pkween: A fiancée called up her fiancé yester night and the reply she got was, this is a bad time to call me because I am seeing a match. Tell me, can his watching of football match be more important than the conversation with his fiancée in a distant courting relationship? There will always be a much better time to talk ..... If he's watching football, respect that and tell him to call back when he's free! |
Pampers: What works for a couple might not work for another. It all depends on the parties involved...Absolutely ... There is no set standard or criteria! |
nitrogen: Oh yes! It is easy to say than to do in Nigeria, when you think of all that will be channelled to the case and what have we, costs, energy, time and others, one can only whine about it, and no action is taken. Wanted to add that one should add the rigours to go through, especially with the incessant adjournment of cases and the corrupt judges........ but when I saw the bolded (particularly the word 'if') then I sensed it that you really did catch the drift.I hope so.... Nigeria needs to start doing things properly A very tough and frustrating country but the hustle must go on..... |
Terrible ...... ![]() |
Emperoh: U know, at some point i contemplated legal action. Cos i felt the sacking wasn't justified and again, i wasn't given a chance to a hearing. But i was discouraged by two things; the energy expended on the fight could be used in fixing myself up in something else. Again, to what end actually? To retrieve the job? And then get victimized all through your stay or seek compensation? That won't be the likely end. Again, with the prominence of this man, his closeness to the corridors of power and his financial backbone, baring divine intervention, i will be doomed!! Cos I may not win.If everything was set in place (labour laws, employment tribunal etc...) for you to challenge the dismissal, there is no way you wont win! And you dont need the job back, all you need is a compensation for the unfair dismissal and assurances that they wont be giving you bad references or recommendations ... Simples! They wont even dare try you if the laws and a tribunal system is in place in the first place ..... They risk the reputational damage, financial loss and any other associated negativity for something trivial .... You end up on the winning side ........ regardless! |
AjanleKoko: Maybe. They are local entrepreneurs. And remember the labour laws in Nigeria don't exactly protect the employee from a lot.I have noticed a trend along that line, based on stories i have heard/read about and other personal or close experiences.... I agree with you on the labour laws outhere, it is absolutely disappointing that people can be sacked without a fair hearing or going to a structured process.... The sort of things i am reading here about how and why employees get fired or can get fired, it is absolutely insane The labour laws need to be reviewed and reformed.... An employment tribunal system is needed as well....................... |
nitrogen: When employees (especially local ones) are caressed and controlled with levity hands, we all now the definite consequences on the business and the economy at large. In theory, this sort of treatment is meted out predominantly to local employees right? |
Itulah: He is a failure and will continue to be a failure. Even his state of origin will not vote him, not to talk of me a whole me from Edo stateDont kid yourself... You are a nonentity in a leper colony! |
Kamanda: Yes! This is a faceless forum. We may not know who you are as a person in REAL LIFE but whenever sensible Nairalanders see your ID they know you are here to LIE and DECEIVE. ![]() |
chiover: please accompany me.No thanks. Goodluck |
It is left to the people of Adamawa and God to decide whether he will be the next governor otherwise, it wont happen. Rigging and imposition of favoured candidates wont work in 2015, be prepared.... |
chiover: May I quickly remind him that his son was indicted in the subsidy scamThis is not the right place to do that .... Go to Abuja or Adamawa and serve your reminder to Tukur! |
AjanleKoko: @Emperoh,Generator packed up and people got fired for that? Wonderful!!!! |
gbadexy: Are you people for real?I swear, not only wackos, but daft, dumb and dimwitted folks all over! How someone can come up to the conclusion that the attack was staged is beyond me, it is pure foolishness and sentimental infused garbage! I give up on Nigeria and its citizens!!! |
Another reason why i think the majority of the moderators on this forum are nitwits and mooorooons! What is this crap doing on the front page? Why was this thread not deleted immediately it was created?! You lot have a long way to go! JOKERS!!! |
EmmyDe25: Chris Brown 'toppin' d RnB genreDont mind the idio...t He thinks he knows music!!!! LOL Why am i even back on this thread when a lot of folks here talking nonsense dont even know jack sh*t about music How someone will claim Chris Brown is better than Drake by using flawed and dumb yardsticks, is beyond me! But i guess as everyone is entitled to his or her opinions, it makes it ok to spew garbage and whatnot! |
Vision2017: Let her be for she has every constitutional right to vote for any candidate of her choice. You're the one to be tagged a 'Lost soul' here.Thank you.... If anyone wants to vote for Buhari or Atiku or GEJ, he or she has the rights to do so ... But to start attacking or calling people names for the choice they make, is simply immature, disrespectful and daft! |
lekkie073: another lost soul.....*yawn*Dweeb..... What do you know?! Daft cu....nt! |
Here we go again ...... |
swtcharissa: another lost soul tooGo and ask your owners to tell you the real truth about you, you will realise what has been hidden from you all of this time ..... unfortunate product of an illicit mating! |
alfaman2: Another lost soul. How is she a lost soul? You and your ilks are one of the problems hindering Nigeria's progress .... Someone came up here to declare her intention to vote and campaign for Buhari, and you are saying she is a lost soul? What crime is she committing? Fu...cking pleb! |
Onorhemu: Thanks To God Almighty,Cause I Know Someday Nigeria will be more better than America....the question is just a matter of time. Most likely not in our lifetime! Maybe, just maybe, in another life |
I am surprised that you table leg guy is no longer enthusiastic about 2015, what happened?
Enthusiastic about 2015? Was i ever? I cant be anyway with the same ol sh*t going on in that country .... There is a lot of time between now and 2015, but it will take a lot to change my mind! |
israel007: Here in nigeria. Getting thereDont kid yourself .... Nigeria is not practising Democracy!!! If you think otherwise, give me 10 good reasons why you do! |
sooo true! ![]() he's definitely one of my favorite r&b singers. i think donnell jones is also underrated. ever since OVERRATED usher came out with his 8701 album back in 2001 those two brothers had a hard time keeping up even though they had a barrage of hits.
The reason why those cats are underrated is because most people dont appreciate good and quality music anymore .... From hip hop to pop to RnB, a lot is missing compared to what it used to be .... Very few genres continue to hold it down.... NeoSoul, Jazz to mention a few .... It goes way deeper than the dance moves and the videos clad with nude ladies, fast cars and all sorts ...... It takes something special to relate to good music... The older folks know what RnB is all about .. Very few of the new folks in the game presently are capable of holding RnB down! I relate to all genres of music but my fav is the neosoul ..... having done some work in that genre myself, artiste mgt, script writing and promotion.... Topic Weekend Love - Dwele Still hungover from the Dwele show last night at the Jazz Cafe, Camden ..... One of my fav in the Neosoul category!) |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A9nR1a9coc
That album .... Lord hammercy Carl Thomas is so underrated!!!!Topic Ledisi Ft Jaheim - Stay Together |
