mrwilliams9:Something that would never have happened under previous generations of Nigerian players, imagine a team with hot-heads like Sunday Oliseh, Jayjay, Ikpeba, Amunike etc bending over to Ghana and SA and worst of all Lesotho and Zimbabwe? Even the Mikel Obi/Osaze set wouldn't have gotten bullied like this to Ghana and SA. We really fell off honestly, surely we need to go back to the drawing board and start afresh, I'm prepared to succeed and fail with a new and younger generation of players who will fight for every blade of grass just for that Nigerian badge and pride. I'm done with this current players, absolutely done. |
Damiana5248:I laughed at Ethan Nwaneri, good luck with that. But i agree with the rest of what you submitted |
robosky02:Ironically Benin republic just gave us a life-line |
Ekong needs to go Simon Moses needs to Bleep off Eguavoen needs to resign NOW, like right now 70% of these players should never be called up ever again. Time to build the team around Tolu, Benjamin Frederick, Bassey, Felix Agu and others like Onyedika, Dele-Bashiru; then keep only Osimhen, Nwabali and Aina...na one eye we go use dey look Lookman but he was match rusty due to club inactivity. We can see more of Uche Christiantus cause he hasn't really had enough time to show his quality. Time to rebuild around the best core of players we can unearth and use the AFCON and start afresh. |
Osebanjo:You have to wonder why the bandits are mostly attacking the yoruba communities in Kwara South, it seems the Fulani agenda to permanently wipe out every trace of Yoruba footprint in Kwara is back on track, if the yorubas in the SW don't act now...then you will only embolden the enemies to encroach closer |
Yorubas in Kwara are in serious danger with this endless fulani incursions and killings in their communities, if nothing is done fast, there might be an existential crisis in Kwara with the way things are going. It's baffling why yorubas are silent about this incidents. |
Gunmen Attack Kwara Community, Invade Monarch’s Palace, Kill Residents, Abduct Several Others September 7, 2025 News The incident, which occurred on Saturday evening, left the community in shock as the assailants reportedly operated for hours without any resistance. Gunmen have once again attacked Shagbe community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing some residents and abducting several others during an invasion of the palace of the community’s monarch. The incident, which occurred on Saturday evening, left the community in shock as the assailants reportedly operated for hours without any resistance. A source told SaharaReporters that repeated calls were made to security operatives during the attack, but no response came. The source explained that the bandits stormed the community and moved straight to the palace. According to the source, people were killed and others taken away. For hours, they kept calling security agencies, but there was no intervention. The source said, "Bandits in large numbers stormed the community and forced their way into the palace of the Onishagbe of Shagbe, targeting the monarch or members of his household. However, their plans did not succeed. "They killed some residents, abducted others, and operated for hours without any response from security forces despite repeated distress calls. The Kwara State government has since said it is on top of the situation.” Meanwhile, the number of casualties and abducted residents could not be immediately confirmed at the time of filing this report. The latest attack adds to growing concerns over insecurity in Kwara State, particularly in rural communities where residents have repeatedly lamented slow security response to violent crimes. On August 24, 2025, SaharaReporters reported that hours after Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq visited Babanla community in Ifelodun Local Government Area to reassure residents of improved security, suspected bandits abducted two people in the area. The governor visited the area to reassure residents and restore a sense of security amid ongoing fears of banditry and kidnappings. However, the criminals struck soon after his departure, highlighting the persistent threat and heightening tension in the community. The incident reportedly threw residents into fresh panic despite earlier promises of tighter security measures. Governor AbdulRazaq’s visit was aimed at boosting morale and addressing the fears of residents who have faced recurring banditry and kidnapping attacks in recent months. https://saharareporters.com/2025/09/07/gunmen-attack-kwara-community-invade-monarchs-palace-kill-residents-abduct-several
