Hello house, please I’m just about to apply to University of Plymouth but right now due to ASUU strike getting a Letter of recommendation is confusing. Any suggestion on how to go about that or any other alternative?

find a way to get your lecturers contact/email address preferably those who know you inorder for them to give you audience. Draft your own format of the reference letter stating the school just incase they don’t have theirs. Communicate and Inform them about the reference letter because some schools do reach out to the lecturers to verify.

I sent a mail to tlsikeja regarding walk in service because of recent complain of people getting far appointment dates, this was their reply

I i choose walkin flexi option. It wont give any available date to pick for biometrics and the checkout option is greyed out. But if i remove the walkin flexi option, then july 20th being the next available date shows up.

Almost as if, for now, they want to stop walkin.


Tried it on 2 different laptops. Same thing. Choosing the walkin option wont bring our available date. But the moment u remove the walkin option. Available date surfaces.

if you eventually find a way to get a closer date kindly update us

to be on a safe side use @560, mid this month accessbank used @512 but it has slightly risen above it, it all depends on the exchange rate of the day they finally debit you.

Guys. While reading the thread, I noticed a lot of people are having issues booking a biometric date in ikeja because the available date for now is late july.

I want to ask what alternate route there is to this. What if someone choose vi? And why dont people choose vi? Why is everyone rushing ikeja since vi is a bit free. Pls i'm confused

late july is too far and the date will keep moving forward which isn’t good for september intake, does ikeja tls do walk in? anyone with recent experience with vi tls?

Thanks for informing. How did you come by this information of 20 days cus when I asked, they didn't state the number of days it will take to issue CAS.

They told me when i called to ask how long, they are having a lot of cas request

I sent a mail with the question above about a month ago. Their response came in 20 days later stating that the pof must be 28days not more, not less before you are issued Cas.

I filled the Cas request form about 5 days ago with the requested details but no Cas yet. This means it may take longer to get CAS even after paying deposit and presenting POF.

cas takes about 20working days currently according to the school

If you have money pay 42,000 Naira for walk-in at Ikeja TLS and do your Biometrics tomorrow. It will save you time and your visa may even come out before 26th July.

is walk in always available at ikeja tls?

Dependant received NSF mail asking her to upload pof in her name, whereas pof is in MA’s account, we uploaded two statements of account, the 28days we submitted earlier n the pof till that very day we received NSF and with consent letters.

it took 3 working days for the funds to get to the school after debit, I called the school to confirm payment then they sent their own receipt. I still haven’t received telex

I have been a silent reader of this trend and it really made me to avoid so many mistakes

Dependant application as wifey(MA) already traveled since Feb
Sent paid email 7th of June and laid email response 8th of June that a decision have been taken,that first of all calm my nerves
NOTE: I started my POF 14th march and printed it on the 35th day due to some of my documents that was being delayed which actually increased the the credibility of the account as said by a professional
15th June collection mail
17th collected my passport
You need to me searching for visa vignette stamp

Things I found out on this application
I sent paid email and my visa was approved same day I sent paid email 7th june even after doing biometric 27th April
Another thing that made me scared was in 2007 I was refused uk student visa(kindly note it was not on misinformation nor deception) but I totally forgot to include it in my application ,that got me so scared as someone here have said she was ban for 10yrs for not declaring previous denial but after asking someone they said ECO might just frown at it that's where God's favor comes

I left my POF from 14th march until 17th June when I picked my visa yesterday
Guys pls from my story I did my biometric 27th Apr and visa issue date is 7 June,so. Pls always try and leave funds no matter how long your application is taking
