To the Lion of the East, my friend and brother Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, I have the following to say. They attacked your home and raided your community with their soldiers.

They sought to crush your body, spirit and soul, to break you and to kill the gallant and fighting spirit of your people.

They forgot that the application and unleashing of fire cannot put out fire: it only adds to the rage of the inferno and causes it to spread and develop into a massive and uncontrollable conflagration which will ultimately consumme the entire nation.

Despite the provocation and the brazen attempt to intimidate you and yours I urge you to be encouraged, to remain true to your noble convictions, to stand firm, to stay strong, to remain peaceful and to continue to reject the idea of an armed struggle knowing that you represent the hope and aspiration of millions.

This is all the more so because the entire world is watching. Our victory will not come by the levying war, the shedding of blood or by the usage and espousal of violence and armed conflict but rather through the painful veil and fiery furnace of suffering, passive resistance, self-denial, dedication, persecution and sacrifice.

Those that seek to oppress and subjugate the righteous, that seek to enslave their fellow human beings in perpetuity, that seek to destroy, torment and humiliate others, that seek to deny the sons and daughters of our land the right to fully exercise their God-given liberty and freedom and that rule by the force of tyranny, injustice and the shedding of blood never end well and shall not prevail.

In truth there is no greater crime than to unleash a nation's Armed Forces against its own people in an attempt to stamp out free speech, silence opposing voices and eliminate dissent.

It happened to the Shiite Muslims of Zaria where one thousand innocent souls were butchered in one afternoon at the behest of military commanders simply for being different and now it is happening to the good people of the east.

Yet the light of truth and the struggle for liberation, justice and equity can never be diminished or defeated. In the end the will of the people and the counsel and purpose of God shall stand.

No matter the price and no matter how long it takes, in the end we shall prevail. The Lord be with you.

PoliticsIkpeazu Vs Uche Oga: The Hallucinations Of A Failed Journalist By Adimchi (SSA) by Sylverly(op): 3:31pm On Sep 11, 2017
EBERE UZOUKWA: THE HALLUCINATIONS OF A FAILED JOURNALIST.

-Adimchi Abraham Onyenso

My attention was drawn to an article written by a failed Punch Newspaper reporter and self styled Media Consultant to Abia State Government, Ebere Uzoukwa, titled "Why Crying Over Ikpeazu And His Failures”.

Without mincing words, in those days that journalism was practiced and regulated by noble characters, the contents of that article would have been enough to sack Mr. Uzoukwa who admitted to investing his "resources and time as well as activated our contacts and deploring our professionalism to ensure his victory at the polls and later in the courts."

A journalist is ordinarily expected to pursue his trade with absolute neutrality and report issues factually rather than engage in "deploring" professionalism in pursuit of narrow ill defined clannish agenda.

How will the management of Punch Newspapers and NUJ respond to Ebere's self admission of professional misconduct?

Looking at the article, as published by an online medium known for its opposition to the Ikpeazu administration, it will be apparent that Mr. Uzoukwa was merely lamenting the loss or denial of ill defined personal and group privileges he expected that will come with his so called efforts at supporting the emergence of the first Ukwa/Ngwa born Governor of Abia State.

That shows that his lamentations do not have anything to do with the interest of Abians or the Governor's non performance in office as the Governor of the whole of Abia State.

It also highlighted the wrong headed expectations of certain elements in Ukwa/Ngwa political axis that recently made the governor to emphasize the fact that he is the Governor of all Abians.

Speaking at a town-hall meeting in Obehie in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, on the plans of his administration to develop the state, Governor Ikpeazu said:

“My dear brothers and sisters from Ukwa/Ngwa, it is true that I am one of you, it is also true that we’ve not been governor until now, but I am the Governor of Abia State, and not just the Governor of Ukwa/Ngwa people.

“So when I want to take decisions about our state, I will think of Abia as a state and not Abia South or Ukwa/Ngwa. This is one truth that I must tell you.

I know where I come from, and our brothers and sisters from Old Bende know that I come from somewhere. We must be fair to every Abian and visitors in our land."

Apparently the import of that statement was lost on journalist Uzoukwa and others like him who expected the Governor to become the champion of their narrow selfish agenda aimed at instituting a culture of "our Governor" as against the Governor of Abia State. He clearly wanted a Governor Ikpeazu who is an Ukwa/Ngwa Governor as against the Governor of Abia State.

Whatever Uzoukwa and his likes wanted from Governor Ikpeazu certainly did not include development projects located across the state, which the Governor has been delivering. After all, the same Uzoukwa is on record as confirming in an article titled "As Court Verdict Fails to Distract Ikpeazu" that the Governor was development minded and his opponents couldn't distract him from the many projects he has executed to develop the whole of Abia State.

Portions of that article published on the 18th of January 2016 read as follows:

"Governor Ikpeazu's recent activities and official functions at delivering dividends of democracy and overall good governance to the people have largely betrayed the emotion of many bookmakers who had earlier thought that he would temporarily halt his infrastructural revolution and massive road projects ongoing in Aba and other parts of the state in pursuit of his matter already lodged at the Supreme Court by his team of lawyers.

"Now judging the activities of Dr. Ikpeazu since the appeal court bombshell, every discerning mind will appreciate and conclusively agree that no other person is divinely positioned to govern and rebuild Abia at this most critical period in the history of our nation. As the biblical David, Dr. Ikpeazu has abundantly showcased wisdom, kindness, perseverance, humility, intelligence, knowledge, simplicity, transparency, sincerity of purpose, accountability, resilience and mostly the fear of God to fast-track development and deliver the much needed social amenities to the people. The massive road construction projects aimed at restoring commerce and entrepreneurship in Aba summarizes Dr. Ikpeazu vision for greater and prosperous Abia state."

What could have led to Ebere Uzoukwa's new song of "non performance" by Governor Ikpeazu?

My personal checks reveal that Mr Uche Ogah, who unsuccessfully tried to steal the mandate of Governor Ikpeazu, "performed" for Ebere Uzoukwa who was broke and struggling for survival with the dwindling earnings from his failing media career.

As these sayings go, an idle mind is the devil's workshop and a hungry man is an angry man.

With the failure of Mr Uzoukwa to realize his dream of becoming the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ikpeazu, after lobbying through his contacts in the state, he apparently became a bitter man and an easy prey to the likes of desperate Uche Ogah and other elements in the state who expected that the Government of Dr Ikpeazu will share the commonwealth of Abians with them and leave out the work of the people of Abia State.

If Governor Ikpeazu had agreed to appoint Ebere or regularly funded him and his sponsors he would have continued to tell the truth on the first class performance of Dr Ikpeazu in about 2 years of his administration that whethered through many distractions and sabotage from his political opponents. But since truth is now denominated in financial and other patronages, Mr Uzoukwa has transformed into a bitter opponent of the Governor seeking attention through serial attempted media blackmail.

Many Ukwa-Ngwa sons and daughters are proud of the performance of the first Ukwa-Ngwa Governor of Abia State and are already boasting that their people have produced the best and most development focused Governor of Abia state since the state was created in 1992. They are proud of the choice they made and are gearing up to deliver even more support to the Governor, when the time comes.

Only those seeking to be clan champions are complaining, not just from the Ukwa/Ngwa axis but also from old Bende political axis.

It is interesting to note that some clannish elements from old Bende axis are also whining that the Governor has done more work at Aba, a commercial city majorly populated by non-Ukwa/Ngwa people, than at old Bende area. To them Governor Ikpeazu is "Aba/Ukwa Ngwa Governor" while those who actually want him to be "Ukwa/Ngwa Governor" like Ebere Uzoukwa are also ranting that the Governor is doing more work at old Bende.

If anyone needs evidence that the Governor has not been partial to any area, there you have it.

Apparently what Ebere Uzoukwa now see as incompetence is the statewide development efforts of the Governor as against the partitioning of development in favor of any of the geopolitical zones of the state.

I wonder if anyone expects the Governor to apologize for that.

When we get to 2019 the whole of Abia State will certainly vote to re-elect Governor Ikpeazu and anyone can bet that the development loving Ukwa-Ngwa people will be in the front row of the support for the Governor who is making them and all Abians proud with his performance.

You are in your twenties and instead of thinking of how to succeed academically you are fantasizing about marriage
I wont say it is a bad thing?
It is not too early to think of a good future but climb the ladder from the first step

Now, about your fears, this is the solution to the fears
Accept Christ into your heart and God helps you get a good definition of a partner
If you are a Christian, truly born again, You will have a discernment not to marry a lady who have no God as guide in life
The only reasons people have marital issues is because Jesus is not at the central of their union
True Christian may have challenges in marriage but they have the word of God as a guide in solving thier issues

If you marry a woman or man who does not know Jesus and have no passion to obey the Bible
You have married a disaster
Trust me, they are many out there
Thank you for the advice, don't worry my academics isn't suffering for the sake of my thought. I also acknowledge the God factor in all we do.. Wisdom is also profitable to direct, there are things you learn from people and their experiences, for you shall seek wisdom as well as understanding which is profitable to direct. Note, there are notable men of God whose marriages couldn't hold water(that doesn't mean they didn't pray for the right one).
So, there is no harm in sharing and learning from opinions, Gracia!

Christianity EtcRe: What The Bible Really Says About Women Covering Their Head To Church by Sylverly(m): 6:45pm On Jul 30, 2017
BrainnewsNg:
In the Christian community all over the world there have been an age long argument among some denominations over the covering of “head” or “hair” by women when in church or when praying or performing any spiritual activity.

The anchor scripture in the Holy Bible Christians used for this law as written by Apostle Paul is 1 Corinthians 11 : 2 – 16.

Now, let us look at this portions of the bible with KJV and NIV to see if the Bible really restricted women from going to church or performing any spiritual activities with their “head” or “hair” uncovered.

1 Corinthians 11 : 5 -6 "5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. " - (KJV).

“5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. 6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head." – (NIV)

Again let's look at verses 13 – 15 of the scripture.

“13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." – (KJV)

“13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.” – (NIV)

From the above scriptures, the Bible made it clear that a woman who performs any spiritual activity with her “head” uncovered have dishonored her head therefore dishonor her creator. Also the hair of a woman is the woman’s glory and the Bible have made it clear that her “hair” is for the covering of her “head”.

My question now is; did the Bible command women to cover their “hair” while praying? NO.

There’s no place in the Bible that says a woman should cover her “hair” while praying. Please note the two English words “Head” and “Hair”. In the scriptures above, the Holy Bible has repeatedly made it clear that a woman should cover her “head” and not “hair”.

The Bible also in verse 16 of the scripture stated clearly that the long hair of a woman is her glory and for the covering of her HEAD.

Therefore, I stronger oppose the believe that it’s wrong for a woman to go to church or pray with her hair uncovered because the Bible never say so.

A Woman can pray to God with her hair open as long her head is covered with her hairs.

6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head." When you cut off the hair, aren't you exposing the head still yet. Please clarify

As share by his bother, the mode of operation is:

When the cyclist or driver initiates an effort on the bicycle pedal, the pedal takes it to the crank and then to the driver crown Bevel gear which is constantly meshed with the driver pinion. This effort/power passes from the Driver through the transmission shaft to the driven Bevel gear arrangement at the rear which now does the final work of moving the bicycle forward.

PoliticsRational Behind The Approved"time Limit For ministerial $ Commissioner Nominees" by Sylverly(op): 4:03pm On Jul 27, 2017
On December 8, 2016, Hon. SolomADAELU'S BILL ADOPTED BY THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

On December 8, 2016, Hon. Solomon Sloddy Adaelu, Member representing the Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives moved a motion which introduced a Bill to alter Sections 147 and 192 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Adaelu's Bill was a direct response to the inexplicable delay in the appointment of ministers by the President and in some cases, commissioners by state Governors.

It will be recalled that whereas President Buhari took office on May 29, 2015, he didn't appoint his ministers up until sometime in September.
In a state like Osun , Governor Rauf Aregbesola didn't appoint his commissioners till after more than one year!

Sadly, these Chief Executives didn't flout any law because the constitution didn't give any time limit for such appointments, leaving a huge gap in our laws which left such key appointments at the whims and caprices of the President and State Governors.
This is bad for our political and economic development.

Adaelu sought to fill this yawning lacunae in our constitution when he moved that motion. The motion was for a Bill to make it mandatory for either the President or State Governors to submit to their respective legislatures, the names of the members of his cabinet, not later than 30 days after his inauguration into office.
The Bill also sought to make it mandatory for such nominations to be accompanied by the specific portfolio which the nominee is expected to hold in government, if confirmed, in line with International best practices.
This will assist legislators to screen these nominees appropriately. If the legislators know that Mr. A is being screened for the position of Minister or Commissioner for Health, they would focus on areas that concern the work of the ministry, instead of the present practice where names are just submitted and after screening, portfolios are then assigned.

The motion by Adaelu was unanimously adopted by the House and committed to the Constitution Review Committee for further legislative work.

I am happy to announce that Adaelu's work has now been fully adopted by the National Assembly and will form part of the expected amendments to the constitution.

Yesterday, the Senate, after hearing the report of the Joint National Assembly Committee on the amendment of the 1999 Constitution as presented by Committee Chairman and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, voted overwhelmingly in support of the position canvassed by Hon. Adaelu.
