Politics › Re: Bill Seeking To Recognise Males As Rape Victims Passed By Senate by swtdrms(m): 2:39pm On Jul 14, 2020 |
In as much as this is commendable, has the Senate prescribed adequate punishment for rapist? Have they put in place processes to ensure rapist do not get away with the offence.
Being victim isn't the pertinent issue here, but the punishment to deter the would be rapist.
Besides, horrible rape activity are perpetuated by the male gender. Whereas when ever a "female rape a male" isn't always as horrible as rape committed by the male gender, either against a fellow male or female. |
Politics › Re: MAKINDE'S GOVERNING BOARD APPOINTMENT IS CHRISTIAN DOMINATED by swtdrms(m): 11:32am On Jul 13, 2020 |
I really don't understand why Nigerians always choose to be hypocritical on every issue. Why are we always like this? Why and why?
I can remember vividly in the last tenure, someone created a thread here on nairaland claiming 4 out of the six SW governors are muslims before we all got it right that it was 3/3.
How is that different from MURIC observation and call for balanced appointment? But people here choose to abuse and insult his call. What is wrong in that call?
So it is right and no one must complain if a part feel marginalised isn't it?
Am really fed up being Nigerian. A country of Hypocrites, liars, Nepotist and egocentric people.
How do you expect progress and development when what you'll are interested in is exert your strength on people and it must be seen as being correct. |

Though no one dares play with me with that animal, I hate it very much and I even hate people calling its name around me, thats why I do not like lalasticla.la posts,it must contain **the animal (sorry, I can't type the name out,I'm that scary of it) Even this post, I had to close my eyes to make sure to make sure I read only the words and not see the picture attached Haha...is that how scared you're when it comes to snakes and python? You really need to develop some liver and boldness, don't worry I'll help you with that |

You're very correct and i agree with you totally.
Now i understand the main reason why relationships and marriages do not last and the very reason why there'll continue to be unhealthy marriages and relationships.
Both males and females, we do not figure out what our visions are, and seek people with same vision or people who'll help you achieve that vision. I've been there, multiple break ups and in all, i discovered that's the issue. Everyone working in opposite direction so with time, everything will definitely crumble. |

awesomely: To say that Nigerians are observing physical distancing, is like saying Arsenal will qualify for champions league.
I think most Nigerians are asymptomatic, it's the testing capacity that makes it look okay. Our immune system is quite better as an ajepako Nigerian compared with our ajebutter cousins in Europe.
Maybe because a lot of Nigerians are used to hard life from suffering and smiling. Most people have been infected, and have recovered without even knowing.
Those people with underlying illnesses or weak immune system are feeling the brunt of the disobedience to laid down protocols. As ur name suggests, you're awesomely intelligent. Please keep on teaching the fools we have in our midst who thinks covid-19 is a hoax, give them your analysis so that they can be geared towards taking the right measures |

Aboki99: This is serious! But my trouble with Nigeria is data unreliability. As far as covid 19 is concerned, Nig copies and pastes from other countries. No decisions of their own. Data unreliability abi? I think you have better data abi. If you're educated enough you'll know that the most sensible thing to do is to work with available data. Besides, common sense should tell you that's definitely how the trend will be. Younger people will definitely be responsible for the spreading while the elderly die from it |

babamadiba: I hope they won't say it's covid-19 again since people are not allowed to die a natural death in peace again. If not covid-19, then tell me in which other months have we had it this bad. Give me a particular year and month outside covid-19 era where state governments will be declaring that mortuaries are filled up And this one will also be claiming graduate, lot of educated ignorants and fools. I'm not disputing the fact that your government officials are full of thieves, rogues and liars, if you can't believe what comes from your government, why not take an intelligent analysis of issues around the world to make an educated conclusion. berbs: That quote pisses me off these days. It's a sign of irresponsibility. Very annoying. "God will help us". As if God will come down from heaven or he didn't give us brain to think. The societies who do not leave everything to God are all prospering while we are here giving all the work to God to do are here wallowing in misfortune and misery. What else can i say? "May God help us" |

ModestGal: Hmmn I already know that non of these countries would think twice before banning Nigeria. But in our own case we didn't and allowed them bring the virus here. Be waiting for when cases start reducing in America and other countries and how they would all banned us Even if there wasn't any serious ban, Nigeria would definitely be banned. No one understands Nigeria, not even the administrators in Nigeria understand the clear situation if things. So the correct things to do is to ban Nigeria. We run a system of mediocrity, carelessness and indifference. We don't have internal working mechamism, everything we do is "May God help us". Common interstate lockdown we couldn't implement. Our gov't don't have a hold and control over its own Police force. So what do you expect. |

ModestGal: Even if it is just one person that gain from this, then I have indeed make an impact, well, I believe the way out is first to liberate ourselves from poverty, and later tell our stories. One reason I want to be a millionaire/billionaire is because I want to show people that it is possible without just sitting down and wishfully wishing. When we continue to raise our voices and awareness on this type of topics and personally work towards becoming great, I believe we would be able to pass our message across to more people who would believe in it and work by it, and with this, we would grow as people and as a Nation I'm saying this because I do not see this Nation growing through our leaders, or through politicians, I'm not seeing how they are ready to lift us up, but I believe in the power of individual strength, zeal to conquer, once we do this, we would have enough power to challenge the government and make things right for us I like your spirit, keep it up. I was in your shoes but got tired. Then i told myself to just focus on fixing myself first. Then I'll think of what next later. But sincerely i don't think I'm really ready to waste my time with these set of people who are bent on living in poverty all their lives. The few i found to be reasonable and serious i guide and put them through |

Op you are very correct, unfortunately you are directing your write up to the wrong audience.
They'll not make any sense out of it. These audience do not believe you can "blow" if there's no any attachment to the "spiritual" realm. The more reason ritual activities will never cease to exist.
What's the way out? I don't know. |

chiddyok: Dear woman, you will never be submissive enough for a man you earn more than. You will either resent his headship on empty pocket or he will resent you and make life hell for you. Even if you submit your salary on both knees he will wonder why you got paid on time if you aren’t sleeping with your boss. To avoid stories that touch, until the day men can carry pregnancy, please let them till the ground and be the head. If you want to go far, marry a man who wants to go further. If you want to earn millions, look for a man who wants to earn double. Don’t let them fool you, there’s nothing like a submissive husband. Perfect words of wisdom |
