What a story.

Why didn't you stay? or it wasn't your intention?

Good morning sir...

I didn't mean to qoute you, just wanted to share my experience to add to what people have said. I have just edited my story... Anyways, thank God you did show up.

The thread just woke up my interest again in Japan.

I hold BSc.Ed. Economics Education and Professional Master Degree in Disaster Risk Management (MDRM) with 2years plus experience in Security Job.

Having tried two US Universities for admission in MSc Disaster Studies leading to PhD but got denied. This thread just rekindle my interest in Japanese Education especially In my area of study where Japan is adjudged the best in the World.

As suggested by someone that national UNIVERSITIES are the cheapest. I ve tried to research on all of them but only four of the 86 National Universities in Japan offer my program and the application to those schools are strictly through Embassy of Japan in Applicants Home County or JICA. The four Unis are Ehime, KOBE, Kyoto and GRIPS (National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies).

Many of the private Universities offer the program, the likes of Kansai, Nihon, Waseda and host of others but the fees are on the higher side.

The alternative I think I do have now is Public Universities where fees are at par or slightly higher that those of National Unis. I have found one, UNIVERSITY of Hyogo.

I will like @Peaceful to share hints if she has any on Disaster Risk Management course in Japan.

The master I hold is a non-thesis type, the reason I am considering going for another Master's degree (thesis option) that will lead to PhD.

I stumbled on the this thread yesterday night and decided to read through all pages overnight.

Kudos to all those who have contributed and share hints and tips.

My own experience on MEXT Scholarships goes this...

I participated in the Maiden Edition of MEXT Teacher Training Scholarship in 2016 through 2017. The scholarship award was/is for Practising Teachers or Applicants with Education Degrees and the First Edition of such in Nigeria so I dedicated to apply since I have required papers. I remember I had to travel to Abuja and spent two solid weeks with my uncle.

Preparing my research proposal and calling and sending mails to my former Lecturers for inputs.

Certification of both WAEC, NCE and BSc.Ed. Certificates and transcripts at Federal Ministry of Education since the embassy requested for originals or authenticated copies.

Total Medical Examinations including Chest X-ray at the Uni-Abuja Teaching Hospital among others process as stipulated in the application process.

I personally submitted my application documents by hand to Japanese Embassy at Bobo Street, Maitama Abuja in December 2017.

In March 2017, I got a message via email that my application has passed the first stage and that I have been shortlisted to participate in both written exams and oral interview scheduled to hold at the Embassy which I did.

On the day of the Exams (both English and Japanese), we couldn't use the Embassy venue, we used one particular school like that (just a few minutes walk from the Embassy). After exams, papers were marks and results announced immediately. They didn't actually call scores, they just called names of participants when your name is called, you passed the exams and you process to interview segment.

Out of almost 100 who participated in the exams, about 30 plus of us (I couldn't remember the precise figure) were said to have passed the written exams and we were interviewed the same day. Other participants were asked to go. The interview panel consisted of two Japanese and few naija embassy staffs... I remember one Mr John among the embassy staff, he was very nice and jovial to us. The interview went well, I put in my very best, answered all questions directed to me to the best of ability. After the interview, we were told our results and documents will be sent to Japan (and the Universities we choosed). Till today, I didn't hear anything again ooo.

Unfortunately, I couldn't communicate other participants with whom I exchanged numbers that day because I lost my phone inside the night bus I followed back to the Southwest.

The only achievement I had from that journey were the Japanese books we were given after the interview. They brought many of them though, I only picked three, one on Japanese Foods and beverages, one on Japanese Culture and the one on Tourism. I think I still have them on my small shelf in my Papa house. I don't have them here, I could have snapped and attached the pictures of those books.

Thanks2God:
Though i have Degree but applied with N.C.E

During my documentation, one of the top officer wen about to sign my form after vetting my N.C.E certificate, asked me if am currently running my Bsc, I answered NO, that I already have Degree certificate but applied with N.C.E.
She said, why did do that because your Degree is now useless
. I answered her that I have used my degree certificate to apply 3 times and it work, I den decided to use lower certificate. She replied "and now u got the job... I said ma, that's the situation Nigeria Graduate found themselves.
She said "after 2years of confirmation, you can Apply for study Leave to go and do your Masters. Attach your Admission letter to the Application then wait for Approval, and make sure your study doesn't affect your official duty"
I replied, thank u ma for the Advice, but can someone use Masters instead of doing another Bsc. She answered "yes of course, the requirements ASI 2 say minimum of Bsc/HND so masters is acceptable because it above the minimum requirements"

I think getting approval for Study is were the challenge lies because after 2years there will be massive application for study leave
and there may maximum number of study leave application to be approved per period.

Those that know the chances of getting Study leave approval can throw more light,

The Officer has said it all. The ball is now in your court as to how to get study approval and other things ll follow.

My advice:-- Don't join those bittered Junior Officers that will be showing disdainful attitude to Senior Officers in the name of "I also have BSc grin grin"

There is this common saying that "YOU WILL NOT BE THERE WHEN DECISION IS BEING TAKEN ABOUT YOU.

Well, what an officer told us and what is written in the appointment letter is that we are all on probation till after satisfactory conduct, training and all. But immediately after confirmation, those with 1 star will automatically upgrade to 2 stars. So, I want to believe that during this period, you should be able to do your upgrade and conversion.. Na Officer there tell us too.. No be my own idea or perception o.

You must have misunderstood the Senior Officer's words if at all he said what you claimed he said.

This is how it works...

The confirmation of appointment is for all newly recruited personnel both Officers and Men. It comes for everyone after two years of appointment and good conducts. It doesn't necessarily mean getting promoted to a new rank, rather, it seals up your appointment and you are no longer under probation. That's the reason you ll have your Service Details appear in two places in Official Gazette of the Federal Republic. One will show your date of appointment while the second will show date of confirmation of appointment. (i.e two years after your date of appointment). This is for everybody regardless of your rank. You ll get to know about Gazatte at your State Command or Formation you are posted to when it is time for you to be Gazetted. It is compulsory for all. There is another thing we call COMPRO EXAMS. You all must write and pass the exams. There is category for both Senior and Junior officer.

Now, what the said Senior Officer may probably be referring to is called ADVANCEMENT. It is also called confirmation. The reason the man called it that way. It is ONLY meant for those who joined the service with One Star. They are to get the the second star after two years on the Job. That's the reason he said you ll be confirmed/advanced after two years. Note: the advancement may not come exactly after your two years in the Service. It may be delayed due to administrative bottlenecks but whenever the advancement list comes, it will be backdated to the exact date of your two years in the job. After that, the standard number of years you ll be due for next Promotion ll start counting.

Each Grade Level has a number of years to be counted before one is elegible for Promotion as stated by the Public Service Rules. Also, being eligible for promotion doesn't mean one must be promoted. I ll advise you all to get a copy of Public Service Rules and start digesting it expecially the Senior Officers.

Pls I would like gurus in the house to suggest varsities that offer security related Programs.

My Bsc is in Economics

My Master is in Disaster Risk Management (Professional Masters )

Job Experience (2years plus in Security Job)

Since my Master's degree is a Professional Type which I concluded will NOT be accepted for PhD study, I am looking at applying for an academic security related Master's Degree Program since I already have job experience in that line.

I one applied for MS. Homeland Security at two US Universities but was denied admission.

Really, and I just went to change the account I opened for this to current account? Oh Lord!

You are free to use any account type as your salary account... Either Standard Savings Account (NOT Student' Savings type), Salary Account (Semi-current) or Standard Current Account.

With Standard Savings Account, any amount can enter but your access to BANK LOANS is limited as banks don't disburse huge loans to Savings Account. Both Salary and Current Account afford you unlimited access to bank loans but maintenance fee is higher compared to Savings Account.

During our own time, we were advised to open Salary Account or Current Account but I decided to use the Savings Account I have been using for long. Even before getting the Job, i have decided I ll not at any time go for bank loan. It's a tough decision though because there ll be situations that call for loan taking.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not condemning taking bank loans. Situations might call for it at some points but if one is determined and has financial discipline, one might not near bank loan in his entire career life. Public Service Rule even frowns against Serious Financial Embarrassment/Bankruptcy, it is one of the acts of Serious Misconducts liable to disciplinary action by the Authority. There are alternatives to bank loan, very good and confinient ones. You ll get to know them when you enter proper.

Oga there is no way anyone finishes primary school at the age of 5. You think these people aren't experts in all this things? Walahi anyone going to say he finished at the age of 5 should do so at his/her own risk. You'll just find yourself at home.
You all should stop saying things have changed. No one finishes primary school at the age of 5, no one. You'll just be disqualified.

You can actually put forward your thoughts without using negative words on someone else's matter. Saying your fellow applicant will be disqualified is uncalled-for.

I understand you meant no harm but your word could be interpreted as though you are bittered about his progress.

I suggest you retract that line. Thank you.

This is a good long epistle. Very educating and concise.
Pls, I applied when I was 35, now I'm 36. But I claimed that I'm 30(during application) that is, 1990. I got my FSLC in 1996. My question here is this:
1. If I decide to use 1990 as my year of birth, with my FSLC obtained in 1996, would there be an issue during documentation?
2. If I decide to use 1985, as my real date(year of birth), with FSLC actually obtained in 1996, that is, I'm 36 years, but 35 when I applied, would they say I have gone beyond the age limit?

I think the National Assembly at one time stepped in concerning 30 years age boundary for recruitment into Public Service. I cannot categorically say weather it has been adjusted with Law backings or not. Like I said in one of my previous posts, I have among my coursemates who didn't cut their ages and they weren't denied the job. There are okay with the number of years they will spend in the Service.

In your own case Sir, I ll advise you prepare for the two Senarios. I mean using your real and and that of that of adjusted one with papers for each. When you get to the river, you ll know how to cross it. The Situation on ground will tell the one to go for. The personnel on ground too will definitely be of guide in your decision making. They are humans too and know how best to perfect stuffs like this. They cannot deny you of documentation. I hope you meet very good ones, not the ones that ll be extremely angry that his candidates are not selected. My own major concerns for you is to avoid what will affect your salary from IPPIS.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by SuppoOmoo: 6:54am On Aug 11, 2021
Once again, I congratulate all to-be Officers and Men on this forum. Abeg don't mind me, I know I too dey write long epistle

We all know within our church minds that the primary motive of getting a job is to earn money. I guess I am correct? Every other one na secondary. So, no go do wetin go make your salary hang when your colleagues dey use money do Thanksgiving

Whether you have doctored or even engineered your age, pls ensure that the exact age on your BVN is what you tell the IPPIS staff that will capture your data even if the age you are presenting to the Service that will be in your file is entirely different. The reason is that your salary go hang. Not only that, you go get issue with your RSA - Retirement Savings Account. Your contributions no go dey drop to that account until the age mismatch is corrected.

Did I confuse someone here? Lemme break it down...

Senario 1: If your age in your Service Record (in your file) is the same with bvn age and that of ippis age. No issues. This is the perfect one.

Senario 2: Age in your bvn is the same with IPPIS age but different from the age in your service record (in your file). No issues. Your salary and your Pension contributions go dey enter. The only implication of this is that. For your mind, you go dey consider the age in your file whereas the system dey consider the one with IPPIS. The day you clock the one with IPPIS, your salary ceases to drop. You are retired.

Senario 3: Age in your Service record is the same with IPPIS age but different from bvn age. Issues go dey. Age Mismatch. Salary go hang, Pension Contributions too go hang until it is corrected.

Your RSA number/pin will be issued to you by your Pension Fund Administrator (Pension Managers). There are about 20+ of them and you ll choose anyone you like to help you manage your retirement contributions. Representatives of each PFA will be on ground trying to draw you to their side. Registeration is free. Those who already have RSA pin before expecially those who had pensionable jobs before NIS job do not need to get another one again. You continue using the one you already have. Your contributions from your new job will add to whatever you already have in your Account.

If truely your APL will be issued to you in this phase of the recruitment exercise and the Department has informed IPPIS staff to be on ground for your enrollment. Then, you ll definitely need RSA. It is part of what the IPPIS staff will ask from you.

Lastly, no go do any mistake in your bank details during IPPIS enrollment ooo. Also, no go use another person's Service Number for enrollment by mistake. Both you and the person you mistakenly use his Service number no go get salary. IPPIS no go pay two people with the same Service number. Try cross check every single information of yours as the person is typing it on the system. Of course you ll face the computer screen and see all your information like that of NIN Enrollment Exercise. Ippis go teach you that O is different from 0 kiss grin tongue

I got shortlisted, I shed a tear when I saw it, because it's a bitter-sweet pill. I'm rounding off my M.Sc, but I got this job with my SSCE. I'm glad I finally got employed, but 5 yrs uni 3 yrs msc wasted. This country is not it at all, nonetheless, I'm not complaining, I give all thanks to Almighty God. And to those who didn't get shortlisted, stay strong, when the time is right, it shall happen, pray always.

I think I am having mixed feelings for you bro. But for your good mindset that you ain't complaining, I see you rise beyond your imagination in the Job you are entering. I understand you've made a huge sacrifice and decision, you just have to make few more sacrifice while in the Job and see yourself rise quickly.

In Paramilitary Service, the least rank can move through upgrading.

The In-charge station of one of our formations in a juicy state joined in 2001 as a Prison Assistant III, the lowest rank at the time when salary was very meagre. He had HND which was not useful to him at the time.

He accepted it In good faith, loyal to his Superiors, many dirty assignments/errands from those who didn't possess the HND he had but were his Seniors. He harboured no ill-filling, it was his choice. Even when he wanted to as humans, he would quickly call himself back. He would do any LAWFUL ASSIGNMENT due to his rank given to him.

Today, the man is now an AC and he's given a big station where he go dey chop wella. He got upgrading and know his ways to Ogas at the top. It doesn't come easy. He paid the price through being loyal and not allowing himself to be consumed by hatred when he was at the lowest rank. Many good recommendations in his file. Recommendation to go to school, another one for upgrading, another one to attend paid conferences to the one that gave him his new seat as In-charge Station.

Most of his coursemates then are now Harmonised one star or two star. Some didn't go to school again after joining, some went but not lucky to get upgrading.

Other similar examples abound. I am sure you ll get to know some too when you enter proper.

Good one there . You deserve one bottle for your smart response! Your Paramilitary Life has just begun. That's just one out of numerous privileges of Khakki Job. But you don't misuse it especially standing proxy for civilian friends and acquaintances you don't know deeply.

Read this recent incident from a soldier friend somewhere in Nigeria.

I attended a Court Martial.

A Court Martial is a military court empowered to try personnel subjected to military laws. It is like your normal court but exclusively for military personnel, to determine the culpability or otherwise.

The courtroom looks tensed as the Judge Advocate adjusted his wig for the millionth time.

The wig looks bigger than his small head - the shape of a dried cherry. His forehead gives a clue to the amount of energy he must have exerted to keep it shinning.

The soldier, the accused person was led to the court by a team of Military Police. His handcuff was removed at the entrance. He rubs the strain off his wrists.

He looks sober.

His trial didn't take time.

He was dismissed and handed over to the police.

I felt for him.

The full gist later came to me.

The accused soldier once exchanged number with a civilian months back.

They kept calling and cemented their relationship. The civilian was the father of the day at his wedding.

Weeks later, the civilian was driving his truck along Benin - Ore road. He was heading to an undisclosed location.

He had issues with the men of the Police and was asked to open the trunk of his truck.

"Why must I be subjected to this ridiculous conduct of these men" he must have thought.

He picked his phone, called his soldier friend. In a state of fury, the soldier spoke to the policemen. Stating that the truck with its content belongs to him and as such, the driver should be let go.

His rudeness infuriated the policemen. They forced the driver to open his truck.

When the driver did, it was a pile of locally fabricated rifles with loads of live cartridges.

He was arrested and taken to the police station.

It was investigated, the civilian claimed that the soldier had always been his authority to beat check points. He has indicted the soldier.

Police Headquarters wrote a letter, intimating the Army that one of it was involved in gunrunning.

The Army hates this. It hates name dragging.

The Army swung into action, the soldier was identified and arrested. He was questioned and he admitted to what the driver said albeit without knowledge of the content of the truck.

He can't be handed over to the police without being dismissed.

His trial was swift. The decision was atomic.

He was dismissed and handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution.

This soldier was once the best firer of the year. But does it matter?

He would have been a free man if he had only limited the friendship to phone calls and not delve into settling issues on behalf of the man. An anonymous issue at that.

There's a saying in the military.

"Civilians go talk." no drags.

Majority of those guys can't take heat when it gets to them in full force.

His defense would have been his freedom of association. But he went extra steps, "fronting" for a truck which he has zero knowledge of its content.

What would you do if you're gifted a gold bar worth billions of dollars?

Would you allow it be stolen or damaged?

Your reputation worths more. Guide it with your life.

Lesson: This soldier was once the best firer of the year. But does it matter

To those expecting this job, may your Paramilitary Life begin this month with your APL in your right hand. And may you wear your befitting rank this year...

To the *Supols* (Superior Officers), there is this natural pride that comes with wearing shining star(s).

Star will try raise your shoulder up, it will try separate you from your childhood friends and acquaintances in other Cadre, and so many other acts you never envisaged. Most times, It's not your making, that's the structure of the Job.

Please you will have to humble yourself, it will make you earn respect of old staff and new intakes like yourself both of whom, by the virtue of your rank automatically become your surbodinates. That's the standard, no age in Khakki Job, na wetin dey your shoulder!!!

But you ll have to always call yourself back should your shoulder wants to push you. Remember, many in other Ranks have the same Certificates that gave you star. Theirs couldn't give them star, it's their choice though. But be humble, give respect, sometimes bend rules and you ll see yourself delivering your given tasks effortlessly.

To other ranks, it is expected of you to give respect to your Senior at all times not minding whether he is far younger than you are and you are to obey LAWFUL ORDERS given by him.

You don't despite your Senior, he's got powers to deal with you and knows how to go about it. And if he is humane enough to overlook your deliberate excesses, you ll surely reap what you sow in multiple folds when you climb that ladder too. I have seen it happen, it's no joke. The Job is a team work. No single officer can take the glory all alone. It is the joint efforts of both Officers and Men that will make the Service achieve its mandates. Wishing you all the very best as you join the noble Immigration Service...

You see this my own two shining stars ba, i go add to am very soon. did I hear you say and type amen to my prayers

Any personnel of any rank at Non-commissioned Cadre can get upgrading to Superintendent Cadre so long he obtained his degree on the Job. There are other criteria which I am not in possible to say.

So, someone who joined the Service as an assistant Inspector will have to climb Inspector II, Inspector I before getting Assistant Superintendent II. If he doesn't want to go that way, he will have to obtain a Degree/HND Cert. (no more discrimination between the two) on the job and apply for upgrading. Date will show if he actually got the cert while in the Service or not plus approval letter that permitted him to go to school. NOTE: UPGRADING/CONVERSION IS NOT AUTOMATIC even after meeting all requirements.

Yeah, those who were Inspectors formerly and got the recently released 2020 promotion were promoted to Inspector I. They were expecting ASI/ASC II but the Service gave them Inspector I. They cannot use one star and the department has not yet designed their beffiting rank so they were asked to continue using their Inspector rank which is three iron bars. But the last month salary shows they have been placed on GL 08. i.e from 07 to 08. They have started enjoying the new salary now.

NOTE: One level forward salary structure as proposed has not been implemented yet. Only those who got promoted were placed on thier new grade levels accordingly.

So, from Inspectorate cadre, the arrangement is now like this

Assistant Inspector
Inspector II
Inspector I
Assistant Superintendent II
Assistant Superintendent I
Deputy Superintendent
Superintendent
.
.
.

Where the problem still lies now is Senior and Chief Assistant Ranks for those that joined from Assistant Cadre. We expect those two ranks too will be abolished to that the those who joined through Assistant Cadre too can rise quickly in the job. Alternative way for them is by Upgrading/Conversation if they get thier degrees while in Service and it is not automatic. You ll have to meet people to get upgrading

For them, they move like this
Assistant III (lowest rank)
Assistant II
Assistant I
Senior Assistant
Chief Assistant.

The chief Assistant will automatically transit to Inspector II after attending CPA course. He will only bypass Assistant Inspector (level 06) because he's already on level 07 as a Chief Assistant.

AGSMEIS/COVID-19 TCF: South South/North East record highest number of beneficiaries.

The South South geopolitical zone has recorded highest number of beneficiaries in the Agri-Business/Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme (AGSMEIS Loan Scheme) as CBN disburses N111.7 Billion to 29,023 Beneficiaries across the federation in the Programme.

With what I have read so far ... Are you people saying nobody will get these jobs based on merit .because I have not seen someone here on this forum saying he got paramilitary job without strong connection

People still do because what is destined to be yours will be yours and what is not meant for you will still elude you no matter your connection.

I remember in Police ASP recruitment 2016 which I also participated in. A street acquaintance who applied was directed to one big man in Abuja. When he got to Abuja then, he put up @ his friend apartment who also applied for the cadre. So, they both went to meet the man to submit their names.

Coincidentally, the big man's third name is the friend's Surname. God knows how he does His things... Na the Abuja friend eventually saw his name for final list in December, 2016 and he's already hanging his two stars now (confirmed ASP)

It may have happened that when big man submitted the two names, those that typed the final lists just assumed the guy who bears Oga's name is his relative. And the oga cannot bring in two ASPs as many are also on the que. So, his destiny worked for him there.

Guy Forget about the assigned Application number. if the connection is strong he can still get the job even with the wrong format application number. Remember there are people who are on batch C correctional service list, Most of them don't have Application number but the are warming up to become officers in few weeks.
My advice is don't give up yet because of mere Application number anything is possible

Point of corrections... Batch C have just concluded their Induction Exercise and have been posted to their different Stations. The one you are referring to is another batch and those concerned will be soon be issued thier APLs, hence become part of the Service.

Batch A which I am part of got APLs in September, 2019

Batch B got theirs in September, 2020.

Batch C got theirs in March, 2021. Their own Induction Exercise was brief though, not up to three months. They are already working in their different Stations now.

Another batch is warming up as you just said.

Weather one register or not, if you meet your God-sent, you can have your APL in your right hand. Few of my Coursemates whom we trained together as First Batch Officers confirmed they didn't register at all. Infact, two of them are in their early 40s who were not even expecting the offer at all. But when one connection lead to another, they too came in to chop Federal Government money small at least for less than 20years all thing being equal.

To my guy, Mr 300k for ASC slot. I want to believe it's just a part payment and there is a solid agreement between you both for the balance payment when your deal clicks. No one will give you ASC slot for 300k. In Nigeria of today, for someone to start a career with one star and above, it either you are a high-valued professional (eg Legal,Medical and few others) and your service is desperately required in the department at the time; or God perform His wonders that your name must be on the final list no matter what; or through one big man God use for you; or you buy within the market price range. So my 300k guy, lemme assume you're on YELLOW, and I pray you move to WHITE las las.

I checked your previous comments but couldn't find any answer related to the question.

You didn't check well, I actually talked on your concerns on Dec 12, 2020 when someone did ask similar questions. Anyways let me repost it here...

Unlike in the Military where any minor and manageable health issue automatically gets you disqualified, Paramilitary Agencies will still give a chance and during your Training, such health conditions are taken care of.

Although, every single trainee is expected to fully participate in all activities of the Camp but those with health conditions will be exempted from some rigorous activities to avoid CASUALTY. No Commandant will pray to watch his/her trainees die. So, those with such health conditions will surely present evidence or get tested by the College Health Center for confirmation. Some lazy able-bodied folks will want to hide under such privilege to evade activities, you know.

Female trainees are enjoined to close up for the entire Training Period to avoid pregnancy, periodic pregnancy test will be conducted as directed by the Commandant. Even with that, secret bleepings still happen at wee hours among trainees at secluded places based on arrangement

Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers whose children are still tolders are NOT expected to come for Training in the first place. However, if you can drop your child at home for six months, you ll just be collecting official pass once in a while to go home. The best option is to just forfeit the call for Training, that doesn't affect your job. Anytime other batch or other set is recruited, you ll join them for Training.

If there is a need for a trainee to leave the camp, he would have go through appropriate quarters and get official exact.

Use of handset is allowed but restrictions could be placed on it expecially during Lecture Hours, Parades, Waepon Handling Drill etc to avoid distractions.

Well detailed...Boss pls how many slots of SAI ( Graduates) do you think a CG can get in a fresh recruitment? Secondly, does a CG have the right to send an SAI to the camp without the Board's approval? Thirdly, I was opportuned around two to three years ago to be shortlisted in one of the departments in Interor I mean uniform work..we went down to my state for physical screening, and exams after which two of our names were sent to one of the Top Officers ( I mean top officer) in the department and he promised to help at the end of it all the other guy's name came out and mine didn't come out whereas this very guy in question, his name didn't come out in the first stage but at last his own came and mine didn't comebout... My connect contacted the officer then he promised to do it that my connect should calmdown, the officer requested for my C.V twice uptil now nothing...can anything still be done in this senerio?

I beg your pardon... Ayam not understanding the scenario you are trying to paint. Could you pls make it concise?

Thanks man

Please can you give an insight into what happens during the 6month training? And do you have an idea when we will be called to camp? I need to know this so as to know when to begin my exit process in my current place of work.

On camp activities? This has been explained in one of my previous posts. Check posts made from Dec 10 through December ending.

When you ll be called to camp? This I cannot categorically say. But quiting your present job now is not a wise decision. Remember that final list is not yet concluded for APL collection; Induction exercise at various State Commands for either six weeks, two months or three months before call for camp.

Another politics is that those who are working and haven't resigned may decide to evade Induction Exercise after collecting APL and being captured by IPPIS PLATFORM and you will all meet during camp. You don't try such if you don't have Ogas at the top or you negotiate your way with those In-charge of Induction Training. Even when call for camp eventually come, not every trainee will report as directed. Some big man pikins will not show until when they deem it fit. This is NIGERIA!

I wouldn't advice anyone to indulge in the above because your Paramilitary Life begins with Induction Exercise and whatever you miss in terms of training expecially parade, it may be difficult to catch up with your dedicated coursemates who fully participate in all activities. And it will definitely reflect in job
delivery and performance on the job.

Just to add to what few individuals have said on job slots...

Take it or leave it, slots must be given to those who deserve them. The list of these people are numerous so I ll leave those outside and only talk on those withing the department.

Within the department, the No 1 man, the CG will give slots to DCGs & ACGs. Few Controllers too, especially those that have Stations/Commands will also get slots depending on the loyalty to his boss. Note: Loyalty matters a lot in Khakki Jobs. A Controller may enjoy privileges from CG more than ACG on stuffs like this.

So, having lobied for and been given slots, the above mentioned Big Rank Officers may decide to give to their children, relatives or loyal acquaintances. Conversely, they may decide to sell it out but do you know the gimmicks? No high ranking officer will want to bring his name to mud by advertising job slots if he wants to sell. They sell it through their loyal young or mid-level officers or better still, through their matured orderly officers. That's the reason you hear some low ranking personnel claiming they can get you slots. They rely on their boss's slots. However, you may end up being scammed if you are gullible 'cos not all those who parade themselves of having slots do actually have.

On the prices of slots Leave it or take it, getting one star will have you part with nothing less than 800k to 1m. Two stars in Paramilitary Jobs is 1.5m. I am very sure that most other ranks are given out for free but few benefiaries will still have to part with between 300k to 500k even above depending on the middlemen just like someone has rightly said. That's the reality of the happenings in Nigeria Job Market today.

On whether the Ogas are aware or not They are damn aware of everything but it's the system which I am confident getting it better is just a mirage. In every recruitment exercise, aside the slots cornered by top Government Official and Politicians, each CG will always give slots to his counterparts in sister departments and his surbodinates within his department and usually enjoin that that they should use it to help people around them. These slots are usually ended up being sold.

A scenario happened during our induction training in my Command. Two different parents brought a case to our then Controller claiming they paid 1m and 1.2m respectively for thier children jobs to one of our mid-level officers but none of the two clicked. God bless the Big Man, in his diplomacy, he tried calm them down and had to lie that the said officer had been transferred out to other state. He also mildly scold the parents that why wiil they have to come to his station and make noise? Supposing the job had clicked as promised, would they have come to him for thanksgiving? afterall, he wasn't there when the deal was made. The parents had to leave sluggishly. One of the two guys eventually got the job via the third batch who have just concluded Induction Exercise recently. I don't know how the second one was settled

The bottom line is, for those who desire one star, you are either given free by your God-sent (many will get through this avenue) or you part with huge sum of money ranging 800k and above. And to other ranks, you may be lucky to have it even without knowing anyone. Those who will get the job eventually, you will hear a lot of stories of how your coursemates get the job during six months training as you guys will gist and open up to one another.

Just like I've always said, don't be gullible and so desperate to avoid being scammed. Legit sources dey, the opposite self dey.

IRE O, IRE KÀBÌTÌ!!!
