I registered at Educational Advancement Centre(EAC) at Housing-Bodija rd. Ibadan.It cost me N19,100(registration fee) + N400(Passport photograph) = N19,500(Total).
The January registration has passed unless you have to visit GIEVA in Lagos before 18/12.It is even cheaper, it is around 14k but consider transport fare.
The March exam registration is in progress.
Whichever one you choose to do; pls go ahead.

I don't hav d SAT book yet, b'cos d guy told me to pay 5k; but if you can pay, then contact him.
I was given a small SAT booklet when registering which contains some tips & questions(Although,it is not enough to prepare 4 the exam).
I do visit collegeboard site to answer the daily question.
I will get some books this week to study.

I can't judge your answers to the VO questions but i must tell you that ur answers are nt been specific(they are long).
You can see that the vo asked u "why UAFS..." again after "why IT at UAFS ?"
I don't think it was the Bank stat. but ur response.
Then you need at least 1 standardize test.

Yvete: To qualify for Intl scholarships, you must write SAT & TOEFL, show proof of admission to a 4-yr College and also prepare to write excellent essays as required. I donno how to send PM on Nairaland. Perhaps I could send you 3 scholarship links privately.
There are more scholarships for women in technical/engineering fields though. I applied for the AAUW this year.

dnpasion: Went for my second interview today in lagos and the black american guy interviewed me but got denied again. I'm so sad and even got depressed ever than before.I wasn't nervous today and I gave all my answers without fear. Anyway here is how it all went:-
Vo: Good Afternoon
Me: Good Afternoon
Vo: What are you going to do in the U.S?
Me: To Study
Vo: Major?
Me: Computer Science
Vo: Did you apply to other schools?
Me: Yes and I named them
Vo: Why those schools?
Me: Told him
Vo: Why XYZ uni?
Me: An academic excellence in a christ centered environment and the skool information technology department provide world class information resources,telecommunications,computing,networking tools and services to students to facilate learning and research.
Vo: Did you write SAT?
Me: Sir (didn't hear what he asked)?
Vo: Did you write SAT?
Me: No because it wasn't part of the school admission requirement
Vo: What?
Me: I repeated myself again
Vo: how come u get admitted?
Me: told him I got admitted because I have a good O'level results and High School Transcript.
Vo: When did you finished from High?
Me: 2009
Vo: What have you been doing since then?
Me: Doing a voluntary job as a secretary at my dad's company.
Vo: Typing and the next thing I heard is that (Sorry I can't grant you).

House this is how it all went but I believe I was denied because I didn't write SAT. I don't know what to do now because I'm so depressed and sad.

I guess you should hav given him a SHORT & DETAIL answer after asking you why that univ.? Who knws ? maybe that was why he asked for SAT, becos he might be expecting you to summarise your anwsers in a SPECIFIC form.
But in all ways, God knws BETTER.
pls next time, don't try to use the word "World Class" if your univ. is nt well recognize.

mr swagger: @talkD, you definately need SAT for scholarship.. No school in US will give you scholarship without SAT, you even need it also when applying for Visa.

Secondly, it's not all about just taking the SAT, it's about studying hard for it and passing it. It took me 7 months to prepare hard for the SAT and thank God my efforts were not in vain. I hope u r prepared. If you have a high score with good GPA, you will probably have a high amount of scholarship.

I have some SAT textbooks I used to prepare for the exam, I could give out to you. Let me know if you are interested. I did my SAT last month and I did brillantly well, just waiting for God's favour and take-over. Cheers

19k plus.For Nigerians, Registration for Jan. 26 exam closes on Wednesday, 5th of Dec.After that, another exam is in May,2013.

Pls do i need to take SAT before i can get a UG scholarship or grant?

Everything(issuance+sending) together is 5000 Naira only, no Kobo but try to hold extra cash.
Then, you have to take the other requirement(passport photo., copy of result, institution's address(where u re sending to), Attestation letter from High sch(May/June exam only) along.
Note: If you stay at Ibadan, you will have to visit the Lagos office to apply.

Your sch should hav a website and if not, they MUST have a phone no.

Hi everyone, i went to WAEC to request for transcript and was told, they send out "confirmation of result" .Fine!
The issue am having is that, the university am applying to, requires academic record/TRANSCRIPT to be sent by WES(evaluation service) and i notice that WES do not require High school transcript(as required doc) for Secondary Education category.
Can someone figure out what am not getting right? Thanks
