Household Category but the approval letters are carrying SME loan. That's not a problem though.

The sweetest part of my story is that they were all credited yesterday Friday, 16/04/2021 in thier respective bank accounts UBA, Polaris & GT.

Na me dey wait for my own, and even if I don't eventually get, I am relieved of the burdens of urgent 5k from my siblings. IF DEM LIKE, MAKE DEM USE LOAN DO RICH-MAN PIKIN FOR SKUL
NA DEM SABI!!!

A quick update!

I just decided to check my loan application status now as I always do at night before retiring to bed. Guess what A sum of 400k has been approved for me today.

For those claiming they don't see where to input their bank details, I guess they have issues with thier phones because the moment you read your loan terms and conditions and click on accept, a column for bank name and acc number automatically pop up. The first line has a list of all commercial banks where you ll choose yours while the second space is where you input your acc digits. You will receive OK Success message after filling in your account details.

That was how I did for my two siblings and wifey on 12/04/2021 and they all got their money on 16/04/2021. I pray mine and those of others on the waiting lists are also disbursed presently (very soon)

Thanks sir. But my concern is that what will become of free Channels I got from Nigcomsat? Because I use two LNB on a single dish ( Nigcomsat and TSTV), use a 3 way Disecq to join the two and connect directly to my Inbuilt Sattelite TV. With that connection, I have been enjoying free channels on Nigcomsat and TSTV untill the latter blocked its free channels

Now, will I still pick those free channels on Nigcomsat if I connect the cable to TSTV decoder?

Pls for the past 3 days my nicomsat goes off at night, comes back on during the day with 78% strength. Is it general ?

I was about to ask this same question. Those channels work during the day and start skipping at night. I am using frequency 12518H29500 on nigcomsat. Any adjustments to make?

Also, I attached 51°east to my dish where I used to watch TSTV channels free. Now t jhat TSTV has blocked most of it's free channels leaving only 3., I want to buy their decoder. My question is do I have to track TSTV signal on the decoder again or there is no need for that since I already have it tracked on the dish.

Pls I need enlightenment on this. Thanks

DPC Frank Mba, PPRO Force Headquarters promoted to CP

Just as I said in one of my previous posts about those joining the Service with ND/NCE as Assistant Inspector of Immigration AII (now Cadet Inspectors) that they also have a big career to pursue in the department.

Young Frank Mba (now CP Frank Mba after decoration) joined the Nigeria Police as a cadet inspector and graduated from the Police Academy, Kano as the best graduating cadet inspector in 1993.

Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1999

Deputy Superintendent of Police in 2003

Superintendent of Police in 2006

Chief Superintendent of Police in 2012.

Assistant Commissioner of Police 2016

Deputy Commissioner of Police 2019

...and to the glory of God, now a Commissioner of Police in 2020.

He rose through ranks from Cadet Inspector to enviable rank of Substantive Police Commissioner in his 27years in the Job.

There is still every likelihood that he may ascend either the first or second General Cadre ( AIG or DIG), God on his side before he is caught up with retirement.

LESSON:

Not everyone will be a commisioned officer from the onset (all applicants cannot be employed with superintendent cadre) but with dedication, perseverance, loyalty to the Service and prayers, junior officer today can attain enviable rank tomorrow.

EXCERPT FROM MY WORDS TO FEW LOYAL JUNIOR OFFICERS DURING OUR USUAL TALKS TODAY.

THE NCC DIRECTIVE ON SIM-NIN REGISTRATION

The Federal government, through the NCC has given 2 weeks ultimatum for us to ensure that all phone numbers in Nigeria have a NIN (National ID Number attached). In all fairness, this requirement had been gazetted since 2017 in the "Mandatory Use of the National Identification Number (NIN) Regulations of 2017", but we all ignored it. So, it's actually been a 3 year time grace that the government gave us. The requirement would help us all to secure our country better.

Below are 10 things to note about the new NCC directive.

1. If your phone number is not linked to Your NIN by 31st of December 2020, your line would be blocked!

2. For those who already have a NIN, You can get your NIN by dialing *346# from the phone number you supplied during your NIN registration. The service costs 20 naira. You may then choose to save the NIN on your phone so that you don't have to pay again forever.

3. You actually no longer need a physical national I.D card, what you need is just to have your NIN (which is just the number). This is the new trajectory of the government. Remember that for BVN, most people also don't have a card.

4. If you already have a BVN, you may already likely have a NIN even if you have never physically gone to register for a NIN (especially if your BVN starts with 221 or 222), this has been made possible because of the great collaboration between NIMC (National Identity Management Commission) and NIBSS (Nigeria Interbank Settlement System)PLC. You may be able to ask your bank to confirm for you. As a matter of fact, for those who use GTB, you can log into your account online or the bank app to check for your NIN by yourself (please note that this is not an advert for any bank).

5. NIMC has now licensed over 150 companies/entities that can carry out NIN enrollment all over the Country, so NIN enrollment would be faster now, unlike when it was only NIMC carrying out the enrollment. This is called the "Ecosystem Approach".

6. Yes, You can tie your single NIN to all your phone numbers. Same way you tied ur single BVN to all your account numbers.

7. To link your NIN to your MTN number, all you need to do is dial *785#. For those who are in diaspora (and so can't dial the USSD), you can use the URL https://mtnonline.com/nim/ .

To link your NIN to your AIRTEL number, all you need to do is dial *121*1#.

We await the ussd codes and URLs of the other telcos for their own sim linkage.

8. If the phone number you used for the NIN registration has changed or is missing, you need to update your record with NIMC. The update costs you only 500 naira.

9. Your submitted NIN would be validated. If your data with the Telco doesn't match with your NIN data, you would have to sort that out while your sim may be temporarily disabled.

10. Sale of new SIMs have been suspended till further notice, so no one can purchase any new SIM for now.

The strategy of GTB in number 3 above can be deployed by other banks to cater for people in Diaspora so that our diasporans can know what their generated NINs are (again, no adverts intended).

The Telcos and NCC need to think about how to handle issues of churned (reassigned) SIMS. I trust this is already in their radar.

This move by the NCC may cause us slight discomfort, but it's something we should all support and commit to, for our own safety security.

Copied!!!

APLs sign by PS? You mean Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Interior? The last time I checked APL for conpass 08 and above are sign by the board secretary while conpass 07 and below are sign by the respective CG.

I meant the Secretary to the CDCFIB Board

I said it ....Those Reps really mean it but they can't do anything because NIS followed lay down procedures to avoid 2016 from repeating itself.
CBAT was Reps suggestion....

THOSE SENATORS AND REPS CAN DO A LOT

You see, I decided to keep mum to questions directed to me on when exactly the shortlisted names will be out because I don't want to sound pessimistic. I told people who picked my line on Nairaland and called me a couple of days ago on the same matter that EVEN THE CGI himself doesn't know the exact day to release the list if at all it is ready on his table. I can't help saying that the list is NOT visible this year. A lot of administrative bottlenecks exist at the Board just like every other government establishments. So, proper consultations must be made and slots given to those who deserve them

Back to Reps and Senators brohaha. Of course, they are there to speak for their constituents. I am confident that the said Hon. Member didn't only speak for himself but minds of his many colleagues who share same sentiments. They must have asked him to first raise it and they begin to coin words to support the motion. In every recruitment, there must be actions/accusations, reactions and counter-reactions from different corners. They are actually not after cancelation of recruitment exercise for they don't have such powers, only MR PRESIDENT could do so. Their main intention is just to corner as many slots as possible. This is Immigration job, the most sought-after and juiciest among the four Services under Interior Ministry. Making such unnecessary noice will send a signal to CGl, the Board and Interior Ministry at large to play good cards for negotiation. Honourable Members and Distinguished Senators are elected and powerful Nigeria officials whose functions go beyond oversight functions alone.

Take note: we claim to practice democracy (fake or real) in Nigeria and with that assumption, Political Class decide for KHAKI WEARERS on many activities, no matter the rank. It is you that will use your head, play along and negotiate well so as to keep your seat. That has been the trend and any attempt to dare change the status quo will be met by restraints. You ll understand better when you come on board.

To those expecting APL collection and IPPIS capturing in this next stage of the exercise, it Is not so. The next stage you long for is about examining you physically and medically and most importantly collecting copies of your credentials in a file. It is that file that ll go back to the Board which eventually determine the rank you ll be given after another careful examination of what you have there-in. After all APLs are duly signed by the PS, another consultations with Account General's Office on the need to capture the successful ones on IPPIS platform. ALL THESE WILL TAKE TIME.

My bro, God bless u
.u are very humble o.. pls are we going to have access to our phones, because I can't imagine 6 months without phone...
What if there is an emergency and one need to leave the camp for like one week, will it be granted, even if one is very sick and needs to leave to treat him self

Unlike in the Military where any minor and manageable health issue automatically gets you disqualified, Paramilitary Agencies will still give a chance and during your Training, such health conditions are taken care of.

Although, every single trainee is expected to fully participate in all activities of the Camp but those with health conditions will be exempted from some rigorous activities to avoid CASUALTY. No Commandant will pray to watch his/her trainees die. So, those with such health conditions will surely present evidence or get tested by the College Health Center for confirmation. Some lazy able-bodied folks will want to hide under such privilege to evade activities, you know.

Female trainees are enjoined to close up for the entire Training Period to avoid pregnancy, periodic pregnancy test will be conducted as directed by the Commandant. Even with that, secret bleepings still happen at wee hours among trainees at secluded places based on arrangement

Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers whose children are still tolders are NOT expected to come for Training in the first place. However, if you can drop your child at home for six months, you ll just be collecting official pass once in a while to go home. The best option is to just forfeit the call for Training, that doesn't affect your job. Anytime other batch or other set is recruited, you ll join them for Training.

If there is a need for a trainee to leave the camp, he would have go through appropriate quarters and get official exact.

Use of handset is allowed but restrictions could be place on it expecially during Lecture Hours, Parades, Waepon Handling Drill etc to avoid distractions.
