Una sure say South African betting syndicate no place bet on Nwabali to fumble our world cup campaign since he plays and gets paid from their league? cause the "mistakes" he made today- especially for that Lesotho goal was very suspicious. I can't trust that guy. |
See as the BBL comment trigger am sotey she begin explain stories that touch, Aunty you do BBL abi you no do? ![]() |
Dem carry Northerners pack for team, when we raised our voices about this lopsided preponderance of players from a certain section of the country in the U20 squad list, the "politically correct" apologists came for our necks- now see the result...same nepotism we saw with the CHAN and U17 team. A perfect sample size would have to be the previous successful U17-U20 teams and the regions of the players, the Siasia teams that gave us some fantastic achievements and players at U20 levels easily prove this point. The uncomfortable truth many Nigerians will have to accept is that the best pool of Nigeria's football talents (going by the precedence of history) have always come from the old Bendel areas (current day Edo and Delta), the South East, some from the the Middle belt Christian areas and then the South West. The core Muslim North have never been known to produce top level athletes for Nigeria, and maybe that has more to do with poor scouting or perhaps the culturally laid-back attitude of the North towards sports. |
obinna58:I thought we were 200 million, when did we add more millions? |
Maigana Sani Suleiman Okoro Ayuma The distance between these players and the SE isn't far, the future looks really bright for them. |
Can I watch shows on gotv or Africa magic if I'm based in the USA? I understand those apps are geo-restricted to users based outside of Africa. |
Danielnino00:Chelle is clearly desperate and out of his depth, it appears the small glimmer of lifeline FIFA gave us from those points deduction from SA has made him decide to go all out and play attacking football with a predictable 442 formation, it will be route one football. The only problem is that asking Ndidi to play as a lone #6 will come back to bite us (as it has proven to be the case time and time again), Ndidi’s legs are gone and Lesotho and especially Benin republic will capitalize on our lean midfield to cause problems. Iwobi won't provide creativity from that midfield as he's best suited as a winger where he excels for Fulham. Based on this squad, I'll just go with a 433 formation, Onyeka/Alhassan and Chukwueze would have to anchor that midfied, play Onyeka and Onyeka to protect the back 4 while Chukwueze can be deployed as a CAM and given a creative role with his dribbling abilities and ability to run at the opps defense...Iwobi will either be benched or played from the wing. |
Did Chelle smoke something before releasing that squad? Why invite only 4 midfielders with no bone of creativity between them outside of Iwobi (who isn't consistent anymore?), omo i give up abeg |
The real problem of this team is purely down to tactical issues; once again an evidence of very poor coaching). The sort of goal scoring chances Ariehi missed would make you wonder if this lad is supposed to be the next heir to Osimhen as touted? very poor, the defending was so school-boy level and comical, surely Bameyi must have a football godfather in the NFF...football isn't hard, stick to the basics and fundamentals and you will be largely fine. But the current state of Nigerian football isnt anything to inspire confidence right now, we need an urgent administrative overhaul. The likes of Morocco, South Africa, Senegal etc look to be on an upward trajectory in their football development, Morocco in particular are really on a high wave right now, all their best foreign born talents are proudly representing them at all levels; while ours are avoiding us...truly sad state. If this current Super Eagles fail to qualify for the world cup even with the little glimmer of hope FIFA gave us, then we should ban football in Nigeria for some years and use the time off to do some thorough introspection and clean house from top to bottom. |
Pidginwhisper:The Osimhen curse strikes again |
This una u17 team na proper yeye, Manu Garba clearly goofed on this selection of players, really poor. |
M7even:Wish there's an individual compilation highlight we can see of his performance |
Bendeco02:They've tried to penetrate the East especially through those volatile and remote areas in Enugu and Ebonyi that share boundaries with bandit ravaged states like Benue and Kogi...which explains why places like Uzo-Uwani and Eha amufu were constantly attacked by herdsmen and people killed for years. But a new leadership has taken over the security of those places and the local government leaders have made sure to properly equip their vigilantes and forest guards who have flushed out the fulani bandits, peace has been restored in those areas. |
Happened in Oke-Ode, Kwara South and a yoruba community...over 12 men killed and more missing to bandit attacks. Yorubas won't talk about this one, Kwara and Yorubas there are under serious conquest, many have been killed and communities displaced...they are more concerned about "Owambe" and forcing online beef with Igbos who are minding their own business. |
UncleHaba22:So this egbon is 20 years old like this... Make I no talk sha ![]() |
solonnachi:As long as Ekong doesn't start any of the remaining games, otherwise Chelle is a fool who deserves anything that comes to him including a sack if we lose those games. |
That was a sweet finish from Tolu, if Wolves weren't so inconsistent and actually played to his strengths more, he will do so well. |
elyte89:Exactly, I'm not even a fan of Dessers as I still believe he's just not the quality of striker we need, but that midfield was so flat and uncreative that any striker would have badly struggled. |
PigTormentor:There are Yoruba communities in Kwara that have been sacked by fulani bandits as we speak now, how safe is your community as we speak right now? |
TheSuperNerd:Which players from this core would you tip to be future Super Eagles players? |
Now that international break is temporarily over, I hope NFF and Eric Chelle have rolled up their sleeves and gotten to the serious business of scouting for outstanding Nigerian talents across Europe...a new Nigerian kid just got signed by Monaco and got announced by Fabrizio (I bet NFF don't even know about him). That midfield in particular requires serious attention, fresh legs and ideas are needed now...it's not when the last fixture of WCQ starts next month that we will see the same boring Ndidi, Ekong, Simon Moses and Iwobi etc roll-out again. Majority of these players need to be retired already. |
Omo, Mbokazi really bullied Osayi-Samuel here sha, chei ![]()
|
oloriooko:The fool sabotaged the game with that line-up, I winced in anger and knew we were in for a really bad one when I saw Ekong AND Moses Simon starting that game, I don't know why Chelle didn't learn from the Rwanda game and other previous games that Simon Moses is a very limited player who is past his usefulness. The team that started the second half should have started the first half. A midfield of Onyedika, Dele-Bashiru and Uche/Onyeka would have been solid while Iwobi played from the LW where he does well for Fulham (at a point Iwobi had to play the DM role when Ndidi was subbed out, Iwobi was supposed to be our only creative outlet for goodness sake), and maybe Lookman in the RW. We had absolutely no width! Chukwueze should also have gotten in early... At the end all we are left with is "should have, would have", cause nothing is ever guaranteed when it comes to these players. I'm just over it, let's just press the reset button and start afresh with a new generation of players with Bassey and Frederick as the spine of the new players, give me the most exciting prospects we can get from the U20 team going to the world cup (that's if NFF don't mess that one up again with their rubbish and 419 selection). We have to get it right with this U20 world cup coming up by scouting and assembling the best known and unknown Nigerian talents both home and abroad), so that we can start rebuilding and preparing for 2030 with the AFCON and subsequent games next year. |
9JAMac10:They should retire before the AFCON, we are not winning anything with those players at the AFCON anyway so we might as well clean house now and use 80% of new younger players led by Osimhen as captain and then Bassey and Benjamin Frederick as the defensive core. |
robosky02:If we beat Lesotho and Benin republic with maximum points next month, and South Africa lose to either Zimbabwe or Rwanda + hopefully FIFA 3 pts deduction before that final fixture + the results from other groups vying for that best 4 losers...then we might have the slightest of chances to squeeze our way to the play-offs. |
mrwilliams9:Something that would never have happened under previous generations of Nigerian players, imagine a team with hot-heads like Sunday Oliseh, Jayjay, Ikpeba, Amunike etc bending over to Ghana and SA and worst of all Lesotho and Zimbabwe? Even the Mikel Obi/Osaze set wouldn't have gotten bullied like this to Ghana and SA. We really fell off honestly, surely we need to go back to the drawing board and start afresh, I'm prepared to succeed and fail with a new and younger generation of players who will fight for every blade of grass just for that Nigerian badge and pride. I'm done with this current players, absolutely done. |
Damiana5248:I laughed at Ethan Nwaneri, good luck with that. But i agree with the rest of what you submitted |
robosky02:Ironically Benin republic just gave us a life-line |
Ekong needs to go Simon Moses needs to Bleep off Eguavoen needs to resign NOW, like right now 70% of these players should never be called up ever again. Time to build the team around Tolu, Benjamin Frederick, Bassey, Felix Agu and others like Onyedika, Dele-Bashiru; then keep only Osimhen, Nwabali and Aina...na one eye we go use dey look Lookman but he was match rusty due to club inactivity. We can see more of Uche Christiantus cause he hasn't really had enough time to show his quality. Time to rebuild around the best core of players we can unearth and use the AFCON and start afresh. |
Osebanjo:You have to wonder why the bandits are mostly attacking the yoruba communities in Kwara South, it seems the Fulani agenda to permanently wipe out every trace of Yoruba footprint in Kwara is back on track, if the yorubas in the SW don't act now...then you will only embolden the enemies to encroach closer |
