Amidst rising inflation and insecurity, protesters has allegedly thronged the streets of Ondo State South West Nigeria with flags of Yoruba nation solidarity.

The video making the rounds in the social media, X in particular, shows a good number of protesters on the street with Yoruba nation solidarity flags, marching the streets.

At the time of filing this report, we could not independently confirm when the video was made.

We have done this union for 60 years plus and we keep getting worse each election and each president. Why dont we just sit down and say, okay, seems this union wont work, can we trry another thing else?

VIDEO: Gunmen Kidnap School Pupils in Ekiti Community

Gunmen have reportedly abducted an undisclosed number of schoolchildren in Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

According to a post by Ekititrends on its X account on Tuesday, the incident involved students from Apostolic Faith School who were allegedly kidnapped on Monday while traveling from Emure Ekiti to Eporo Ekiti on their school bus yesterday evening.

On Monday, two traditional rulers in Ekiti State were reportedly killed by gunmen.

The incident occurred between Oke-Ako and Ipao-Ekiti in Ajoni Local Government Area.

The victims, identified as the Onimojo of Imojo Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti in Ajoni, Ikole Local Government Area, were attacked while returning from a meeting.

She could still raise her kids, make money, without carrying unnecessary baggage of disrepute.

Today may seem ok with her, how about tomorrow?. Does she know where God is taking her to?. Maybe political office/appointment, and today will resurface.

I'm not against her, I'm simply saying silence means consent/affirmation. Let her try and publish her own side of the story at least for future reference, that's if she's innocent as you claim.

Sierra Leone's Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Displays 8.6 Billion Leones Recovered in Corruption Probe Involving Ministry of Finance and SLRA Staff

In a noteworthy development, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) disclosed the recovery of a sum of 8.6 billion old Leones during a press briefing.

This marks a pivotal milestone in an alleged corruption case involving personnel from the Ministry of Finance and the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA).

During the briefing, the Commissioner highlighted the scale of the recovery, describing it as a substantial amount embezzled by individuals under investigation at the SLRA.

Six individuals implicated in the case openly admitted to their involvement in the embezzlement and voluntarily reimbursed the state while under detention pending further investigations.

The Commissioner stated, “It’s indeed a sea of money recovered from the corrupt who had embezzled it in one of the cases we are investigating at the SLRA. Six people admitted to stealing it and paid it back to the state, having been detained for their crime pending investigations.”

The total recovered amount in this particular case alone amounts to a staggering 8.6 billion Leones.

The new Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Salifu Joel Oyibo, surprisingly prostrated before the immediate past Governor of the state, Yahaya Bello.

Naija News reports that Oyibo caused a stir on Saturday during the inauguration of Usman Ododo as the 5th democratically elected governor of the North Central state.

In a viral video seen by our correspondent, Oyibo, after he took his oath of office as the deputy governor, went ahead prostrate before Bello and also bowed for other special guests at the ceremony.

Also, Oyibo’s wife joined in kneeling for the immediate past governor and his wife at the event.

The event had in attendance the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, Ododo’s predecessor, Yahaya Bello, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje and other top members of the party.
