Especially the Lagos-London-North America route. My mother flies to NY regularly via London, on BA or Virgin, and never needs a UK visa, transit or otherwise.

German embassy never asks for flight reservation....

I registered a company name on january this year and i sale car parts and have electronics shop. what do i do, i am self employed. what do i do regarding this coz they might reject my application if its not complete. must everyone be working for someone?

Nop. You simply write an intro letter from you to the embassy.
Instead of ur employer let em know you r self employed.

As per insurance, use www.insurvisa.com fill the form (register) and you will
see the price of insurance. Once its done, copy their address and make payment then
get your insurance almost immediately (10mins).

As per hotel reservation, since you are going for business in Germany, that means you've got
money to sponsor yourself. The company will send you an IV but it is better to get a paid hotel
reservation at that city you will be visiting.

The thing is check for cheap hotels there, if you are spending like 2 weeks in Germany, you can pay for the
first week (trf money to hotel) and they will send you receipt of payment and confirmed reservation.

Do not forget to include the issue of tAX in your SOP (statement of purpose). Explain yourself more in that letter
address it to the consular.

As per China visa, depends on when you want to visit Germany, if its from China to German or vice versa, then apply for
the visa here and state that as well on the letter.

Moreso, if its a short course, she should be sponsored
by her employer... if she's self employed then the course
must mean a big deal to her biz....

700k is kinda small, calculate flight and living expenses
and see the rest....

Anthonymighty: How true is this site. Have you seen anyone that went to germany through this site successfully? Because I read on google about some interns calling it a scam. Moreso, registering for their conference, is it a guarantee you will get the visa? Tell me after they get the invitation letter to you. What and what again do you have to submit with the invitation to the german embassy? I await your response.

The last time I used this (for a client from nairaland)
they sure recognize them at the German embassy then (2yrs ago)
So I'm pretty sure they are still a force to reckon with now.

BTW, what's your present status? I'll like to give you (and others) some
advice about German visa (and even schengen visa).

The thing is if you're not up to 35 or married, its hard to get visa these days.

Make sure you're extremely convinced on your docus before submitting them.
