As an Akwa-Ibomite when I say Akpabio was/is highly overrated people come for my neck. The only areas Akpabio touched were Uyo and Ikot Ekpene where he comes from. Over 65% of Akwa-Ibom land mass are still mainly bushes. Other parts are still very much the same. BUT he's been our best Governor so far sha (that's to show the crappy standard of leadership we have in the SS) because at least he sha built some world class structures in Uyo. He sha did something and he sha had the decency to give something back in exchange for the indecent wealth he amassed for himself during his eight years. Yes Akpabio is so rich he can can buy a good portion of Nigeria and still have enough to feed all his generations. 10 Likes |

Nigerians are just a crazy and lazy set of people. The way people rush to see state of origin for appointments you'd think they're checking for their names there. Important projects that touch the lives of ordinary Nigerians like Lagos-Calabar rail project are not given this much scrutiny. What the Bleep is wrong with us really? 2 Likes |

Meriekriss: Buhari did not make any remarks to "awaken" anything. These bastards are sponsored by ND elites whom Buhari wants to retrieve loots from. What's the crime in that please? We all saw how those bloody SS governors made demands for Buhari to drop charges against their people for the bombing to stop. Oh I forgot! You hate for anything good to come out from this administration right? Issorite. I'm scared for the life of the number 1 and 2 men in the country though but I know that Baba God has a divine plan for us. God dey. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

If I got the information correctly, the bulk of the funds for the clean-up is not meant to come from FG but from the polluters. FG has just flagged off the program, definitely perhaps when Buhari is back or when work implementation of the budget really kicks off, FG will source for their own part of the funds. So why the hullabaloo from Shell? Why the hurry? Something is def wrong somewhere. 3 Likes |

Seems like the West, Britain actually is really angry with Buhari. I am yet to figure out exactly why though. Could it be because of Buhari's determination to recover loots from them? Because ever since Buhari announced his visit to the UK to recover looted funds, UK has just been giving Baba bad eye up and down. America started beefing Buhari after he turned down IMF offer. If I got the information correctly, the bulk of the funds for the clean-up is not meant to come from FG but from the polluters. FG just flagged off the program last week, definitely perhaps when Buhari is back or when work implementation of the budget really kicks off, FG will source for their own part of the funds. Then again we all know how Buhari likes to take his time while doing sensitive things involving serious cash so why the hullabaloo from Shell? Why the hurry? Something is def wrong somewhere. Hmmm. bengems: Really? Stupid invention when you have not yet tried it? But if they don't do anything for you now you will be the first to shout Daura President. Politicians families abroad don't need it. The program is designed for people like you who do not have parents, uncles or other family members in government that you can benefit directly from but yet keep shouting "marginalization" when hey don't appoint your kinsman in power. This program affects YOU directly and not appointments and resource control or whatever greedy elites use to deceive common men into fighting for their interests. I'd apply if I were you so you can have something to distract you from the hate eating up inside you. 39 Likes 3 Shares |

tsdarkside: I don't know why people don't look deeper. They just look at the surface and make up their minds. Mehn our internal issues are much much more worse that what's at play at the front. Look at Akwa-Ibom state, up till today at this present day and age, children as young as 3 years old are still being tutored or abandoned to death forcing them into confessing they are witches/wizards. Shocking thing is this barbaric acts are being done by their own parents under the instruction from Pastors! Imagine! So how will a new country help us there now? Just imagine our ND governors, senators and reps, especially the ones from Bayelsa and Delta. So useless you won't be able to count up to 5 projects by the end of 8 years term! Haba! 3 Likes |

It's not abokis that killed them so it's no big deal (according to Southern hypocrites) For those quoting me, let's be sincere with ourselves, you will forget this incident immediately you log off NL today. But we all know that we don't forget at all when it's a Northerner involved. Instead we shout "divide" as if we don't have our own numerous and countless stories of barbaric deaths down South. The torturing and abandoning to death of children in Akwa-Ibom in the name of witchcraft is a VERY good example. 61 Likes 6 Shares |

We do no have enough information as to whether this was a religious fight or not so let's not jump to conclude yet. And for those shouting break up whenever this happens, know that it doesn't solve any of our internal issues which are worse. As an ND girl I can authoritatively tell you that we are NOT united. Is it the Ishekiris and the Ijaws that will live peacefully together Let's look at my state, there's a serious supremacy battle between the Ibibios, annangs and the Oron people. The Efiks being the most powerful people in Cross River does not go down well with the other over 20 ethnic groups there. So how will an Akwa/Cross country look like? undecided As for middlebelt, do we need to remind ourselves of the numerous community fights going on there? What about the Christians and other minority tribes in the core North? How will they cope with the overbearing majority of the Hausa/Fulani Muslim community? DaniDani: Let me tell your likes something; NO SINGLE region in this country is united. So breaking up Nigeria will NOT in any way whatsoever solve the basic problems we have which is corruption and ethnic hatred. Is it the Ishekiris and the Ijaws that will live peacefully in one country? Even in my state, Ibibios, annangs, and Oron don't like each other. Anambrians hardly marry outside their LGAs sef. What of the Osu culture in the east, how will it be manged in Biafra? The middlebeltans are also NOT united as they have countless community fights every now and then. The core North nko? How will the Christians fare there? Then the most of all, is this. Is it not the same selfish, greedy, leaders that will still lead our separate countries? So get ready to get at least 200 tiny countries. And before you rush to accept that, kindly study about the many challenges small countries go through. IT'S NOT EASY AT ALL. So be careful what you wish for. 1 Like |
