B2mario:Never wanted to comment on this thread. But with this mr man, you lied and accuse someone else of lying. That st. Joseph normally get flooded whenever it rains, not just a serious rain but 2mins rain. Abagowro actually knows this that's why he mistook st joseph for st augustine, why don't u snap the double two storey buildings behind st joseph? People in that compound have packed out due to flooding. Farmlands and some houses normally get flooded at orlu especially around that st Joseph. You people will still go there in dry season and get me pictures of those building when the occupants must have pack in to call me a liar. ![]() ![]() |
asha80:what u saw is construction company with the name *hirbution*(sorry bro, can't remember but it start with H ) unless they are the people that will build the Power plant but they have already built their slogan at the front gate and they have paint their whole gate with their company's name and slogan. And do u know which city the power plant is going to serve? |
BuddahMonk:Those electrical guys move out from road because they really suffered in their previous location. They were in moore street and they don't have upto 50 shop when they are still in moore street, they normally have monthly night visitors that came to break their stores/warehouse to rob their goods because security in anambra was a very big issue then. They are the first traders to introduce street vigilante in Odakpu. I am always happy for those traders because their market has grown beyond imagination, they left when they have only few shops but they have grown beyond shop and they are now building plazas and bank inside their new site. Its not an easy feat. There is another international at that Oba, it was started by Mbadinuju financed by UBA and other firms, the mkt is of international standard but i dnt know why people are not occupying that place for close to 2decades.Obiano is reconstructing that market, I don't know the traders he intend to drove to that site. Govt should ban Mkts in Onitsha and Nkpor but they should be forced to move toward Ogbunike, Umunya and Oba side.Obiano has already ordered for the relocation of iron/rod dealers to umunya, he is building a permanent market for them over there. Many companies like meduim scale large companies that were operating before the within the Harbour Industrial Estate like-Bc Ifegbo is still running, I can't say about others cos I don't know where its located. Another thing i didnt like is the demise of GCM Onitsha, i wish SABMiller could have been sited somewhere else and GCM should be revitilize bc GCM was the highest employer of labour in Anambra State after the State Government.I Thought GCM is inside Sabmiller cos I use to see their signboard at the front gate. Chino will help confirm if they are still operating or not. Btw I like your inputs. |
BuddahMonk:Please try and make some inquiry about one kind power plant 459mw to be precise with the name century. Find out if they are through with the project, and also the town/city the plant is going to serve. Wish u safe journey in advance. |
ba7man:Lol, my brother I wonder how three flyover can change the face of a big city like awka. |
JonBee1:Stop spamming my mentions with your stupidity. I won't fault the article because he said we should treat you people like eggs at the detriment of others, FYI, anambra has 178 communities, we don't have a special community so don't expect Ansg to do what your brothers have to do for themselves, we have many clan in Anambra with different dialect, we don't discriminate, if you found my opinion bad then that's your problem cos that's the reality. Nobody from my village works as serving commissioner in Anambra but we are not complaining. And again stop spamming my mentions with your stupidity. Ijiot. |
leo1234:#TeamNnewisouth Bro, the most progressive area in Nigeria. |
9inches pls I need more pictures from Nkpor. Good pictures so far, Nkpor is not doing bad, at least your pix can relate with my previous comments on total neglect of onitsha and environs. |
ACM10:This is what I told the Op, But johnbee1 choose to misinterpret me, Johnbee1 the idiot, Ansg cannot promote the igala Language without the help of those Igala communities at Anambra. They have to organize themselves and meet with Abs and other radio and Tv station, they should create a programme that will be display atleast 2hours daily just to create awareness. They have a fight to do but it seems they are just comfortable with the present situation. |
mumuguyman:Are you from that side? Pls help me educate the Op that Igala are not upto 5% of anambra population. |
princeunugwa:The oil reserve is at Aguleri-otu, Anambra forest reserve to be precise. Orient has already started operation drill the oil, so we are no longer claiming what is already ours |
Nnewi1stSon:Lol, bro his post reeks of ignorance and stupidity. So u did well by not quoting him. I decided to quote brother famous because he is from awka and still don't know what's up. As for pix, after my primary intention at Otu-ocha, my other intention is to waka straight to the refinery and get some pix, but on hearing the news that the refinery is yet to be completed, I felt sad and kick my other intentions like snapping the various road projects , the ongoing construction of new market, and some cool structures coming up there though its own by indigenes. I even hear say there is ongoing construction of another bridge across Omanbala river to add to the old one wey people no dey use. But next year, if by God's willing ofe people or another set of people don't drill this thread ![]() ![]() I will go there cos na yearly I dey visit there and get some cool pix. |
famousurch:so because aba and obigbo is bad let onitsha follow suit? Why don't you suggest for awka our state capital to be like Ph? Abi you're not aware that awka still has a lot to do to catch up with others? |
Klinee:I have once visited Nzam but I don't know there are other igala communities in anambra, Nzam is big actually but its just empty land with lesser population. Bro, if u want your language to be recognize, then start creating awareness from your village, your people should form a town union in which one every city outside Nzam you found yourselves. There are a lot to do before government will help out. You know that in Otu-ocha they don't discriminate if you come from igbo stock or from igala stock. So don't ever think that anambra state government is the one behind your predicament, you people have a role to play. Btw, there is no longer crisis between aguleri and odeke cos orient has resume work at aguleri oil field. I came back from otuocha yesterday. Since you're from that side you can confirm as well. |
Klinee:I know you know everywhere in anambra but you people(igala) are not upto 5% population. Anambra has 178 communities, and igala communities has lesser population even your so called Nzam is a big farmland. You people ran to Otu-nkwo to buy even razor blade ![]() ![]() You are clamoring for equal right and for special quota to be given to your community which is unusual. We have many clan in Anambra but when it comes to politics, we don't do clans and zones. We always allow the best man to win the game, so if you think your people are capable, go and organize them for a better tomorrow to contest for various political positions especially for senatorial position. Then you can prove to the whole world that you hold the population in anambra west. And btw you people only have about 60% oil deposit at anambra and not 98% because places like aguleri, Omor and Anam has their own oil field. I know that you will be more accepted in places like aguleri, anam anaku, ifite ogwari but it has nothing to do with our discussion. |
Klinee:Ok, but u don't talk like a person who knows everywhere in anambra. |
oneeast2:Oga chino, it won't cost anambra state anything to construct and reconstruct all the roads at fegge, odakpu and environs, the roads at inland town are equally in Good condition but I don't know what they may look like in the next 3 yrs, we need to construct them all at once. Ta Orji which most people call failure , reconstruct all the roads at world bank umuahia without blinking an eye, I don't know why the case is different in anambra state. We normally construct one road in one area once in two years. |
oneeast2:Oga chino, This road is inside housing estate fegge and not fegge proper. This is housing phase 2. Peter obi built only few roads at fegge which I can comfortably count. |
LOL, I don't know why I laughed so loud ![]() ![]() So Obosi is no longer Onitsha? But when you people start your normal propaganda work everywhere even Ogidi will turn to onitsha? But even if we are talking of Onitsha proper, streets at fegge and odakpu need attention especially those ones that connects main market. Abi na when 40ft container go fall kill person, una go act ? As for that flyover, yes I am aware and its good and commendable. But what abt the inner streets at Obosi? What is the fate of those living at Omabga phase1 and 2? oneeast2: |
oneeast2:He is slow, Onitsha needs serious attention via road constructions, can't you see all the places I mentioned above? Some of them are yet to see even 1inch of coaltar. Have u been to odume layout(Obosi)? Solid structures of 5 storey buildings are in their hundreds yet they don't have good roads |
oneeast2:Anambra state needs to fast track their development cos I was disappointed I all that I hear and saw, the population is seriously growing via nsugbe, nkwelle and 3-3 axis, new buildings are coming up yet there is no Good road. People over there are living on God's will. Roads at fegge are falling off and since last 12 years only few have been rebuilt or built by government, New layouts like Odume(Obosi) and some other ones at Nsugbe and Nkwelle don't even have a single tarred road even the entrance, roads in Omagba are in bad condition, I like what peter obi did at odekpe, But in total, Onitsha and environs need a total rehabilitation. Even the roads that leads to main market(okwei & kano). The road was started by peter obi but was abandoned by obiano. Even bicycle can't pass that road due to it sorry state, and the road is a very strategic one. Obiano is trying but he should buckle up cos other states don dey leave us waka oh |
asha80:Do u know the owner? Peter obi the fraudster is likely to have a quota in that company. |
oneeast2:Inter bau is a good company, if not till now u said they are local company, I wouldn't have know they are. They are doing a good job cos their road(atani road) is one of the best road in anambra state. I know what I am saying abt IDC, go to bida and many of the road they constructed and see the shabby work they do. I know how their engineers collect bribe to just to unmark a place that is already mark for drainage system, they will remark it outer making the road too small. They destroy culverts and block drainages coming from any adjoining streets. Obiano even paid road side workers for finishing touches at bida road due to their drainage blockade of the adjoining streets. |
oneeast2:When are they going to start the project? What about the dual carriage way? If company like IDC handles that dual carriage way, its going to take them 6 yrs to complete. |
oneeast2:Yes... Obiano is trying and doing a wonderful job when it comes to sanitation. They sweep the road everyday(not only that road). The aswama people work everyday just to help clear the road of mess and pack out people's dustbin, this is a feat that has not been achieved by any government since I was born, though with what I am seeing obiano will step up in sanitation any moment from now. But that IDC company dem no dey try, a different company was assigned to do the finishing touch at old road-nkpor flyover, that segment of road infront of zik's mausoleum. CCC company use to handle all the road projects in anambra but now its IDC which is very bad on the part of Ansg. |
3dankey:. Security situation? That place is free from petty thieves and kidnappers, And btw Aguleri and Odeke people are no longer fighting, Peace has come back to the border community between anambra and kogi state. |
Nnewi1stSon:Nna my brother, na so I see am oh. I don't know what's wrong with Ansg, they seem to be slow in development, since last year they have been repairing 1km of upper iweka road and they are yet to complete it, the lanes they have completed looks shabby, obiano should do something abt this IDC cos they lack good arts in finishing touch. I was disappointed to hear they are yet to start their airport project, I was busy looking for the workers handling the so called dual carriage way. The only thing is that he is constructing more rural roads in aguleri. |
Johnolis:I don't live at Otuocha. Thank you. ChimaAdeoye:Oga you talk like say you no be igbo man again. We normal call any land wey dey for road SIGHT ![]() ![]() |
All the project that was promised by Obiano is yet to start eg Orient Airport and Dual carriage way from 3-3 to Aguleri. The Orient refinery is yet to be completed but they busy drilling oil at the oil field at Aguleri, I wonder what they intend to do with unrefined oil ![]() My next Otu-Ocha visit will cover the Orient Refinery, Aguleri Oil Field And Nzam Oil Field. Mmiata(Anam) is located across Omanbala river and it looks like a town on Island because it surrounded by Omanbala river and most of the inhabitants lives at the river bank. I stopped at Umuoba(anam), I don't wanna cross the Omanbala river since I am not going further, the boat transportation fare is #20(normally its #10) because the water has risen above the normal level due to excessive drilling by orient workers and raining season. But the river has expand.
|
Klinee:I don't even know my senatorial district but I am from Nnewi south LGA Klinee:you people are far too small to exceed 2%, have u been to normal anambra community during xmas? Have u even been to aguleri(otucha) your neighboring community during xmas and see the much population there? Orient are also doing their thing at aguleri, so don't make it seem like if they are drilling only the oil at nzam. |
Anam people are mainly farmers and fishermen, They are the main source of new yam( ji ofuu) in Anambra, Ebonyi state also cultivate that specie of yam but Anam community has it own quota in which they are not doing bad. The Yam market at Umuoba(Anam)
