My sister, don't take this as an expert opinion. If it is not inheritance, stocks, TB, Forex, real estate, office work, entrepreneur or hand work... Then it most likely will be gambling, crypto, money laundering, pool, option trading, HYIP, yahoo, and the likes. Hope u r not looking for where to loose the money u r making. |

Agbalowomeri: The major problem is that people don't clarify their primary objective for investing, once you've solved that riddle then it's simple Are you investing for dividend and cashflow? Is it for capital appreciation? Is it for your generation unborn? Lol
For me it is at least 100% capital appreciation So I can't be jumping upandan stocks and I can't diversify Lol And I have to be in the market sparingly
You are smarter than the wolf of wall Street. You are treating NSE like Ponzi. Your type IMO are the main people hitting it big in NSE. Just say na for senior men wey dey see well for night... |

Chibuking81:
We should be asking of highest bonanza offering stocks, at this junction almost all the stocks are already in their fair price. Any amount one invested now on good stocks he or she will never regret it on or before final year result, emerging the twin brothers (F&F) selling at #1.40 and 1.46 respectively just this week, ( after giving a lot heavy hair cut to their passengers) they even begged buyers to buy at that spot. Zenith @ #15.95, GTB @ #25.80, UBA, ACCESS not left behind, like of Caverton, Cutix, Afriprudent, etc If care is not taken worse prices may emerge by September into October. Anyway I thank God for the relief. |

Northeastern: I can see that in your quest to build credibility here, like you were advised to, you have resorted to bringing conversations that are most relevant on the forex thread here with the haughty assumption that folks here are not conversant with them. When did the Fed fund's rate become the global benchmark for international transaction? Have you heard of LIBOR before?
Why would a mere 25 bp cut in the fed funds rates have a domino effect on the rates of other countries? Are you aware that there was an inverted yield curve in the US in Q1 of this year? Didn't you see the forecast for today at 2.25%? In fact, the rate was at 1.50% at the beginning of last year, so ain't nothing surprising in the cut. Go and look at the performance of the dollar against other pairs, the average loss is about 100 pips, so there is nothing special here oga.
When the US started raising rates in 2016, the BoJ moved rates to negative territory and it is still there. The BOE decreased its rate in 2017, leveled it up in 2018, and went 25bps up in 2019, look at the last MPC vote, all nine members voted for a hold, so no rate cut is coming from Carny and his gangs. Go look at what Draghi and his own gang did, what about the SNB? So, there is no established correlation between the movement in rates of the major economies.
We have seen the Bernanke QE era, the Draghi "do whatever it takes" regime, the conservative Carney move from the BOC to the BOE, and the crazy Abenomics, so don't come and blow the effects of a mere 25bps out of proportion in the false hope that you're enlightening some novices here.
The tall and short of this my rambling is that you are trying too hard to impress in the hopes of catching a big fish. As usual, you can continue living in self-denial and heed to the advice of those that are leading you astray. There is nothing that you need to know that I have not laid out here. Northeastern... I no know say u Sabi like this o. But u bad sha. #bubbleburster |

Agbalowomeri: My brother have you held any single stock for up to 15-20 years in this NSE? No matter how good your stock is, once index enter reverse gear (i.e. if you understand when it does), my brother run, run, run When it rains, it pours So true. I have never profited from any stock I held more than 2 years. I mean never. Maybe it is because I don't like maintaining bad debts or I was still learning from my stockbroker. |

Mcy56: It's showing 0%, that's why I asked. Meristem's charges is on the high side. Reason I said a beginner needs to check his/her purse well well before going for them. Morgan charges 0.825% for purchases and 1.125% for sales - total commission per transaction.....maybe plus newly added vat now. Very true, commission is almost twice what Morgan charges. After 5 failed Jijo, almost 15-20% can be lost to commission alone. The CSCS fee is not charged but the SEC fee is charged. Although, this is a doc of 3months ago not sure what has changed until I activate another transaction next month or chat them up. |
