I've been saying it here since....the civilian casualties is what is holding Russia back and they're giving them time to leave the area

In my earlier post I explained how Russia is trying to control the land area from the North(Cherniv and Kharkiv) to Kherson and Zaporizhzhia and adding this land area to Donetsk and Lugansk just to create a land buffer between them whatever Nato and the rest of Ukraine plans to do next in the future. That is security guarantee if you study the map very well and the will also cut Ukraine off the Azov sea to protect that water body from future Nato fleet incase Nato adamantly admit what's left of Ukraine

It's land and Sea security guarantees. That is the reason why they must take Mauripol to completely deny Ukraine from the sea

Check Berdyansk (a port city in Zaporizhzhia) on Wikipedia you will see: Occupied; Russia

And Mariupol in donesk is also under siege
