Hello mamas in the house, biko how do u get rid of baby's stubborn milk stain in there tongue (my baby ia almost 2 months). I use wash cloth and dip in water to clean d tongue gently but it is still there. Pls help a first time mum. |

BS My first three months of pregnancy was the most challenging part for me ( so i thought) cos i had the most severe morning sickness. Fast worward to 2nd trimester when every thing was gettimg better, i got d shock of my life at my anomaly scan at 20 weeks. My dear son who i had fallen in love with had " an echogenic bowel" in otherwords, he might be born with : down symdrom. My gynaes office had called me to inform me that i was having a boy and he might have down syndrom. Hmmm, my world fell apart and i was giving an appointment with the genetic counsellor to weigh my option on a wednesday like that. It was the longest wednesday of my life and i did my own research on google and off i went to see the genetic counsellor. She explained to me how my baby might have ds, and how it is better if i have an amnioscentensis done which will show if he will have ds or not after which i can have an abortion and also explained the 1% possibility of misacarriage after amnioscentensis. My dh and i weighed our options and we told her straight away that we wont have the amnio done cos we dont even wanna loose him even thouğh its 1% and even if he ends up with ds, we will love him anyway. I did pray about it and a day does not pass without me thinking about it but i was strong and told God that all i want is a healthy baby. When i got to almost d end of d pregnancy, i couldnt just wait yo meet him. On Tues 8th of Aug. Baby was already overdue for 9days but wouldnt come so my gynae booked me for a foetal assessment that day. At the assessment, it was noticed that the amniotic fluid sorrounding baby had reduced so much and i had to be induced. I went straight to d hospital and d procedure started. So... on NL, i have heard a lot abt Oxytocin and how mad it makes one get.i took oxytocin for 2 whole days and never felt contraction. They then decided to break my water which made d feel d contraction to some extent but that wasnt just enough for it. While all this was happening, baby was busy sleeping and moving from one comfortanle zone to another without any attempt to come out. I was 6cm dilated no real contraction and upgraded from oxytocin to another medication ( dont know d name) which is a more effective one after which i got my epidural. With all efforts made, baby still refused to show. That was my 3rd day and i had to inform d doctors i cldnt do it more and want a cs. I was prepared for cs and within 15mins, d most handsome boy with all shades of cuteness came out and i was given for skin to skin with mama and all i did was hold him and prayed for him.hmmm, my baby does not have down syndrom not even close. He is d finest boy i have seen and his name is OLUWALEWAMI( God is my beauty) Thanks for all the mentions, likes, and prayers, i really aprpreciate them and pardon my errors. 69 Likes |

My last antenantal was last Wednesday and for d first time i had swollen legs which i informed d doctor so she checked my bp and d next thing she said was that my bp was high and sent me to the hospital straight to be monitored seriously and if need be, i should be induced ( induction ke...mogbe ooo)she also checked my cervix and said it was closed ( imagine at 39weeks and 3days oo) i sha carry mysef to hospital... come and see gbogbo monitoring. Machine set for babys heart beat. I was told i might be induced...come and see me shaking ( induction is my greatest fear) i com ask if i have a right to choose cs to induction and doctor said i really do not have an option.hmmmm. so they waited for urine and blood test result to come and they were good... came back negative. They checked bp like 4 times and they all came back good. Na so dem later decide to leave me to go home and come back next monday for antenantal and see how far. I was happy ehn..even though i rili want to have this baby right now abeg no be through induction ooo. Na so i carry my load run comot for hospital. 5 Likes |

lioha:Thanks mama for this advise as i was going to say d same thing. I remember i was at Ikorodu General Hospital sometime ago b4 i even got pregnant and they were having antenantal. The midwife there was advising on cleaning d breast with coconut water and olive oil so d milk can flow well after birth but she expressly stated that this should be done from 8months upward as it can cause miscarriage if done early. If contraction starts from 8 months and above atleast baby is ready to be born. So plsssss it is not advisable to do that at 5months as it can cause miscarriage. I just started mine sef as i am 38 weeks today. So the mama that is doing it should plss stop. Cc Anugod 10 Likes |

curvilicious:I am not really sure . Though i heard it contains a little nicotine i guess that's why. All i know is that when a friend recommended it to me, she told me not to swallow al though there were times i did. So i am not really sure if its harmfyl or not. |

Can this baby just come already cos i am tired oooo. Oti sumi mehn. Some times i just feel like crying. I want my freedom ( yeah i know vigilante is real) but i will prefer it to this state i am in right now. I am just 37weeks +5 but i feel like i have been carrying this pregnancy all my life. Trish102:Hmmmm. Whether it was your first pregnancy and it ended b4 12 weeks or not, u have to get the rhogham shot latest 72hrs after d evacuation. I have read about people who got sensitized even though there pregnancy ended in their 6th week. |

Yea, i got the rhogham shot at 28 weeks and was also given another rhogham shot appointment for 1st August i.e if i do not give birth b4 then and if i do, i will just get it at d hospital after delivery. Generally speaking, i wish we can just fast forward to July sharp sharp cos i no understand how my body dey do. To walk is wahala, and i keep sleeping all day. I do not just feel strong like i use to. Anyways, it is well with us all. Amen #Team July |

Laureen007:I have experienced exactly this pain b4 ( though it was before i got pregnant) i had left pelvic pain wc travels down my thigh. Although mine wasnt fibroid, it was ovarian cyst. U can google symptoms of ovarian cyst. |

spiceeamiee:Hmmmm i am so surprised at this. The reason u should have the rhogham shot is because u are not sensitized cos once someone gets sensitized, u dont need it as there is nothing the shot can do. So pls if u can get it on ur own, u should. |
