Many roads built by Dantata &Sawoe are that way. Inter Bau also likes to rush into a road project, then takes one million years to complete it. It is perhaps our nature of corruption speaking.

Dantata and sawoe are still better than IDC because some roads at gwarinpa are constructed by D&S with good finishing unlike IDC.

My dear, there's need to encourage our local firms. That's the only way others will see what they've done and patronize them. I kpoo oba gi mkpokoro, agbatobi e were a kpoo ntu. If we must attract foreign investors, then we must patronize our indigenous investors first. Imagine the impression foreigners will have if Innoson manufactures his vehicles and no one in Nigeria is buying the vehicles. Let's not condemn them, if there is any area they need improvement, let's bring that to their notice. I believe they'll improve with time.

Maybe you don't understand why we are totally against IDC.
They use to construct road like they are the only road contractors in the world, they are not the only local construction companies in nigeria.
CCC and hammkopp are local contractors too but there is always a difference between their projects and IDC projects.
Go to nnewi-utuh-osumenyi road and see how smartly hammkop built the road which is being threaten by erosion and even built erosion control drainage at the erosion side of the road to prevent havoc but IDC will build a road free from erosion and it will collapse within 6 months i am not lying, go and see the culvert/road that links bida with creek road, it collapsed withing 3months after construction. Obiano want to patch it but it collapsed beyond patching .

I will give more examples of their flops if you're still interested in listening.

Bida and new market road prior to last year it was reconstructed by pita obi other roads that lead to main market like sanieez,more street and okwei street.
while ngige did venn road north/south and obiano patched the broken parts

IDC has never deliverd any project worthy of note in Anambra. This is why I'm still skeptical of the flyovers they are constructing in Awka. There is another one called Paul b which built the poorly designed secretariat. I guess these companies are owned by Peter obi else I don't know why they were and are still getting contracts in the state. Why can't Anambra State govt hire trusted construction companies to handle their projects? This IDC should just be used in the Local Government level. The company even looks overwhelmed with the flyover projects and other projects they are all handling.

IDC is no match for CCC.
If not for nairaland i will never know that CCC is a local company. Mbadinuju and Ngige use them for road construction and some of that roads are still in good condition till date but roads constructed by IDC last year are being wash away by rain while some of them have collapsed, did i forgot to mention that their finishing touches are like manual job done by masons?

is unfortunate that everybody in nairaland claim to know everything...who told you that there is no oil (fossil gas) in ukwa east &west of abia state? I don't comment on this kind of post but just yesterday some guy that have never been to abia state were busy saying thrash about ibo's (akirika obu,is an ndoki village) claiming akwa ibom land and just that same yesterday this same ukwa ibo's became ijaws.That fact remains that in some part of ukwa &obingwa LG's a stranger can handly know when he is in abia state or akwa ibom.Infact,the go to same church,school &market. I don't stand to gain anything if ukwa or oyibo is part of biafra but a trip to the locality will convince you.

I have been to azumini which is pure Ndoki village at ukwa east, there is no oil exploitation going on there , Ukwa west is the only oil producing area in abia(I don't know any other place) and my friend told me that people of ukwa west are not ndokis.

I am not saying about masons who are littered in villages temporary because someone who base in north or west bring them over for his building project .

The 2006 riot is the most bloodiest in which I am a witness because I was around that particular time.
It was caused by the cartoon riot in the north+unconfirmed rumour down south.
The cartoon riot in the north that led to death of many christians from other tribes and not only the igbos.

What about the yoruba youth corpers that were murdered in cold blood during the 2011 presidential election?

I have said it before because it can be easily done if there is a good cooperation between the landlords of the area with or with no government.

Investnow2013 pls if you can forward it to the chairman of landlord at Obosi it will be a very good idea because Obosi needs a good road.
If upto five street at Obosi should do it, I believe other street will follow suit because 90% of roads at awada,odume and ugwuagba Obosi needs serious attention.

This is a good idea.
odume and awada obosi residents are suffering because of bad roads but the neighborhood is dotted with good looking houses.
since the governor is unable to flag off new road network in developing maybe due to the current economy of the nation, this idea should be adopted in some specific areas like Obosi(odume,ugwuagba,awada), nkpor, omagba phase I & II, fegge and odoekpe.
The beauty of this idea is that it is not a phantom project that needs billions to execute. it just need the cooperation of landlords and government.

But when you discover that 100% manufacturing activities going on in Nnewi is indigenous, 100% of manufacturing going on in Awka is indigenous then Obosi, Ogbunike, Umunya and Oba are all indigenous companies Onitsha too is almost 80% indigenous.
Forget people asking if multinational companies do exist in East, indigenous manufacturing are best ways to achieve greater economic impact directly on the locals.

Anambra have more indigenous industry than abia and anambra also have more industries than abia aside from brewing companies .
