these pictures were taken this year but i am not sure the state government is incharge of the rehabilitation exercise, there's a rumour that nigeria brewery in aba is responsible for this because the state government made a proposal to them sometime last year to take-over the facility. i know about the proposal but i don't know if they accepted it, I will findout anyway.

I think they have already start production cos I normally smelt one kind beverages oozing from their factory and normally saw big lorries packed by the road side.
Infact their drink don enter beer parlor unless they have another factory.

Siting of Raddison Blu and Shoprite there is part of the smartcity they are developing to stretch to GRA phase 2 even up to Akpaka forest reserve where they want to develop luxury apartments.

Peter Obi did well by siting that shoprite at that location.
The location is between the high class(gra,akpaka forest & 3-3) area and middle class(inland town, odoakpu) area.

The good thing about the shoprite is that Onitsha is fast adapting to posh life and night life.
I called my friend last two week sunday by 11pm and was confused when i heard loud music on blasting from the background, I asked him where he was and he told me he is at fish farm omagba phase2. He told me that people where still coming by the time they left there around after 11pm.

You need to visit the site, I know security men will not alway you to enter but when you see the hotel it will change your perception, I have visited the site they are doing magnificent job from the road and two bridges that lead to the hotel, I believe by the time they are through with the landscaping the beauty will pump-out, since is for tourist the building it's ok

How will I get to the resort from Ezi-agulu junction? And do u also mean to tell me that the resort looks different from the pix?

I think u got it all wrong there. That new govt house was styled after the Whitehouse in DC. The lake resort will be another wonder to behold. I think they are doing landscaping now.

I am judging from the prototype of the building and its not quiet amazing.
I like only the raddison blu hotel and conference center and Lg ainds hotel that's why I have been asking of pix from the ongoing hotel at awka.

Some of them who have shops at main market are doing pretty well. I even saw one about last month hawking Chinese android .
They normally use their country's commercial advantage to do business over here via say they already have representative who will make sure they get their goods at cheap rate at china before they import into Nigeria. Some of them have companies while their shops at markets serves as branch while some use their shop for office incase you're interested in 40ft container.

People should migrate to Obosi, Oba(due to its various market) infact, migration should be towards the towns that connects Nnewi and Awka, other towns that doesn't fall into them should be left for agricultural purposes

Oyibo people full Onitsha now. I have been seeing whites all over GRA and parts of 3-3.

Some parts of Gra was occupied by asia men.
I was surprised to see a large chunk of indian people celebrating what is best known to them at Gra sometime ago, I was surprised because they are many in Numbers though some of them will come from outside anambra. The building close to them was occupied by Pakistans.
It was recently I found what's keeping such asian stock(Chinese excluded) in Onitsha ranging from rice business to electronics and some heavy machine parts and components.
Chinese people are in their greater numbers at onitsha not only Gra even housing fegge,industrial layout and some parts of 3-3 but this year they have multiply in number because Nigeria economy and Onitsha economy is on the increase you can virtually see them everywhere, they have even joined Igbo people to rent shops at main market,emeka offor plaza, venn road where they sell small and big generators, water pumping machines and other heavy machines, you can equally see them doing biz at our new electromart. I think I will stop here but in conclusion...
Onitsha and environs are waxing stronger in commercial and industrial activities which define the heavy presence of asians
