Better buy direct ticket to the States to avoid stories that touch.

onatisi: so during the interview u will be asked again to go and print out ur statement again? From where ? Are bank statement submitted electronically initially ? From a branch of your bank close to the embassy. They've got almost all banks there. You submit a printed one and they check it. If they decide to issue you visa, they ask you to go reprint the same bank statement at a nearby branch ~ Sheyi |

lucky032: plz,do you know how i can book a hotel reservation i can still cancel after i have gotten a visa plz Depends on the type of hotel reservation. If you want to pay, use www.amoma.com www.hotels.com and make sure you schedule the ones that has 100% refund. Try read the t&c very well before putting your card details. If it's for the sake of hotel booking, then use hrs.com or accorhotels.com and select any hotel without you putting your card. ~ Sheyi |

moneybag100: hi bro...pls what document did you submit a-z and what balance did you have in the bank statement presented? thanks. It has been discussed here times without number. Check again to see list of documents required. Speaking of bank statement. All you need do is have at least 400k balance in your account every month for the last three months. That means, you must run a very good statement but your account must have at least 400k after spending monthly and the balance should be about 1.5m when printing. You'll be asked to go print your statement during your interview and if you bring same stuff you submitted, you'll surely get your Mexican visa! Esp for family... most embassies value family travel. ~ Sheyi |

acadollar: My brothers, Is so suprising, assuming a Visa officer is on this thread, he has already assumed that Nigerians are not coming here to study but money mongers. at times i wonder if people understand that this place is a social and public site with thousands of people all over the world accessing it. As in ehn, there are bigger opportunities in SK compare to this working and earning $1500 alone Tech startups are making it big there. Americans needs to learn Asian's longevity and one can bridge the gap btw SK and USA Guys, like a poster wrote above, learn something before going anywhere in the world. It's been long I spent a straight 3-months in Nigeria always going from one place to the other and I don't work abroad... How do I earn money ? Internet Marketing and blogging Fine, it might be little but it's enough to cater for my lifestyle and I'm so proud of myself anywhere I go! Biko, you can even go to South Korea, prepare for a solid 1 year feeding and rent and schoool fees, then find a way to get into a school and be their representatives.... Nigerians will be happy to go through you to come study there... too many things to say Research about SK online. Read and read ~ Sheyi |

Politics › Re: The Status Of Federal House Of Representatives Speakership by suxes2005(m): 12:49am On Jun 07, 2015 |
barcanista: This thread is to enlighten people with respect to the status of the House of Representative Speakership. Earlier today, after reading this thread https://www.nairaland.com/2361982/speakership-gbajabiamila-wins-apc-primaries, lots of people had the false impression that Hon Femi Gbajabiamila has been elected Speaker of the Federal House of Representative. Some supporters of Hon Gbajabiamila are even celebrating, chanting victory songs and calling Hon Dongara to sheath his sword. The status is that there is NO Speaker-elect of Federal House of Representative as at today 06/06/2015.
How The Speaker is Chosen: The Constitution is very clear on how House of Representative Speaker is to emerge. According to Section 50(1b) "There shall be a Speaker and a Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, who shall be elected by the members of that House from among themselves. The position of the law is that the Speaker of the House and his/her Deputy are to emerge by election, and only members of the house irrespective of party affiliation are eligible to stand as candidate(s) and also participate in the voting process. As at today, no such election has taken place.
The Status of The "APC" Speaker Primaries The so-called APC "Speaker" Primary election that produced Femi Gbajabiamila as Speaker is alien to the law. It has binding on no one, not even on APC members, and has no effect whatsoever in the process. Hon Gbajabiamila's emergence as Speaker of the APC promary is nothing but the "advisory" position of the party.
Can Gbajabiamila Lose The Speakership? Absolutely YES! APC has 214 Lawmakers in the House, PDP 121, while LP, APGA and Accord have 10 combined. Of all the APC members, 154 endorsed Gbajabiamila, 61 members boycotted the so called "primary". Hon Dogara will emerge Speaker should the pro-Dogara 61 APC legislators and the 121 PDP members vote for him(Dogara) on the day of the election irrespective of who the other 10 non PDP/APC members cast their vote for. With the adoption of a PDP candidate for the Deputy Speaker position, Ðongara will most likely get the nod of PDP contingents.
2011 Precedent: In 2011 the PDP adopted Hon Mulikat Adeola and the party instructed all its members to vote for the Ogbomoso born Mulikat for the position. However, it was not to be as the ACN/CPC(APC) and rebellious PDP members voted against the PDP candidate, and voted Hon Saminu Tambawal instead. It won't be surprising for PDP to take their own pound of flesh by voting against the official APC nominee.
While nobody has been elected Speaker of the Federal House of Respresentative, I congratulate Hon Femi Gbajabiamila on his emergence as Speaker of Federal House of All Progressive Congress.
God Bless Us All I wonder the type of legacy you're leaving behind! Smh for you! |

Pavore9: There are Nigerians here who are into yahoo, yahoo and most of them prefer moving around town in taxis as against entering buses because of fear that they may encounter a security agent in the bus. When they hammer, most of them pack out of their apartment and move to another part of town as rent is paid monthly. As in ehn, in my estate here, the silly security made one stupid statement one day ehn. She was like "you Nigerians don't work but you're rich". I began to wonder, how can I explain to this fat lady I'm not among those that pluck money illegally online..... Nigerians are really going crazy here. Almost all of them that lives in this estate are into illegal stuff.... Anyways, glad to see someone like you doing legal stuff and proud of been a Nigerian ~ Sheyi |
