Health“we Don’t Know Where The Chinese Medical Team Who Came For Assistance Are" - FG by talk2archy(op): 4:01am On May 15, 2020
The Federal Government has said it does not know the whereabouts of the Chinese doctors and technicians who came into the country to offer assistance to Nigeria in the fight against the Coronavirus on the invitation of the government.

The shocking statement by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the containment of the Covid -19 in Abuja on Thursday came one month after the controversial arrival of the Chinese medical team.

When asked specifically the whereabouts of the Chinese medical team at the daily briefing, Ehanire said:

“I want to explain first of all that I think not all of them were doctors and I heard that some of them are technicians, but they are staff of CCECC, the Ministry of health is not their host, so we can’t always explain what happened to them or where they are.

There seems to be a lot of interests in these doctors but they are the staff of a company and I think they are on the company visa. So I will be very happy if you don’t ask me about where they are because they are not really our guests in that sense. But we have been able to learn some things from them by interacting with them from their experience in their country, we shared ideas about what they did in their country in managing Covid -19

The life of a Nigerian Man, Kunle is in trouble after a lady swore to inflict him with madness for dumping her after carrying out 28 abortions for him.

A Nigerian lady has threatened to inflict a certain man with madness after making her have over 28 abortions for him and refused marrying her on grounds that she’s 4 years older than him.

The lady who shared her secrete with a Twitter influencer to post on his timeline revealed she met her man right from childhood.

According to her, she turned down several suitors who asked her hand marriage thinking her man of many years, Kunle was going to marry her.

On an occasion she attempted walking out of the relationship, she revealed Kunle bought a ring worth N500 and got her engaged which she has been wearing for 3 years now.

She said Kunle avoided marriage talks saying he’s not yet buoyant enough to take care of her and kids, a major reason she kept aborting series of pregnancies until she lost count on the 28th.

When Kunle finally agreed to settle down, she said they both fixed a date for her introduction, which he failed to show up with his people on the said day, after they had already made necessary preparations and invited people to grace the occasion.

Writing further, she noted that Kunle’s contacts were switched off and when he finally became reachable, he complained that his parents are against him marrying an older lady, something the lady said he had told her years back it was never going to be a problem.

Enraged by Kunle’s position and his parents’ decision, the lady is now hellbent on seeking vengeance and has sworn to make sure he runs mad.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have shared their opinions. While many, especially ladies supported her decision to make him mad, only few are of contrary opinions.

CelebritiesBREAKING!!! IGP Orders Probe Of E-money, Withdraws Police Escort by talk2archy(op): 11:52am On May 12, 2020
Mohammed Adamu, Inspector-General of Police, has ordered the probe of the Chairman, Five Star Group, Emeka Okonkwo popularly known as E-Money, over his flamboyant lifestyle and flagrant abuse of police escorts, Igbere TV has gathered.

According to The Punch, the Chairman of the Five Star Group, who is the brother to popular singer, Kingsley Okonkwo aka K-Cee, was said to have drawn the attention of the police boss for using policemen like domestic servants.

An order, it was learnt, was immediately issued to the Lagos State Police Command to withdraw the six policemen attached to E-Money.

A top police officer said,

“We received a signal from the Force headquarters on Monday that the police detail of music executive, E-Money, be immediately withdrawn and an investigation into the man be launched.

“The IG was surprised that policemen were attached to him in the first place and were being used like domestic servants, carrying umbrellas, opening doors, and doing menial jobs for him.

“The policemen were discovered to be attached to B Operations at the command headquarters and not MOPOL which is the usual practice. So, we have withdrawn his policemen and we are inviting him for questioning. The policemen will also be interrogated.”

E-Money, who also claims to be a clearing and forwarding agent, is known for his flamboyant lifestyle.

He boasts of two Rolls Royce, two Mercedes Benz G Wagons and other Sports Utility Vehicles worth billions of naira.

The socialite is often seen on social media shaking hands with Very Important Persons including governors, senators, monarchs, ministers, and other top government officials.

When contacted on the telephone, an associate of E-Money, Chidozie Dike, said he was not aware of the development and he believed it was not true.

“I am not aware and I don’t think this is true,” Dike said

PoliticsRivers Hotels Demolition: I Am Utterly Amazed At Wike’s Action – Fani-kayode by talk2archy(op): 6:11pm On May 11, 2020
Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has reacted to the demolition of two hotels for flouting government lockdown order in Rivers State.

The hotels were demolished after it violated an Executive Order on COVID 19, despite warnings from the State government.

He tweeted: “

Two hotels demolished in Port Harcourt because they violated the Governor’s executive order on COVID-19?

“The Governor did not see fit to close down the hotels and arrest the culprits, but instead, he KNOCKED them both down?

“I am utterly amazed!”
Christianity EtcTB Joshua Makes Fresh Prophecy, Reveals What God Says Will Happen After Lockdown by talk2archy(op): 7:42am On May 11, 2020
Prophet T.B Joshua, the founder and General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, has revealed what the people should expect after the coronavirus lockdown.

The cleric said God told him that hard times will follow immediately after the lockdown, advising everyone to cut their coat according to their cloth.

Speaking during a live service on Emmanuel TV on Sunday, T.B Joshua said people around the world should get ready for life after the COVID-19 lockdown.

Joshua said that those who adjust to the new condition of things will be able to overcome and those who are unable to adjust will go by the level of their challenges, with downfall and death being the endpoint.

“If you don’t get your job back or you don’t get a proper job or a full-time job or you run into loss or lose a loved one after this lockdown, don’t despair; don’t doubt your Guard.

“God is about to establish you. Ask any successful man or woman and they will tell you about how much disappointment and setback they had to endure to come to a new level in life.

“For many, it was a sack letter, an accusation, a petition against them and they lost their job – but today they are established. I want to believe the similar signs I am seeing now will happen to many while others may lose loved ones or run into loss.

“I can see beyond many of our situations at hand. That is why I am telling you that behind that situation lies your future. After the lockdown, whatever disappointment you will receive or whatever happens – think deeply and you will see the reason this is happening to you.

“Remember, many successful people today once had the same experience and they were moved to a higher level in life thereby.

“Ordinarily, you would not want to leave your position or status and say you want to establish yourself without a situation like this.

“Something must happen – and that seems to be happening now. Sometimes God allows situations like this – I mean disappointment or something more serious – so that you can take your proper position and possessions. Sometimes it is to enable you to get to where you belong. I know where I belong!

“What is your dark moment? It may be to make you see clearly where you belong, I mean to prepare you for your future. I know where I belong! It is time to know where you belong; that is why all this is happening now.

“Don’t forget everything big starts little. If something big starts big, it calls for concern.

“Starting little with a sincere heart is evidence that you will grow. Everything genuine likes to start little. You have to be ready to start little, cut your coat according to your cloth and endure temporary pain.

“You know what I mean – the type of life you live must be in accordance with little. It may cause you to withdraw from the city to a rural life or to do away with some of your properties.

“You will have them back at the right time but let them go now for preparation to grow. Many things you have now may not be necessary for the journey, may not be relevant to the situation that is coming. Let them go and believe this word you are hearing. It is a word from God.

“Ask your family members to cut their coat according to their clothes. If any of them was living big before, they have to prepare to adjust now to the situation that is coming. Check your store and bring out the things you may need to sell. Right now, you need to be living modestly.

“Women that married men because of affluence or men that married women because of affluence – divorce should not be the order of the day. We just need to adjust.

“You may likely need some new friends because not all of your friends will be able to cope and adjust. The future is still there but only calls for adjustment.

“Many things we are seeing now will go and many new things will come. If you know you got anything by injustice, such will not be able to stand.

“Whatever you might have received by injustice will go. It is only our genuine sweat that will see us through while nature is ready to take its course. God just started this judgment somewhere. It will soon get to me; it will soon get to you. Let us be ready.

“All that I am saying does not mean you are down but this is just what has come in our own time. Every age has its own challenges. People of yesterday had their own challenges in a different way.

“Others have gone through so-called challenges in their own way. Today, those who adjust will be able to overcome and those who are unable to adjust will go by the level of their challenges – down, fall, death.

“Something must happen every 100 years to affect the whole world. This is what has happened in our own lifetime. It has been like that for generations. Those who respond to the demands of the age will end up as overcomers, victors, winners.

“However, those who fail to respond to the demands appropriately will eventually go down with the times, either by disappointment, failure, death. It is unchangeable; it must happen.

“The nature of the challenge may be different. Irrespective of how it happened, the nation that caused it, the person that caused it – it had to happen; something just had to cause it.

“By the ending of June to the first week of July, this will begin to become a point of reference: ‘This man said this; that man said it’ – but it is God that said it.”

PoliticsEFCC Should Apologize To Orji Uzor Kalu And Not Retrial Him – Enugu State APC Re by talk2archy(op): 11:15am On May 09, 2020
The Enugu State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to tender an apology to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

NAIJALOADED reports that Kalu who had been in prison custody following conviction by a High Court has now been set free by the apex court in the land.

Reacting to the development, the Chairman of the Party in the State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, said the former Abia Governor “deserves an apology from EFCC not a re-prosecution.”

While describing Kalu as “our leader, an Igbo icon”, Nwoye said

“today, more than ever before, our trust in the Nigerian judicial system has deepened. It took the court to right the wrong of another court. This victory stands as a testimony that the court is indeed the last hope for both a common man and uncommon man.”

He added that

“injustice to a common man is equally as painful as injustice to an uncommon man. We are happy to know that your determination has pulled you through.

“We are comforted by your exemplary determination to change the criminal justice system to ensure that no innocent person shall suffer unlawful incarceration in our nation.

“God has used five months of your productive and youthful life to expose over half a century decay in our criminal justice system. We thank God and we thank the learned jurists for giving you back your freedom.

“We respectfully demand that the EFCC should render an apology to you for wrongful prosecution.

“It is a time for deep reflection on the part of EFCC and not a time to make puffy statements regarding further prosecution. One wrong prosecution has already resulted in five months of unlawful incarceration.”

On plans by the EFCC to re-arraign the lawmaker in court, the Party Chairman said,

“H.E Senator Kalu deserves an apology from EFCC not a re-prosecution.

“We respectfully request that EFCC should channel its resources to the prosecution of backlogs of other cases instead of engaging in vindictive repeat prosecution of an Igbo Icon.

“We are calling on the Senate and House Committee on Judiciary to investigate the facts and circumstances that led to the malicious prosecution and unlawful incarceration of Distinguished Senator Orji Uzo Kalu.

“The good people of Enugu State and indeed the entire Nigerian people would like to know how an Appeal Court Justice stepped down from his upper chambers and sneaked into a lower court room and handed out an unlawful criminal conviction against a serving Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“The key question that begs the answer is, ‘was it a mistake or was it a political witchhunt?’ We fear that it is the latter.

“Once again, I and on behalf of the good people of Enugu State APC welcome back our hero. You are the Mandela of our time. Nigerian people look forward to enjoying the quality representation you brought in the red chamber.”

Politics‘Kim Jong Un’s Death Could Be Announced This Weekend’–North Korean Defector Says by talk2archy(op): 2:27pm On May 01, 2020
A North Korean defector has said he is ’99 per cent sure’ that Kim Jong Un is dead, and that Pyongyang is likely going to announce his death this weekend.

Ji Seong-ho, a defector who was elected to the South’s parliament earlier this year, told South Korea’s Yonhap news agency that he had been ‘informed that Kim died last weekend’ after cardiovascular surgery.

The defector said Kim’s sister Kim Yo-jong, who was named an alternate member of the ruling Workers’ Party’s powerful Central Committee Politburo last month, was in line to succeed her brother but added that the secretive state was ‘grappling with a complicated succession issue’?

Ji also said that Pyongyang could announce the death of Kim this weekend.

‘I’ve wondered how long he could have endured after cardiovascular surgery. I’ve been informed that Kim died last weekend,’ he said.

‘It is not 100 per cent certain, but I can say the possibility is 99 per cent. North Korea is believed to be grappling with a complicated succession issue.’

Kim has not been seen in public since April 11 and failed to attend an event that honored his grandfather, Kim Il Sung on April 15, sparking speculation about his health, but Seoul and Washington have played down claims that he is seriously ill or dead.

Several reports said he underwent a life-saving heart surgery, which either wasn’t done rapidly enough, or it was botched completely by the surgeon.

PoliticsTwo Lorries From Kano To Kaduna Transporting Human & Livestock Intercepted by talk2archy(op): 7:34pm On Apr 30, 2020
Security officials at the Kaduna-Kano border prevented the vehicles from entering the state.

The lorries were said to have slipped through the security checks at the border, sneaking in their human cargo concealed behind livestock, motorcycles and other goods.

“We got information that these lorries had come in from the Kaduna-Kano border and had progressed up to Gwargwaji in Zaria LGA.

"We then proceeded to nab them further along within the same local government,” Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said.

He added, “The passengers were cleverly concealed behind random goods, motorcycles and animals.

"Thankfully, once again we have got the better of them, and we have turned them back in compliance with the Kaduna State Government’s ban on inter-state travel.

“Operatives are actively enforcing the directives at all entry points, and passengers have similarly been intercepted from other routes and escorted out to the borders.”

The ban on interstate travel is one of the measures taken by the Kaduna State Government to curb the spread of COVID 19, and has been vigorously enforced by security agencies at the state’s borders.

PoliticsFather Rejects Son Video: Fayemi Suspends Aide by talk2archy(op): 12:47pm On Apr 30, 2020
Ekiti State Government has ordered the indefinite suspension of one Sola Durodola, a member of the Covid-19 Task Force over incompetence and highhandedness.

It was gathered that Durodola shot a video where he was making a mockery of the father, a former road safety officer who had come to report his son, for violating the stay at home order.

In the video, Durodola who is not a health official also certified the suspect as free of covid-19 a situation that generated negative reactions.

The Commissioner for Information and Value Orientation, Mr Muyiwa Olomilua, in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti yesterday, frowned at the unprofessional conduct of the security agent, whom it said did not have the authority to make such statement.

The government statement reads in part, “The attention of the Ekiti State Covid-19 Taskforce has been drawn to a video clip in circulation where a man refused to allow his son, who just

returned from a trip outside the state, into his house until he had been isolated for 14 days as stipulated by NCDC protocol for preventing community spread of COVID-19 in Ekiti State.

“The Taskforce commends Mr Femi Adeoye, for refusing to cover-up his son’s travel history and for denying him access into the house without confirming his COVID-19 status.

Mr Adeoye epitomizes the Ekiti ethos of selflessness, which places a greater premium on the collective good of the society above personal and emotional considerations. This is the core of the Values Orientation policy of the Fayemi-led Administration.

“We also consider it necessary to inform members of the public that the video was recorded about four days ago, by one of the security men attached to the Fajuyi Pavilion, where the Enforcement Taskforce uses as its base for coordination of daily operations.

The security man who recorded the encounter is neither a health worker nor qualified or authorized to determine the health status of the young man. So, none of his actions or misstatements reflects the capacity or preparedness of the State Taskforce to combat the COVID-19 virus.

” The officer in question has been suspended pending further investigations, for acting outside the jurisdiction of his scope of authority.

“Following the encounter, the young man has been in the custody of the State for the past 4 days and has since been taken to one of the designated quarantine centres, where he would be for 14 days, in line with a laid down procedure that dictates that anyone who sneaks into the State, would be quarantined for fourteen (14) days, at their own cost. His samples will also be taken for testing in order to ensure he has not been infected in the course of his travels to high incidence areas of the country.

“We implore members of the public to emulate the patriotic zeal of Mr Adeoye, and promptly report to the Ekiti State Covid-19 Taskforce, any out-of-State traveller who sneaks into their neighbourhood, or places of abode. This is to safeguard against the likely health hazard that such returnees portend for the larger society.

PoliticsNigeria Tells Citizens To Search For Local Medicine For Coronavirus by talk2archy(op): 10:29am On Apr 30, 2020
The Nigerian government has urged its citizens to take ownership of the initiatives for non pharmaceutical interventions against coronavirus with strict adherence to public health advisories.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, said this on Wednesday in Abuja, at the 22nd joint national briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

This is as he also said that as of Wednesday, 29th April, 2020; 1,532 people have been confirmed to have COVID-19. The minister said a record 825 tests were done with 195 new cases identified, a high number that is distributed as 80 in Lagos, 38 in Kano, 15 each in Bauchi and Ogun, 11 in Borno, 10 in Gombe, nine in Sokoto, five each in Edo and Jigawa, two in Zamfara and one each in Delta, Enugu, Nasarawa, Rivers and FCT.

He said: “255 persons have been successfully treated for COVID-19 and discharged, and sadly, 44 deaths have been recorded.

“The increasing figure of confirmed cases underscores the ongoing community transmission, which is a major challenge and again necessitates a call on all citizens not to take this COVID-19 lightly; but to take ownership of the initiatives for non pharmaceutical interventions with strict adherence to public health advisories, maintain social distance, practice hand and respiratory hygiene, avoid crowded places and wear your mask or a face covering when you leave your house.”

Ehanire said these and other related measures are critical, and an integral part of the strategy to ease restrictions as from 4th of May and that failure to comply can have undesirable effects.

The minister added that there was the need to provide and prepare isolation centers and more bed spaces in all states of the federation, appealing to each state authority and the FCT to give first line attention to this requirement in order to meet expectations and obligations.

He said:

“As testing ramps up, the need will become more and more obvious. It should therefore be prioritized, so that we are not taken by surprise.

I should take the opportunity to request Distinguished Senators, Hon. members of Houses of Representatives and Assemblies to also get involved in the disease surveillance and notification efforts in their constituencies and to actively support the drive to rapidly increase bed spaces for Isolation and treatment in their States.

“I shall also strongly urge those who test positive for COVID-19 to cooperate with the directives of authorities, on isolation, so as not to constitute a risk and a cause for public concern.”

He said the government had completed plans to start training and capacity building of much needed intensive care workforce for various parts of the country.

The minister also said that the Federal Government’s team to Kano State had commenced work and were well received by the state governor and have been able to conduct an appraisal of the situation and start working on outlines of providing technical support to the state’s COVID-19 task force in several aspects.

Kano has been in the news after hundreds of deaths were recorded in the past week from an unidentified illness. Consequently, President Muhammadu Buhari ordered a complete lockdown of the state last Monday for two weeks, promising to provide technical supports to unravel the cause of the deaths.

HealthFace Masks Made Of Clothes Don’t Prevent You From Contracting Disease – NAFDAC by talk2archy(op): 9:01am On Apr 28, 2020
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has said the use of non-medical face masks, which include self-made or commercial masks or face covers made of clothes,

only reduce and not prevent the spread of diseases.

The agency in a statement released today said face masks made with cotton materials are more effective.

The statement in part reads Non-medical face masks include self-made or commercial masks or face covers made of cloth, other textiles or other materials such as paper.

They are not standardized and are not intended for use in healthcare settings or by healthcare professionals.

They serve to limit the spread of droplets and offer some measure of protection to those around you. The material of construction is usually cloth(textile fabric), non-woven wadding, or paper-like materials.

For these Barrier Masks, 100% cotton is preferred though, polyester, linen or knit fabric can be used.

Simple test: If wearer can put off a flame from a cigarette lighter that is placed in front of the wearer, the mask is protective enough barrier face masks do not prevent you from contracting disease but, they have been found to contribute to reduce spread of infections when used widely in conjunction with other measures.

Such measures include social distancing, not touching the face, eyes or mouth, washing of hands with soap for 20 secs or use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

These face masks are recommended to be washed daily and preferably should be a double layer of fabric to increase the absorbency and effectiveness.

It must be noted that several washes, drying and stretching of the mask over time reduce the effectiveness of the mask.” the statement read

The agency came out with the clarification as different state governments and the Federal government has announced the compulsory use of face mask as the nation continues to fight against the spread of COVID-19.

CelebritiesI Go Dye, Donates His Mansion To Federal Govt As An Corona Isolation Center by talk2archy(op): 12:24pm On Apr 22, 2020
Comedian, Francis Agoda aka I Go Dye, has announced plans to donate his mansion to the Federal government to be used as an Isolation center as the nation continues to battle the Coronavirus pandemic.

The comedian says he is worried by the increasing number of COVID19 cases recorded each day and as such, is donating his mansion as his own contribution towards the efforts of the government to control, prevent, isolate and treat those diagnosed or to be treated in future.

He also called on the Federal government to implement a two weeks total lockdown so as to curb the spread of the ravaging viral disease.

He wrote

I’M DONATING MY NEW FAPOH ROYAL SEAL MANSION TO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA TO USE IT AS AN ISOLATION CENTRE.

Humanity will overcome all its challengens only if we are willing to let go of the things we are not using for now for the benifit of others.

In view of the increasing cases of #coronavirus patients in Nigeria, and the few screening centres available for now, I’m deeply worried.

We will be making humanitarian sacrifices towards contributing our selfless deeds to control the escalating records of the #coronavirus as predicted by WHO.

When I wrote an open letter to Mr President on the 5th of Apri 2020 on how we can control the spread of the covid-19, it was only 210 cases, today it moving towards a thousand.

We should be proactive if we hope to win this global war, that has no boundaries,no discrimination and unfortunately indestructible for now.

Against this backdrop, and the ongoing lockdown, the few services left has been put on hold at the ongoing FAPOH Royal Seal Mansion project site.

I feel convinced to donate this my new FAPOH Royal Seal Mansion to the Federal Government to used as an isolation centre, as my personal quest to assist in the control, prevention, isolation and treatment of those diagnosed or to be treated in the course of us finding a lasting solution.

This donation will stand as a gift to humanity, till we find a solution which will once again set us free from the shackles of this incurable disease.I am appealing to Nigerians to take this matter seriously because COVID-19 is real as it has claimed over one million lives in all parts of the world.

The hardship is really getting harder, it may jeopardize the progress of controlling the spread of the virus.

The federal government must provide adequate palliatives for all Nigerians, till this disease becomes a thing of the past.

I also appeal for a two-week total lockdown to enable the government treat existing cases and curb further spread by those who may have contracted the COVID-19.

This lockdown will control all forms of movement and socialization between individuals or groups. May God see us through these dark moments. Amb Francis Agoda

PoliticsNO WAY!! Federal Government Blocks 5 Governors From Leaving Nigeria by talk2archy(op): 9:42pm On Apr 21, 2020
Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has revealed that he has denied five governors flight approval, since the closure of the airports and the lockdown order by President Muhammadu Buhari to curb the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to Sirika, three out of the four governors are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Two of the governors are from the South-east, two from South-south, while one was from North-central.

Sirika disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday, at the daily press briefing by members of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.

“Every single flight that we approved and will be approved will be an essential flight and 98 percent of the essential flight will be connected to COVID-19.

“A few of them, maybe 1 percent may be either repatriation, requests from the diplomatic community, which must go through foreign affairs, or repatriation due to illness of another kind which will be medical-kind and those evacuations will also need a stamp of a teaching hospital.

“However, I want to share with you a discussion I had on Twitter with someone when I said we will not be able to open our airports and airspace as a result of the extension of the lockdown for normal operations and someone said; “Kindly stop all the VIPs shuttle going on. It makes no sense to lock citizens up and allow governors to stroll in and out of Abuja. In the first instance, they carried this virus into Nigeria and now running around is not Okay.” I said to the person that I agree with him but whatever is approved or whoever is approved to fly privately, governor or no governor is on an essential flight and it is addition and 98 percent is related to COVID-19.

“There is no exception to governors. I have denied several of such flights. Including two governors from South-south, two from South-east and by the way, three of them are members of the APC and I think one is from North-central.

“For a flight to be approved, it shows that it is diligently done. It must be essential, COVID-19 related or other essential flights like cargo that will bring in medicines or equipment or other things related to COVID-19 or our whole well-being like food.

“Please trust us and bear with us for this period but it will end soon by God’s grace,” he said.
