@ phlakkeys, thanks for always having us in mind. U are such a darling. I went for fatal assessment last week to check if the position of my placenta is now ok and yea.. God did it as everything was perfect from baby weight ( 2pounds at 27 weeks) to amniotic fluid and all measurement ( i give God d glory)
As for shopping, i finished my shopping since April. I have even packed my hospital bag ( no time to waste time). So i am just patiently waiting for July to come.
I do have an appointment tommorrow though as i am rhesus negative so i should get my rhogbam shot since i am already 28weeks.
All has been good and i really cant wait to meet my lo.

hello, please when is it right for one to start taking folic acid.

Start using folic acid as soon as you are trying to conceive. It is good to have folic acid in your system b4 conceiving to prevent birth defect ( spina bifida) if u do not start b4 conceiving, u can start as soon as u know u are pregnant.

@suremum ,same thing the sonographer told me at 29weeks plus breech baby ,i came here 'paraing ' .We can only PRAY ,talk to your Lo and not worry ourselves .my doc say it's not an issue yet until 36\37 weeks but you need to avoid stress ,carrying heavy things and rough sex .God will take control finally

Thanks ma. I pray it corrects itself. Rough sex ke infact i cant remember d last time i had sex. Gynae expressly said no sexual intercouse. May God help us all

pls what is this anomally scan everyone keeps saying?

Anomally scan is usually done at 20weeks to check for every part of baby to see if there is any form of chromosonal defect, if baby is fine etc. In canada where i live, every pregnant woman is entitled to only one scan wc is the 20weeks scan except if they find any tin abnormal in the baby or mother during scan then they can schedule another scan. In summary, it is a scan where all babys features are checked, number of babies, they also check for gender even though the sonographer must not disclose baby's gender.

U got me laughing @ cocacola mama.lol. well... baby's gender is xy and we are doing good. Shopping starts this weekend and i really cant wait. Gynae said placenta is anterior and frm what she said i think i am at risk of placenta previa. She has put me on pelvic rest, no travelling out of the ciťy and generally not stressing mysef and incase of any blèeding, i should rush straight to d hospital . Me sef kuku ma add bed rest to it cos wen i stand too much d pressure on my cervix bcoms so much that i feel thats where baby stays. I have an appointment at week 32 to check for previa as d doctor thinks the placenta can still move up by itself. From my 32 weeks appointment then we will know what next. Ever since my 20weeks anomally scan, my life hasnt been d same cos it has been one thing or the other. Thats y i just siddon dey watch and to comment here sef na wahala. I pray at the end of the day we all carry our healthy LO's. Thanks for d good work our dear cappo.

I wasn't well informed about this blood group palava so I didn't get a rhogam shot. Tho I took the rhogam injection now but some doctors are of the opinion that It can't work again since I have been sensitized from the first pregnancy. How are u sure your bĺood group caused your babys death at 25weeks? Was your blood taken and tested for sensitivity while pregnant with d baby u lost? If yes, was ur blood already sensitized due to your previous miscarriage or not? There are so many reasons one can loose a pregnancy so dont conclude yet.

Gud day mamas, Please is it true that caffeinated drinks are not good in early pregnancy, I don't d doctor that told hubby it reduces foetus growth ooo. Guy man don pend my coke and Pepsi drink o and seriously those stuff are life saver for me.

Please stay away from them as much as u can. I am a coca cola addict and ever since i got preg, i reduced it drastically. Infact i can go a month without one. I am in week 20 now and i still run away from caffeinated drinks. Do it for your baby please.

With this pregnancy, right from 5weeks have been sick, Yes SICK and am just 10weeks plus now. Morning sickness won't let me be. After hustling to get the best amala and catfish in town this afternoon, the thing didn't even stay up to 10mins before I threw up. Have bin crying ever since.
I just need to close my eyes now and open up to September already.

Lol. Sorry love. I went thru same and i thought i was going to die. Everyday i pick up my phone, i will google" pregnancy torture" cos that's d only way i could describe what i felt..torture. I thank God @12weeks i felt relieve at 13 weeks, all MS disappeared. Here i am at 18 weeks enjoying every bit of it. So...it wiĺl soon be over. Dont cry ok.

Calm down mama, i do not think thats a problem at all. I am also 17weeks gone and havnt felt anytin. So it's normal. With time u will feel it.

Y cant u divide 0.5 into 2 and use different days in a week mayb u wont experience d pain. It is well with u dear.

@momoftheyear16, I have been battling with the cyst since 2015. In May this year, I went for an ultrasound and my cyst has become large and I was constantly having sharp pain in my left ovary. I met a gynae at a General hospital who prescribed antibiotics for me levofloxacin 500mg ( once a day for 7days), Flagyl 400mg ( thrice a day) for 5 days and then paracetamol (thrice a day for 3days) I took them religiously) after that, I went back to the hospital and the doctor said if the cyst hasn't gone, that means my only option then is surgery as it was a large complex cystand advise I try get pregnant with the cyst. Surgery was just not an option for me and I never even thought of doing a scan after d antibiotics. I decided to go natural and stocked my fridge with fruits and vegetables as this as I have read can shrink cyst though might not be so effective for my kind of cyst ( complex) so since last week I started living my life like a vegetarian. Yesterday morning sometin told me to go for a scan so I can know d size of d cyst now and then monitor it from time to time to see if it will shrink. With so much fear in my heart, I waited for the sonographer to tell me it has increased ( which was my fear) lo and behold, he checked and checked and there was nothing ( as in notin) my ovaries are fine. The sonographer was surprised too and ask if I treated it and I told him I took antibiotics. In his opinion, the antibiotics was effective and must have been the reason d cyst is gone. I hope this help and u get solution to yours too.

HELLO Teamies, how are we doing? Hope we are now enjoying this our 2nd trimester. Let's try and make good use of this trimester to do shakara, go for shopping, visit friends and family, go on vacation with hubby, take half way to go bump pictures with hubby, and just enjoy the preggy . I pray that God will supply all our needs to be able to enjoy our preggy to the fullness.

I hope by now we've all registered for our ANC. If not, let's endeavour to do so this month and those of us that have taken our 1st TT & malaria tablet, let's not forget our appointment day (4weeks after 1st TT) to go for our 2nd TT. God will continue to strengthen us..

Am sure by now, some of us have seen our baby gender, please, let's start to supply our Team XX for BBG & XY for BBB.
My next scan will be on 14th #mybirthday with hope that baby will open leg so I can finish up my shopping this month.
Please Teamies, its important we start shopping now, no matter how little you can afford. It ease the stress of moving around with big bump, (I heard some market women use to increase the price once they see you are pregnant and won't sell at wholesale price.) and it also relieve our pocket in a way (price of baby things goes high on daily basis). I also see it as a way of exercising and freeing us from boredom for those of us that are not working.

How far with our bumps? Am sure some of us are already showing. All my church wears, both English & native (except iro&buba) are no longer my size. I couldn't meet up with bible study yesterday because I was busy looking for cloth that fit. I had to loose up one and sew it back before I could wear it yesterday, Am just waiting to know baby sex so I can do shopping for both of us.

For those of us that are new, today is prayer Monday. We all know we can't do it alone so we constantly need to pray for God to see us through with baby alive, mother alive, and father rejoicing with plenty money.
Tomorrow is bump Tuesday. It's an opportunity for us to show our bump to our teamies, just for the fun of pregnancy.
Also, let's constantly come online to update us on our feelings. Remember, we are free to rant at any point in time. It's a way to keep our mind free of things disturbing us and of keeping the group alive.

Please Teamies, if you wake at any time in the night, either to urinate, drink or eat (like myself now), let's always try to pray. We can just put our hands on our belly and say one or two words of prayer for our self and baby. Don't underestimate the power of a preggy woman prayer.

As for us #TeamJuly, we shall not cast our young, we shall know no loss of any kind, we shall carry to term, we shall be congratulated all through this year, we shall not lack any good thing, the fruit of our womb shall be called blessed and The Lord will never leave us nor forsake us. Frustrating as i have to always have food on standby all d time even when i am going out for like 4hours, i have to pack like 2 different food plus ijekuje. Hehehehe ( ko easy mehn).

Yes (0.5mg). I divide the 0.5mg into 2, half taken on monday and the other half on Friday. Since u have taken a dose yday, u have to wait till next friday. I wish u d best and u can mention me anytime u need my attention, i will always be available to answer. Take care

Heĺlo mama, sorry i have not been online. My prolactin was elevated as the lab normal range was between(1-16) and mine was 23.99.
As to how i use d carbargoline, i divide one tablet into 2, take one on Monday and the other on Friday and continue like that every week.

MS showed me shege though i am thankful that it has totally reduced. After conquering complex ovarian cyst, d next things to look out for were solution to the acne that v turned my face to der place of abode( my face use to be very very smooth), then serious migraine that comes sometimes(I had it twice and felt like I was going to die), and scanty period ( my period use to be 3 to 4 days) and suddenly reduced to 1 and a half days.
I went for hormonal profile ( day 3) everytin was good except for my prolactin wc was so high.
I did a lot of research and help from mamas here, I put mysef on carbargoline.
First month on carbargoline, my acne disappeared, headache reduced.
Second month, my menstrual flow increased from 1 and half days to 2 and half.Third month, I relocated and joined my husband. I started having cramps like 10days b4 my period, another disappointment I said and I went straight to the store and got sanitary pad. The day b4 expected period, I had serious cramp and was almost abt to wear my pad. D cramp went, next day notin.
Today, I v bn 4 days late n decided to take a test. First test, and it came out positive, as in BFP.
I became d happiest woman alive. I pray everyone TTC shall have good news soon. Thanks fvine for always been there and 4realwoman, I can't forget the gifts u gave me and other sabi mamas thank u so much. May God wipe our tears just like he did mine.

I am new here. I think I passed thru here last 2011.
Please I need your advice. Been battling with irregular/ceased menses for a while and I am TTC. Sometimes it come once in 1 year. Most time if it would come i have to use primolut N etc. I'd done series of test from Hormonal assay to thyroid,hsg, etc just to be sure what the issue is. The result are conflicting. High LH, sometimes High FSH. I'm sure they are
even confused cos they keep referring me to do series of test and I am tired. I'd seen different gyno...keep spending more than my income just to have a regular menses. Some1 recommend combination3. But am afraid she just said keep using it everyday till the menses regularises... Pls advice what can I do...I am so.worried...hubby is panicking... I'd prayed...I'd fasted..can fertility massage help. Pls help.a sister here. I pray our testimonies will shake the world and bring people to Christ. Pls respond miracle must happen

Irregular/ceased menses can be as a result of the following : hormonal inbalance ( high prolactin causes ceased/ irregular period) have u checked your prolactin level? Also, PCOS, ovarian cyst and asherman can cause same. Visit a good gynae and do appropriate tests to know where the problem is coming from. Take care

If it was the contraceptives, it probably messed up with your hormone and I will advice u go for hormonal profile ( day 3)or see a gynaecologist so u can know where d problem is coming from. @mztubsy, welcome to the group and I pray your stay should be short (Amen). Please use your prescription religiously and ensure that u and dh do not bd ( unprotected) while on it so u dnt keep transferring it to each other.Pelvic Inflamatory Disease is quite scary I agree though I will tell u that people have conceived after a battle with Pid. It actually depend on how long u have had it and how much damage it has caused. So relax and take your drugs then try for like 2-3 cycles and if nothing happens ( even though I pray u get preg b4 then) then u can go for hsg to check your tubes then u know what other step to take from there. Note that Pid reduce fertility in some cases but that doesn't mean pregnancy won't happen. I have seen mamas get preg here with Pid. Wishing u the best.

My Dostinex prescription is 0.5mg, 1 tab once a week preferably Saturdays or Sundays in case of side effects but I had no side effects though.

Ok ma. I divide 0.5mg into 2 and use twice a week. So we still use same dosage a week. I use mine at night. It makes me week throughout d next day. It is well with us all cos I tire.

Carbogoline (dostinex) is use twice a week and not everyday. It's is well with us.

@ omalady, just like the mama who answered u had said, try and do hormonal profile or see a gynae. As for your period coming on different days in every month, I don't think that is an issue.

@pweetiebabe sorry about that, I will suggest u check your prolactin level again and if it isn't going down, u can try and change to something else like cabergoline. I also have an elevated prolactin and while I was trying to choose between brimocripton and carbogoline, I did search online and saw that carbogoline is more effective and that brimocripton does not work for some people. Also, the side effects of carbogoline are more tolerated. U can do ur research or see your gynae. Take care ma'm
