dedeike: Mr president, I believe you. And I have never been ashamed nor afraid to say it.
You are bringing something new and refreshing to governance. Under your watch, we are beginning to experience new frontiers in the art of governance.

We are beginning to see openness and transparency at its peak. Before you came, NNPC and allied oil agencies were ran like secret cults. No body knew how much was paid as subsidy or the faces behind importation. Subsidy payments were drawn as first line charge, no appriopration whatsoever. Today, we have not only seen the faces of the cabal but we have seen them being dragged to court.  Your govt has given us the first comprehensive legislation on Energy sector as PIB. Your govt is repairing our refineries and executed PPP with Vulcan for 6 new ones.

You are reforming poower. Refurbishing power plants and pursuing privatisation of PHCN. In one year, you have recorded an all time high generation of 4,477 megawatts as evidenced in the links below

You are renovating all our major international airports with Enugu shut down completely for overhaul, domestic wing of Abuja airports too. The works include massive upgrade of runways and all airport facilities.

You are sanitizing our ports, withdrawing 9 parasitic agencies from the wharfs thereby easing the clearing of goods
You are starting 9 new federal universities in one year, 2 law school campuses in Yola and Yenogoa, increased funding to 400 billion, setting up Almajiri school systems, settled all outstanding issues with ASUU thereby reducing strikes. Upgrade of lectures retirement age from 65 to 70.
Minimum wage increment for workers and corpers.

Spearheading Agricultural reforms and fertilizer redistribution and the cassava initiative which is largely misunderstood by the unintelligent.
reviving our railways. Commenced phase II of the Lagos- Kano. With Abuja-Kaduna at 30% ongoing.

Through your minister of finance, you re entrenching fiscal discipline and insisting that all projects must pass through due process causing corrupt politicians to threaten impeachment.
They say you should have implemented 100% a budget that was only passed in April all because you insist that the era of racketeering with constituency projects are gone.
Omo U have said it all. If u are still perplex about all this achievements go and Hug transformer.

PoliticsDon’t Demolish Mpape, AGF Warns Bala Mohammed by talk2cj08(op): 7:28pm On Aug 16, 2012
The Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke, has advised the Federal Capital Territory  ministry to ‘put on hold’ the planned demolition of Mpape, a populous suburb of Abuja.
The advice was contained in a letter, to the FCT Minister dated August 16, 2012, made available to PREMIUM TIMES.
The Attorney General advised the FCT minister to suspend the planned demolition pending the determination of a suit before an FCT High Court contesting the exercise.
“All proposed actions be stayed in respect of the subject matter pending the determination of the substantive suit and any appeal arising therefrom,” Abdulahi Yola, Solicitor of the Federation and permanent secretary of the Justice Ministry said in the letter.
Mr Yola said the justice minister asked for a halt in the demolition “in consonant with this administration’s avowed commitment to the enthronement of rule of law.”
Mr. Adoke’s advice follows a petition written to the AGF’s office by human rights lawyer, Femi Falana.

PoliticsPresidency Agrees With El-rufai On Boko Haram Types by talk2cj08(op): 8:06am On Aug 16, 2012
The Presidency through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, Monday morning, said there are three categories of Boko Haram operating in Nigeria.
Mr. Okupe who spoke during a televised interview on the African Independent Television listed the three categories of Boko Haram as the religious one, the criminal, and the political.
These were the same categories of Boko Haram listed by opposition leader of the Congress of Progressive Change (CPC), Nasir El-Rufai.
Mr. Okupe however disagreed with Mr. El-Rufai on who the sponsors of the political Boko Haram are, insinuating that they were being sponsored by the opposition.

Boko Haram, FG, in talks, VOA reports http:///MWIaec
A man, who claims to be the deputy leader of the Boko Haram, says the sect is in negotiation with the Federal Government.
By Sani Tukur
The continuous violence in the Northern part of Nigeria, carried out by the Jama’atu ahlis sunnah lil da’awati wal wal jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram, may cease; reports by the Voice of America (VOA), Hausa service, state.
The VOA, in a report on Tuesday, quoted one Abu Mohammed, who claims to be the second in command of the sect, saying that negotiations have already commenced with the government, with a view to restoring peace in the northern part of the country.
Mr. Mohammed contacted a VOA reporter in Mecca, via the telephone, where he said the sect is ready to stop all attacks during the period of negotiations, as long as the Federal government is “serious and sincere.”
The self proclaimed Boko Haram deputy leader said the sect decided to enter into the negotiations with government, based on calls by prominent Northern leaders on the need to restore peace to the nation.
Sources close to the Federal Government also told the news agency that talks had begun with the sect.
Sect warns impersonators
Mr. Mohammed also warned those he referred to as “politicians and armed robbers” who hide under the name of the sect to perpetrate various crimes.
He said the group would focus its attention on “those persons who are giving them bad image.”
Mr. Mohammed’s statement on impersonators appears a confirmation of what the Presidency believes.
The Presidency, through the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, Monday, confirmed that there were three categories of the Boko Haram sect: the religious (official Boko Haram), the criminal one, and the political group.
One of many
Mr. Mohammed’s statement is one of numerous ones stating that negotiations between the sect and the FG have commenced. He is not a known member of the sect, has never issued a statement, nor spoken on behalf of the terrorist group in the past.
Though Premium Times could not independently confirm Mr. Mohammed’s membership of the group, or whether negotiations are in existence, sources close to the group told PREMIUM TIMES that the leadership of the sect usually goes to Mecca for the Umrah (lesser hajj) and Hajj activities.
“There was even a time that Abubakar Shekau (the sect’s leader) prayed two rows behind the Vice President (Namadi Sambo) in Mecca,” a source, knowledgeable about the group’s activities, stated.
Perhaps coincidentally, Mr. Sambo is at present in Mecca for the lesser hajj.
While the sect admitted to a first round of talks (which broke down) between the government and a group under the leadership of Datti Ahmad, The National President of the Supreme Council for Sharia’ah in Nigeria; it has consistently denied any other report of dialogue with the government.
In a recent video posted on you tube about a fortnight ago; the sect’s leader, Mr. Shekau, foreclosed any possibility of dialogue with the government.
While Ahmed Dasuki, the National Security Adviser, has stepped up efforts to negotiate with the group, the sect has become more daring and vicious in its attacks across Northern states particularly during the ongoing Islamic month of Ramadan.
It is therefore, not clear if the present announcement is indeed from the leadership of the Boko Haram.

Olanlere11: Yesterday in Abuja, Arewa Elder called on GEJ to defuse political tension in the country by renouncing any intention he might have to stand for re-election in 2015. Speaking onbehalf of ACF, Alhaji Ahmed Joda who served as permanent secretary in the 1970s, advised the President to publicly announce that he won’t go for it so as to dampen political tension created by the suspense over his candidacy.C
“(The) President should defuse the present political tension that now pervades the country. This should begin with his renouncing any intention he may have of contesting the 2015 elections and devoting his entire time, energy and the resources of the country in order to give Nigeria a credible and acceptable Constitution; a free, transparent and fair election,” he said in a statement in Abuja.
Jona, a former chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission during the tenure of then-President Olusegun Obasanjo, said also that Jonathan “should restructure his cabinet; appoint more credible people; complete his present mandate to continue the work of governing the country to preside over a free, fair and transparent general election in 2015 and step aside"
It is apparent that the only tension that has overwhelmed Nigerians is the fear of being attacked by Boko Haram. If Arewa consultative forum is calling for the withdrawal of GEJ's candidacy come 2015, will they now call their boys to order? So ACF IS BEHIND BOKO HARAM? I need more explanation

RomanceWOW!!! This Is Simply Amazing Just Had To Share This Story CONTINUE..... by talk2cj08(op): 10:13am On Jul 31, 2012
My name is Dayo. I’m a typical Nigerian guy
and I cherish my Fridays a lot; I get to hang
out with the sickest guys every Friday night
and secondly, It’s another escape from my
nagging and boring wife. I get confused
sometimes on whether she’s my mother or
my wife. Don’t get it twisted; I love her
pieces. It just gets complicated; like I wish
we never got married…marriage has turned
her into something that doesn’t amuse me. I
wish she was still the adventurous,
charming, high spirited lady I dated for five
years.
A lot of people say its unethical for
married guys to be found in a club, but I
wish everyone won’t be too quick to judge
and understand that people look for fun to
run away from their problems; they just
want to breathe, like me.
I forgot to say that I work in Guarantee
Trust Bank along Lekki, I love my job and
my job loves me, maybe its because I’m the
senior banking officer. Lol. This particular
morning, a lady breezed into my office. My
heart raced faster because I had not
sighted anything this beautiful in a long
while. She wasn’t the typical slender Barbie,
in fact, she was a bit chubby but her smile,
cuteness and…I was tripped.
“Hi Good morning! Your ATM has swallowed
my card!” She laughed, unlike a typical
customer that would ram you.
I just tried to form Boss laughter…
“Good morning, You know what? I’d
personally make sure they get it out for
you, but not today. Can you wait till
Monday?” I smiled
“GTB shaaa! OK, can I just drop my number
so you could call me up or just text when
its ready so I don’t come twice? Please? My
name is Nancy” She blinked her eyes in a
funny way.
“Sure” I smiled
We exchanged numbers. What a lucky
Friday!
So it was 10:00pm and I headed to the
club…as usual my friends were chilling for
me. My wife had called a couple of times, I
just ignored it. She knows I’m never home
Friday nights.
“Look at you!” I heard someone say. I raised
my head. and it was the ATM lady-Nancy.
“Wow, look at you too!” I was surprised to
see her but I was happy I didn’t have to wait
till Monday to see her again.
“Happy Friday!” She screamed because of
the noise, “Wanna dance?”
I didn’t even have the chance to answer, she
already pulled me to dance floor. I really
suck at dancing but she helped me; she was
a great dancer! I had fun! At some point we
decided to go to a private area and we
talked, ranging from work, business to
personal life. I tried to hide my ring as
much as possible, I certainly didn’t want
this to end now.
“You are a really wonderful lady. You are so
interesting…any guy would want to be with
you all day” I said.
“I wasn’t always like this but I have learned
the hard way that life is just too short to
be sad” she sang
Then her phone rang…
“Hey baby! Yeah I’m at the private lounge,
I’d like you to meet someone…alright boo”
she talked excitedly as usual.
I was in shock until this tall handsome man
walks up to her and kisses her.
“You were late. Meet Dayo; I met him this
morning, he’s helping with your ATM I told
you got swallowed and Dayo this is my B to
the O-O,” she laughed “Meet my husband
Kolade, we only come here to dance every
fortnight Friday; away from work, stress
and kids.”
“Wow, a pleasure” I managed to shake him
Then she stood now excitedly holding her
husband’s arms.
“Why don’t we invite Dayo for Mimi’s 16th
birthday tomorrow?” Her husband said
They have kids too? How long have they
been married and they look like a couple
just dating!
“Silly me, please come for my second
daughter’s 16th tomorrow. It would be an
honor” She brought out an I.V from her
purse.
I began to feel so ashamed of myself…this
was another guy like me, getting it right
with one woman.
I collected the I.V and promised to be
there.
“See you tomorrow! Have you had
something to eat Kolade?” she talked and
dragged her husband along. They left and I kept staring at the thin air
like I had seen a ghost. They come just to
dance together every fortnight Fridays?
Why didn’t I think of that! Temi loves to
dance…she also likes long walks, she loves
to talk…she loves jazz music, there’s this
vivid picture I have of me putting her hand
on my chest when we danced at a jazz club
on our first year anniversary…I found
myself typing all the things I knew Temi
loved to do on my Ipad and I realized I had
denied her of all…I had made her the old
woman she acts.
What the hell was I doing here! I didn’t even
tell my friends goodbye, I walked out of
the club into my Jaguar. Temi’s call came
through and I picked at first ring.
“Temi?” My heart raced
“I know you are not coming home…”
“I am, stay up so we can gist. Been a while” I
decided to do everything on that list and to
even add many more for the rest of my
lifetime with her.
“Are you alright?” She was shocked I
suppose
“And I’d like us to go for a birthday party
tomorrow. I want you to meet this amazing
couple”
“You sound different Dayo”
“Maybe I’m different”
“Don’t say it! don’t say it! when you come
we will gist very well” she laughed
She laughed!!! In just that laughter that I
hadn’t heard in a while, she sounded like
the lady I married six years ago…
Dear reader,
I wrote this natural piece just to remind us
that creating memorable moments with our
partner matters. Do you know that little
things are the sweetest things? Just
creating time to gist and laugh with your
partner, having a day in the week that’s
exclusively for you both-No friends or kids
allowed.
Lady, when last have you told your partner
he is so darn hot? Guy! When last have you
told your lady she is the sweetest thing?
When last have you whispered ‘Thank you’?
When last have you been quick to say ‘I’m
sorry’?
Do you even have a clue on what your
partner loves to do?
When you ignore little things, they are the
little pieces of rocks that build up to
become a mountain you can’t easily break
down

President Barack Obama says:  ’My biggest mistake since getting to the White House three and a half years ago has been my tendency to tackle the job as national policy wonk rather than the inspiring figure I cut in the 2008 campaign’.
“When I think about what we’ve done well and what we haven’t done well,” the president told CBS television in an interview, “the mistake of my first term – couple of years – was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right.”
“And that’s important. But the nature of this office is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times,” Obama said in an excerpt of the exchange with Charlie Rose.
