NYSC › Re: Abdulsamad Jamiu Was Shot In His Room — Family Rejects Army’s Account by t3ky(m): 11:23pm On Apr 27 |
Dogalmighty17: Nigerian army killed this young man without reason. A look at the video shows a clear premeditation to kill that corper. Climbing the fence, navigating into the room and then firing at a closed door knowing fully well that someone was behind it, speaks a lot. If that door was properly checked, it will be noticed that the Nigerian army rascals tried to break in but noticing that the youth corper had his weight against the door, they fired.
If the pathetic lies of the Nigerian army is to be believed, and there was an exchange of fire with robbers, did this exchange of fire happen in the corpers living room? If the bullet was fired from outside, where are the entry holes the bullet created in the fence, the living room wall before entering the bedroom?
Here is a more chilling possibility. The soldiers broke into the house through the backdoor and as the young man spotted them and tried running into the bedroom, they shot him dead as he was about closing the door. They fired TWICE as can be seen from the door. They fired with an intent to kill. This is a clear case of murder.
Where are the robbers the army apprehended? If they said they were called in response to an ongoing robbery operation, who called them? Can the residents of shagari estate back up the claims by the army? Why did the soldiers not wait for the police to document and secure the crime scene before asking the vigilante to clean up the room, mop up the blood and dispose of brain tissue and skull parts in the toilet? This incident must not be allowed to be swept under the carpet. Check the corper's phone and what he has been posting... |

irunoobo: I think Governor Ajimobi stands a better chance of winning again in oyo state going by the capture of federal power by the APC. All other political parties already have a stigma of supporting GEJ's re-election so the "CHANGE" mantra of the APC will work against them. I pity that PDP contenstant called Teslim Folarin cos GeJ's loss is a huge blow for his ambition. That old man Ladoja has nothing to offer anymore in OYO polity than a revenge for his ousting by Adedibu/OBJhi
I am positive APC will win OYo state you don't live in oyo state. |

Thanks for the response, I have gone to the lube guy to have the trans axle fluid filled in. I must say after many years of usage I am still getting to know parts of my faithful 'kamuri'. @ sultaan.pix of the part will be uploaded as soon as possible. @ DECOtech, i have coolant shortage although it's minimal, the heat is experienced over time not suddenly and on some days I don't feel it. |
Car Talk › Does Camry 1998 Model Uses Gear Oil? by t3ky(op): 9:23am On Mar 12, 2015 |
Good morning all. I took my car to the lube shop recently, after all the checks, the lubeman showed me a section underneath the car (a recepticle like something) saying that it's dry(contains no fluid) and that it should be filled with gear oil.I told him that there is transmission fluid in the car's transmission, but he said the section for the gear oil is different from that of the Auto trans fluid.I told him to hold on. I'll appreciate more enlightenment on this from my fellow Nairalanders. thanks in anticipation N.B sometimes I experience heat radiating from the footwell on the driver's side while I am driving. |

Siena: One thing is certain - with modern cars, it's often difficult to know what extras they have, at least just by looking. With my new car, I was after a specific specification, but the seller could not list all of them. He was certainly able to tell me what he could see, but some of the extras are not obvious to the inexperienced user, or sell. These are only accessible via the menu system.
So armed with the registration number and VIN, I called up my dealership, and gave them the details. Up to this point, I knew what the car had as standard equipment, which was:
DVD-Based Navigation. Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirrors. Electric Front And Rear Windows. Central Locking. 6-Disc Multi Changer. Cruise Control. Climate Control. Xenon Headlamps. Electric Mirrors. Air Suspension. Dual-Pane Glass. Servotronic Power Assisted Steering. Tinted Windows. Heated Screen Wash Jets. Headlamp Washers. Self-Levelling Headlamps. PDC (Parking Distance Control) Front And Rear. Folding Door Mirrors With Memory. Electronically Adjustable Steering Column With Memory. Electronically Adjustable Front Seats With Memory. 4-Spoke Multi-Function Steering Wheel. MMI (Multi Media Interface). Rain Sensing Wipers. Full Leather Interior. ESP. EDL. ABS. Front And Rear Headrests. Front And Rear Armrests. On-Board Computer. Auto-Check System. Dual Chrome-Tipped Exhaust Pipes. 6-Speed Tiptronic (ZF6HP-26). Front Fog Lamps. And after hearing back from my dealership, I found my car also has the following extras:
Pearl-Effect Paint (Ebony Black Pearl Effect). Adaptive Air Sport Suspension. So the ride height and firmness can be varied. Car lowers further 15mm over 70 mph. Electric Rear Window Blind. Manual Rear Side Blinds. Adaptive Xenon Plus - means HID is also available on main beam, and there are extra lights that turn with the steering wheel. Heated Rear Seats. Cordless Bluetooth Phone. DVD Player. TV Reception. Bose Surround Sound. Power Door Closing - means you can just push the doors to, and they are sucked in. No slamming needed. Power Trunk Open And Close - means you can simply use the remote fob. Alcantara Pack. Aluminium Pack. Interior Light Pack (Ambient Lighting). Exterior Light Pack. Rear Climate Control Panel. Small Cool Box (In Glove Compartment). Small Fridge (In Left Hand Storage Area, Luggage Compart). Sport Front Seats. Voice Control. 8.5"x18" 5-Arm Aluminium Wheels. Coming Home Lighting. Automatic Lighting - means they sense dusk.
It's missing a few extras, some I may retrofit:
Adaptive Cruise Control - means the car will match the speed of the car in front, in case it slows down (radar controlled). Sunroof (definitely won't fit one). 9"x20" Aluminium Wheels (definitely getting a set). Rear TV Monitors In Headrests / Bluetooth Headphones (definitely fitting them). Fingerprint Recognition / Start (definitely not fitting this). 3-Spoke Multifunction Sport Steering Wheel (definitely fitting one). Báng & Olufsen Surround Sound (might fit this).
Hopefully, time permitting I'll be picking her up on Friday, then it's time to start scouring eBay and my dealership for accessories to personalise my new purchase. This is cool. |

9icetoo: I drove from lagos to my villa in anambra with less than 3/4 of a full tank. I was pretty pleased with the car considering i spent an hour and thirty five minutes in traffic at ore. However, it seems to consume so much more fuel in city driving. I havent done the full maths yet but it doesnt seem to be able to do more than 7km per litre. i find this perplexing. Its a 2002 toyota camry with a 2.4 liter engine I get roughly the same mileage in inner city driving with my '98 camry |
