What part of bucknor is this? |
wandeay:You don't need a transit Visa since you are not leaving the airport. I flew Turkish airlines to Dubai last year and I regretted it. The layover hours from connecting between Istanbul to Dubai is usually very long and you'll be worn out by the time you arrive. Generally, I love Turkish airlines but I don't think taking them to Dubai is your best bet. |

Good evening sweet mummies. Hope everyone is fine? I am concerned about my son. He is 2 years and 2 months old. He started school at 1 year 4 months and by the time he was 1 year 6 months, he could make full sentences like mummy I'm hungry, I want ***, in short, he could communicate very well. When he was 1 year and 8 months, we traveled and he mixed with his cousins who speak British accent. All of a sudden, I couldn't hear him again. His words sounded like he was blabbing. I told someone who said he was trying to pick the accent and he would "reset" when we get to Nigeria. He did pick up and we could hear him well in about 2 weeks. Now, he is 2 years and 2 months and I think this thing is back. We haven't traveled, though he has always imitated the accents he hears in his cartoon. I can hardly hear him now. He can still identify colors and shapes and all other things he knows, but stringing words together sounds like he is blabbing. I don't know if it is the cartoon accent he is imitating. I am really worried. Has anyone experienced this before? Ma'am Zaynie please help with your wealth of experience. |
Iyatrustee , Yes, you are to allot portions. Put each child's budget in their individual forms. Your own form should carry the total budget for the trip. |
It would end in tears sis. |
As much as you want to sugarcoat things, you are cheating! Things doesn't necessarily have to get to s*x before it is considered as cheating. The fact that you flirt, use endearing names still qualifies as cheating. I understand that you are probably bored because you don't see your wife as being innovative but staying out drinking till 1 am is just irresponsible. There are so many cracks in this marriage. Your wife too shares part of the blame. A woman should know how to keep the fire burning but how do you even do that with a man who is never home? Not many women would be the breadwinner for years and if she is doing that, the least you can do is to be appreciative. You both need therapy and while you are at it, please get something doing. You will earn back your respect that way. |
The exponential growth is alarming. We are heading towards the peak. The myopic people calling COVID-19 an audio virus are the reason for this spread. The government has done it's bit, ordered a lockdown but no, people won't stay at home or observe social distancing. In the UK when the lockdown was announced, the trains in London were being filled to the brim, commuters defying the stay at home order. They have over 114,000 cases now. In the US, there are over 739,000 cases with New York having almost 300,000 cases. Lagos is more populated than New York. What does that tell us? We recorded our first case in Nigeria just one month after them. The real audio here is that we currently have way more than the 542 cases that have been confirmed because the tests are not performed at the way that they should. Every comment about the virus being a hoax should be deleted by the spam bot. If learned people who have access to the internet can be talking about it being a hoax despite seeing people die, I wonder what is going on in villages. Nigeria doesn't have enough healthcare facilities to take care of the sick. The government has failed us already, let's stop failing ourselves. Stay safe everyone. |
Hello Abikun. Can you kindly send the set up quotation |
I cried reading this! You've gone through so much at your age. It is well with you. I pray for better days ahead for you. Amen |
He sounds fine. Children grow at their own pace. I think socializing helps too. My son started preschool at 16 months and he now makes full sentences at 22 months. You should also download nursery rhymes on your phone for him. He would start singing along with time. Don't rush him please. |
Phew! Nice thread. Not everytime COVID-19 ![]() |
Why did it take them so long to order clinical trials ![]() |
You are calling for social distancing but attending meetings that could have been held over Skype. Social distancing indeed. I don't think Nigerians are ready for what is coming! In about 1 or 2 weeks, the real numbers would surface. Stay at home! Is that so hard to do? |
This is scabies. Go see your doctor please and avoid using antibiotics without prescription ![]() |
Well, most airlines have been enforcing the yellow card rule. Every traveller out of Nigeria is required to have the new yellow card if not, they won't be allowed to board. It is not about the UK alone. omicron: |
Lol. I wonder why you are obliging this person. She's obviously a troll. gypsey: |
Of course. As long as everyone has been served and there is food left, they would gladly offer you more food. Dave233: |
Yes I can reapply from there. The real question is if I'm allowed to apply from a country I don't live in. I'm not sure if I'll be allowed. Any ideas? oluayebenz: |
She handed me the yellow slip that stated l was denied because of my ties. Circa: |
Visa Transcript Interview time 6.45 am. There were 3 VO's in windows 1, 4 and 6. VO: Good morning ma'am ME: Good morning ma'am VO: Where are you going in the US ME: New Jersey VO: How long ME: 10 days VO: Purpose of traveling ME: To shop for my business in Nigeria. I sell Fashion items which I get from the UK, Turkey and Dubai and I travel every 6-8 weeks VO: I see you didn't use your previous US Visa. Why is that? ME: I got pregnant shortly after and I stayed back to birth and nurture my baby. (This was the real reason. I didn't do any traveling at all within the 2 years I had my visa) VO:Are you married ME: No but I'm engaged and have a son VO: Do you have any other income? ME: No VO: sorry you do not qualify at this time. I actually make about 2-3m monthly but I pay myself 350,000 as salary which is what I put in the application. Maybe I shouldn't have put 350k in the form I just came back from the UK last night. Didn't even have enough sleep before rushing out for the interview. I planned to travel to the UK next and travel to the US from there to shop for my business. Can I reapply from the UK? |
Does anyone have a neat baby stroller for sale? I'm in Lagos. |
That's the thing. It is usually hard to find the same date and time for all members of the family. At least one person still has to pay. On TLS website, it is written that every member should pay. Candybright: |
Yes, Flexi appointment is 42k. FameG: |
Hello all. Received our passports today. Visa granted for my son and I. Even though I didn't get response to my questions earlier, I'll like to give this information to help any family applying together. You all don't have to pay for flexi. I booked a normal appointment for myself and booked flexi for my son. That enabled him do walk in appointment and our applications were consolidated at the VAC. So I spent 42k instead of 84k it would have cost both of us. |
Talk about it, apologize and move on! |

I had to look deep and I discovered its the cartoons. Since this Corona palava struck, he has spent almost all his time on cartoon either from the TV or from his Tab. So it really taking a toll on his communication skill coupled with the fact there are no kid his age around. He's 2 years, 9 months But he good thing is he's picking up new words and the is getting better by the day. So I don't think it's worth worrying about.
