Not up to a hundred days in office a governor nyesome wike has turned port harcourt into a construction site and he makes it a point to visit all these sites daily. Sit back an enjoy this montage of the "construction governor"...

Machines roll into badly dilapidated roads in the heart of port harcourt as work begin.

Governor wike visits dilapidated bori general hospital and orders work to commence.

Pics of hospital and disgusting theater.

Unfortunately, Carson is going nowhere. The race is actually between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump though the Democrats are a little bit cojmplacent at the moment. With Trump setting a new kind of trend in today's politics in the States, He is likely to pull a surprise victory at the polls, unless the Democrats step up their game between now and January.
Donald trump is a joke and is only gaining traction with fridge right wing anti- immigrants republican voter base! The RNC will never let him get their nomination or else they will be crushed to dust in the elections where the votes they need are mostly from independents, latinos, blacks and women all of which trump has insulted just within the last few weeks.

He neither quoted nor insulted you. So,why the outburst?
his implication was RACIST and I was greatly offended by it. How can he say obama's presidency has somehow tainted the chances of other blacks becoming president. As if blacks are less competent or knowledgeable on leadership.

Obama is a sell out.he did nothing tangible for blacks in america, greatest president my foot
in as much as he is president of all races in the u.s, he has done some specific things for blacks but they have refused to recognise and tap into it, these include healthcare, education and even criminal justice reform. Recently, obama just pardoned more than 20 black mean sentenced for petty drug offenses. The problem with SOME blacks is that just like their SOME of their brothers in Africa they want everything free!! They want obama to assembly them on the national mall in Washington d.c, clear out the federal reserve and start handing them cash, rather than take advantage of the numerous opportunities made available for them. Instead latino's are taking those opportunities and their community is growing more than the blacks.

Ben Carson is going no where, even he knows that, that is why he is positioning himself to be the running mate of the eventual candidate but even at that, blacks won't vote for an uncle tom and latino's won't vote a party that has nothing but contempt and vitriol towards them. We are looking at 12 years of democratic party control if the u.s presidency.

Carson no doubt is a good material but Obama has killed his chances.

Many white folks see voting Obama as a terrible mistake and they won't do it again.

They even did because he has a little white background as per his mom.

However, if the Latinos and the blacks resolve their cat and rat stupidity and put their heads together, the dream may be achievable. undecided
shut your rotten mouth! Obama has spoilt the chance of a guy who wants to be president but does not know what NATO is or the Arab league. Belive it or not, obama is the greatest u.s president since johnson and regan and a great credit to blacks.

Violence or the threat of violence only goes to show that they are all clueless idiots who think Brawn is Mightier than brains. These Guys should just calm down, get educated, stop looking for handouts, enter strategic levels of oil and gas business, create peaceful( not extortive) business environments in the delta. That is the only way to prevent Coys moving away from that area.
such idiotic hubris...are you more educated than the average niger deltan? Because years of nepotism has stacked the commercial sector in your region's favour has you deluding yourself in a fools paradise that somehow you are above others.

So u want the business owners to limit the attention of their business to only the oil and gas sector in the Niger Delta abi. What will happen in the future if shipping crude and gas is no longer a viable business.

You guys should stop all this sentimentalism. These people are thorough business people who wants to invest in the billion dollar range. They have done their studies well and concluded the project will be more viable in Lagos. It will be highly counter productive to try and arm twist them.

Are u forgetting that it is only South Africa that has such a big ship yard in Africa. Which means the whole West Africa shipping lanes may resort to using this yard for their repairs and servicing.

Shipping business is not all about oil and gas. Shipping business has been thriving before oil came and will continue to thrive even after oil.

Lagos has been the most viable business hub decades before crude oil came and sorry, it will continue like that.
let's stay on topic! This is about a shipyard where ships that transport liquefied gas will be built, repaired, maintained, etc and it should be built in the nigeria delta. Home of all the gas plants, oil rigs and oil terminals, the federal government of nigeria should invest or seek partners to develop it's ports and not encourage injustice. There is no single argument to justify this. Bonny island even has a better access to the Atlantic than lagos so what is this apart from a calculated attempt to rip off niger delta's of their jobs. It should be noted that all this is happening when the first batch of maritime academy students trained in the jonathan administration revamped maritime academy in warri are to graduate. This will not stand.

Where does it rightly belong?? The most active port in Nigeria are the Lagos ports.

Any sensible business person who wants to build a yard where ships will be serviced and repaired will automatically consider Lagos before any other place. It is a strategic business decision and not mundane ethnic sentimentalism.

Investors consider many things before siting their projects in an area of choice. The govt can only advise them to consider relocating it. They can't force them. And if they do, it will affect foreign investor inflows into the country.
bonny gas transport(BGT) the LNG subsidiary responsible for this shipyard has been operating from bonny all this while along with other ships from shell oil terminal and other companies. Bonny island is not a spring chicken in the shipping buisness, it's facilities can rival and beat anything lagos has to offer. An island that has been shipping bonny light crude since the 70's. As I said defending this indefensible is grasping for straws.

Hmmm I knew a Yoruba must have a hand in this new development. They have since been trying to bring NLNG back ever since they moved their headquarters from Lagos back to rivers. Hmm.

I hope the youths in that meeting think twice in what they are doing. NLNG have been one of the good guys. They understand the plight of SS individuals therefore, I'm sure if they went and spoke to am in a calm voice rather that threaten like they doing now NLNG will very likely listen to them. Right now, their threats would present the opposite result.
personally, I think common sense will prevail after all these, if youths are threatening is because NLNG refused to listen when chiefs and elders wanted to negotiate, LNG will not want any noise, however small to disturb their already fledgling buisness.

Its funny though that many of the oil agencies are headquartered outside the Niger Delta. We even have a refinery in Kaduna. If the NLNG has been a private ish, I won't complain. But a government agency taking its shipyard away from its base of operations is weird to me.
actually, NLNG is a private company but with the Nigerian govt. As a majority shareholder but you are right in your accession, this plan makes absolutely no sense and the company is grasping fir straws attempting to defend it.
