During obi era I don't use to see waste bin there because that spot is where I stay if I want to cross road when visiting my brother at ALL HALLOWS.

Obiano promised to make Anambra the cleanest state in West Africa and he is working toward that. Mechanized road/street sweepers has equally been deployed to our major cities. Obiano should buckle up in waste management , markets and major roads are littered with waste.
He should create commisoner for waste because Onitsha and environs are fast losing it .
Keeping Onitsha neat is a hard but worth doing task.
Strict rules should be and hard punishment should be enforce on those that dump their refuse at undesinated areas and on those aswama workers and drivers who don't clear the waste bin on time.

Onitsha is now heavily populated so obiano should buckle up.

Hold it bro, i was here during Obi's tenure and i'm still here and it's never been this bad. Kudos to Obiano as per security but sanitation is a no no. @investnow, please do the needful and forget these silly sycophants.
I repeat, wouldn't want to drench this our beautiful thread with horrible pix of just old road Nkpor alone.

During peter obi's tenure, he don't provide enough waste bin so people carry their waste and dispose it at designated area but obiano came onboard and install many wasteb bin at many places thinking that it's easy to tackle waste problem, since then people have been dumping refuse anyhow even when aswama removed the waste bin, people will start dumping it on the road just like they did at creek road.
Right now upper iweka especially fly over is very dirty because of littered waste not only dirty but stinking.

And you know river niger flows with a great pace that's why you can't leave your boat on the shoreline without tying it no matter the size of the boat.

On my way back from PH few hours ago I noticed Agulu lake Hotel has been completed, the whole place has been light-up, I believe it will be commission soon, Government attention is also needed some parts of Onitsha, the commissioner of environment need to pay more attention around upper Iweka, up flyover, and Onitsha Owerri road, Uga/Ekwulobia road is also seeking for government attention, and Oba where they dump refuse, seriously need to pay more attention on, I noticed the state government are trying to use fence to block the refuse site, although times are hard, we apperciate his great efforts paying works and doing all these massive projects, I want to use this opportunity to thank Gov Obiano for the morden bus-stop, signposts and road marking going on around Anambra, beautification of Borromeo round-about, Oba international market and other projects, so many states are facing economic crunch, this great man is till performing, I pray for God's guidance, protection, strenght, wisdom, love, good health for you, your family ,your team and Ndi Igbo.

The Oba international market is almost completed and it is wonderfully design with garden lamp.
Maybe Obiano wants to commission all the completed project the same week because I am sure somewhere another project which we know nothing about will be at the completion stage like the aguleri bridge.

Lol..as much as I think cjrane went a bit too far I understand where he is coming from..an experience I had in owerri 10yrs ago explains it..we were entering a viewing center and there was some disagreement btw the owner of the event center and an imsu student who obviously was and born and brought up in Lagos and his name is Igbo was from the exchanges I was hearing..then those of us who knew the owner of the place prevailed on him to allow the student want the match and a friend I was with paid for the student..then instead of the imsu student to just relax and watch match he started this small opening raking and ranting for about one minute...nobody talked to him only for him to end the raking with shouting some Yoruba sentences(like the ones you hear area boys drop at times in Lagos )..

That's the end point of the drainage before getting to river niger and it is being cleared every year to avoid getting blocked.

How can you cover it and open it during clearing? And moreover everybody in onitsha knows that the drainage is restricted area that's why it is even paved with cement.

Just all his substandard projects.. I think its time Anambra state government hired reputable construction firms to handle its projects. Is it a crime for firms like setraco, juluis berger, rcc, arab contractors etc to work for APGA governments? I'm tired of seeing all these narrow single lane roads without pedestrian walks all over the state making the state look like nothing but a big village. We cant compare roads done by Setraco during Ngiges tenure to the substandard roads done by the mushroom idc company. I know obiano is initiating bold projects in the state but if the execution looks like that of Peter obi then there wont be any difference

Some IDC roads are solid but the problem I have with them is that their finishing is always poor even their upper iweka flyover because till date they are yet to change all the old rails that's why obiano fire them and hire another company to finish the gardens and roads that surround zik's mausoleum(old road).

I like some local contractors that build roads especially CCC because their job is always up to task and Ngige also use them during his own tenure.
The roads they built at alor are still standing with zero pot hole, the road they built that connect otolo nnewi-utuh-ukpor is still fresh and new.

Just like cuche said "IDC is owned by a power broker that's why they normally built nonsense and still get new contract"

Anambra need a serious thinktank group that will featuring in TV and radio stations discussing how things are done in contemporary societies.

Most of ABS featured programs here are missing a lot of ingredients, nobody has made case for tourism in Anambra, do you know that Nwangene Lake at the heart of Onitsha can be refilled and erect skyscrapers facing the River Niger and Asaba.
We need to develop that lake by mapping it out for skyscrapers that will be housing major offices in Anambra State.

There was a disagreement between The govt of former governor Obi & Ozubulu Land Owners concerning share allocation!.Ozubulu industrial Layout was original donated to the govt for the establishment a Machine Tool Industry!.Obiano is still looking into the deal!.The layout is very vast & can contain 6 to 10 Medium industries & one of them mentioned above have just secured their place there!

So you mean to say that the construction of distell brewery plant is abandoned? What about may&baker that is sited at ozubulu? Have they also abandoned the project because of land owners? So all the companies that was sited at ozubulu have stop work because of land owners?


If ozubulu industrial estate can contain only 6-7 industries then its small and not as vast as you think because nkpor industrial layout has about that number of industries with more still under construction with some few warehouse.






Obiano should increase more strength in building more industrial layout in Anambra and attracting more investors just like he is doing now because looking at Nigeria's economy, The future is not bright.

Just because someone was complaining about the substandard bridge our previous fraudulent of a Governor construct they are calling for her head.

They should go and see the bridge he constructed across nwangele drainage that collapsed within a month.
