samsat: VISA ALERT!!! To God be the glory!!! Already lost hope.
VI TLS Application = 24th December Biometrics = 4th January Move to DMC = 4th of January No NSF 1 paid mail and 1 follow up I was told decision was not made on Day 13 (21st of January), that one weak me oooo Then I followed up on Day 15 (25th of January), they said it will be escalated I should wait for another 15 working days - this info just broke the camels back... At that point it was as if "whatever happens now just take it" but it was very hurtful...
All of a sudden this morning, I did not even check early. I sluggishly checked around 10.30am.
Application transferred to VAC = 27th January I did not wait I just went there, they asked me to wait that they have not received a mail.
At 1.30pm, Application received by VAC = 27th January
Collection mail at the same time.
Thank you all.
And a particular thanks to @sweetoma she gave me hope when I felt all was lost.
Good luck to everyone waiting... It will end well... Congrats!!!!!! You are so welcome |

samsat: Imagine school resumed since January 10th and deadline for arrival is 28th January.
This is serious ooo... Jan 4th Biometric, VI TLS. Sent a paid mail and got this terrible response below;
"Thank you for your query from the information you have provided, we have escalated your case to the relevant department on 25-01-2022 and you should be contacted within 15 working days. Please wait until the 15 working days have passed before contacting the service again as we are unable to do anything further before this time.
We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents." Calm down it’s not a terrible response. 15 working days has elapsed on your application and your visa is not yet ready. Escalation simply means that have speeded up or referred it to a higher office. I believe this means they will try to address it soon and they are asking you not to contact them again because there’s nothing more they can do to speed it up asides from what they currently done |

I suspect it could be because of the difference in currency No the currency doesn’t matter, just try another card. I used my GTB card to pay |

Coolcube: Thanks. You just clarified my doubts. Please this is incorrect, I am entering Bournemouth for 2021 Jan. You have to pay the 50% tuition before enrollment on the 31st, that is before you start school. The school is mean and strict. |

LuchiBianca: Not in Bournemouth but nope. You spread the rest and pay in monthly instalments. Yes you have to pay the first 50% before enrollment. And the second 50% in April for Bournemouth |

BolaT53: What they usually do is to send the person a mail and copy the bank also in the mail, Then the bank responds without to the embassy without copying the person in the mail Okay I see, we’ll wonder why they didn’t do same in his case. I wish the applicant in question would shed more light on his situation. Meanwhile is sent you a mail/PM kindly respond |

cutelekush01: They said they couldn’t get response from the bank I guess. But wait normally if they can’t reach your bank aren’t they supposed to send you NSF to ask you to reach out to your bank to respond to them. I believe I’ve seen various ppl say something like that happened to them. It would be very unfair that because of a lack of response from his bank this guy has now lost his visa |

AdebolaNG: I don’t understand what going on with UKVI ooo
After my administrative review was successful I was asked to submit my passport and TB test but bcuz my university don’t have January or may intake they asked me to make a fresh visa application. It almost 3month now and I haven’t received my passport back, I have done paid mail 3times same story of waiting 15 working days before I send another one.
I’m getting frustrated cuz I have other things I need to do with my passport.
I don’t even know if I should declare it lost and get another one.
Please I need una advise oooo Na wa o, I don’t have any experience with this so I can’t really advice you, but if you don’t mind my asking what was the reason for refusal. And after successful AR do you have to pay for your visa application fees again or will they refund you ? |

OluAjo: Hello Everyone,
This will be quite a long read. Collection Mail: 13th January, 2022. Visa Granted!
I applied for student visa August 2020 but it was refused because my CAS was cancelled by the University. I called the University to tell them I couldn't meet the resumption date since I had not gotten my Visa and I was informed I'd be deferred to January 2021.
I called the UKVI to inform them that my CAS had been cancelled and the lady on the phone asked if I wanted to withdraw my application. I told the lady that the withdrawal will take a while before I get my passport back but I'm okay with a refusal so I can get my passport back immediately.
Two days later, I was refused but I wasn't bothered so I reapplied with priority in November 2020 so as to avoid the long processing time.
I was scheduled for a phone interview on the 5th day and I answered all the questions but I was refused.
The reasons given were blatant lies saying I didn't know much my fees was and didn't know what my sponsor did for a living.
I applied for AR and it was refused, did PAP - the refusal was upheld.
I proceeded to Judicial Review then the lies were upgraded to "the applicant states NEVER to return back to Nigeria." The Judge asked the recording of my phone interview be presented the following week.
By the following week, the transcript of the phone interview shown I clearly stated how much my fees was and what my sponsor did for a living. No where was it stated that I'd never come back to Nigeria. Instead I said it was my plan to return back to Nigeria to open a Consultancy firm.
The representative for the Home Office reached out to the Barrister representing me and myself asking to settle outside court. The Barrister asked if I was okay with a settlement, I said Yes but wanted them to pay all the cost I incurred during the JR process and a new decision to be made.
It was agreed and signed.
July 2021, a new CAS was requested for September 2021. I was asked to provide it within a week.
The University took a while to reply, before they provided a new CAS I was refused again. I WAS LIVID. I sent the Home Office an email telling them I'd follow it up to JR and this time THERE WOULD BE NO SETTLEMENT OUTSIDE COURT.
I applied for AR and it took 3 months before it was successful. I got several emails of apologies and passport was requested for November 10.
I submitted my passport 10th November, 2021. Collection email: 13th January, 2022.
This journey started August, 2020. Wow!!! I must say I love your spirit and tenacity, I’ve been following your posts and I saw you worrying about missing resumption. I am so glad things worked out for you. Your story is really inspirational. I can’t imagine the cost implications and the emotional stress you had to be under. God bless you and may your stay in the UK be fruitful |
