My mum is Efik and my dad is oron. I've been saying that for donkey years on this forum even on that same thread.

And I keep saying Akwa/Cross. (Akwa-Ibom/CrossRiver) many families from both states feel same way about this biafra thing. Besides, We're basically one people just like Igbos and yorubas, just that we do not have an umbrella identity because we all too proud to be called a common name so we all go by our different identities: Efik, Ibibio, Oron, annang, Etung, Olulumo, Ofutop, Abanajum, Nseke, etc. But we are basically in the same family, our customs, food, and languages almost the same, in fact the eat the same food and most of us understand the efik language.
