Please, what can I do to help my 5 year old to stop stammering?

I live in Lagos and I seem unable to find a speech therapist around.

I am getting so frustrated.

wow, what a child, do not slap the child as proffered by the first two commenters, show him/her support, correct the child by telling him to repeat the words he stuttered on, as he grow older he will conquer it. I was a chronic stammering, attimes I even hit my head on the wall when I was 8, if I see someone intimidating a stammerer infact I don buy d case ooo, just take it easy on the child please.

NB: This is not a defence of the government, but an explanation if you will of why we should stop being a monoeconomy.

And with that...here is why the $81 oil price won't improve Nigeria's economy

1.We need oil to be at $140 per barrel to be able to have a balanced budget. $81 does not even reach that threshold.

2.Because oil has been below the $140 threshold since the government took over....we will still need to takeloans, and we will continue to take loans until oil reaches the breakeven point of $140...and even after that, we will still be paying back loans.

3.That is how we have been operating since long before 1999. No matter how high or low oil is, we always would keep on taking loan after loan UNTIL we reach the breakeven price...and even then....

4.Even during the last oil boom of 2011-14, because oil was not at the breakeven for those years....we still took loans.

5.The only way forward is simple. We have to

a) End subsides, so that we can save more money and encourage investment...which means more jobs. Yes, fuel will goup....but more investors ,local and foreign will come in, and jobs will be saved.

b)Take strategic loans for power and transport alone...so that we can improve things.

c) End price controls in the power sector. DISCOS cannot make much money on power bills of N2000 a month for metered houses. That way,more money and investment flows into the power sector.

d) Cliche...but we must really 'pight kwarrupshion'.

End subsidy for what? so that politicians will divert more money into their personal pocket. Tell me one thing, just one thing the common man is benefiting from Nigeria. let them start by slashing their salaries.

A friend of mine has issues with her WAEC, date of birth on her WAEC certificate was wrong, 23 instead of 13, but have NABTEB O level, do schools accept NABTEB certificate in lieu of WAEC /NECO? or if she go ahead with her WAEC id it be accepted? She is going for MSc, gathering her documents for summer application. please men when sabi, your counsels are needed.

If you no go school no be problem but trying to insult people who have invested time money and extreme effort in our hard educational system to take up driving trucks as a job is highly insane... Let alone a PhD holder... Do you know what it takes to hold such a degree..about the professor driving cab bring the fact around and let settle that cos I won't believe that shit...professors in Nigeria that are seen as a mini god will drive cab for you in Canada.. Why would a PhD holder take up commercial driving as a job in an organized country... Or a degree holder... Studying for years and settling just to be a driver... Brother education in this country isn't Attractive..no justification to any excuse you might want to craft out for this.. If the country is so sane you won't think towards that angle of livelihood if you got a degree..

When Dangote PLC advertised on truck drivers, how many PhD holder do you think applied? and haven't you heard about a professor( immigrant) driving a cab in Canada, just try and make google your friend. anything you do just plan well with it, invest wisely either with/ without certificate .

very possible on a good day like tricycles in Onitsha can make that in a day, especially those in main market axis, but average of 8 to 12 k is very sure everyday, graduates should think outside their certificates, anyone who has that mentality that school is everything would be doomed for life.

It very sadden... This issue has made many young men look away from education and venture into things that can not be relied upon in the long run... How long can your strength carry you while you labour out your energy on daily basis... We need to encourage our community about the significance of education In our environment and let the government make education worth the effort... What the essence of going to the University or poly only to graduate and someone who hasn't even learnt a trade will still compare himself or herself to you... It highly regrettable...

Transportation biz is not only for uneducated ones, I have seen a Phd holder and Msc holder driving taxi, education is overrated in Nigeria.
