Me just saying what I know... Yes, DPR HR department have shown high level of unprofessionalism especially at the end of this whole process. But I still don't think this unprofessionalism is enough grounds to tag the process 'not merit based'. I had my interview on the 12th of December, but I knew that I'll be getting the job since 11th December. My God told me that I'll get this job even before the interview. Call me TOOOOO HOPEFULLY, or RELIGIOUS 'FANTASTIC' abi na fanatic self, I don't care. But this is my message: so long as I've not been contacted, it means nobody on Merit/Grace/Favor list have been contacted. So if you are hopping to be in any of the above list, then trust me, no cause for alarm yet. We'll hear from them soon. I also observed that in between the Stakeholders list and Merit/Grace/Favor list is Critical/Hopeless list. So you decide where to pitch your tent. By the way, I'm preparing a pot of delicious and aromatic beans... I don't know if anyone is interested especially @hammer2010 ![]() |
HMMMMMM!!!! Hardship abi...? Yet with your two legs and hands, with breathe running freely through your nostril. Don't worry, it now you'll know hardship Senseless brain. |

Onyiridike:My sister, keep your emotions to yourself and use your head. If you happened to be among the successful, DPR will need you to use your head when ensuring that oil firms and stations complies to their rules and regulations, and not your emotions. All you've said remains mere emotions and not fact. DPR did not stop any applicant from moving on with their lives, it only those who chooses not to move on due to their awareness of how juicy landing a job in DPR is. Whatever the reason(s) for the delay may be, the fact remains that DPR is not done with the process yet, and when they do, successful ones will be contacted. May the delay be in our favor in Jesus Name. |
suchsland:So you don become his boy now, just because he said he was asked a question... , some Nigerians sha...Woe to him who put his trust in a mortal man.... Said the Holy Bible oooo, not me |
Why I comment self? By the way, prophet of what is he? |

Getting a job is a major challenge of most graduates in Nigeria today. This challenge is even amplified when graduates begins to hunt only for jobs of their dreams. The reality is, such jobs are not easy to come by; there are not those kind of jobs advertised on job boards and vacancy sites on weekly or even monthly basis. And if you get lucky, and you are going for such job interviews or even any job interview, you know you should prepare to answer the interviewer's questions about your background, education and work experience. But above that, you should be ready to also ask the right questions when your interviewer turns the table over to you. In such instances, while you should ask questions specific to the position applied, and generally related to the organization's work environments, here are 5 questions you should never ask your interviewer. https://www.careerportal.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/5-Questions-You-Should-Never-Ask-During-a-Job-Interview.jpg 5 Questions You Should NEVER ASK During a Job Interview 1. What does your company do? As a rule of thumb, you should never ask you interviewer what his company does. I mean, even though you sent out 'random job application, you still should not ask what the company does on the interview seat. Generally, you are expected to do your researches and home works very well before going for a job interview. Ensure that your home works should include detailed history of the company, which should include what the company does. As a candidate, ensure you are passionate enough about an organization before the day of your interview. Instead of asking what you do, you can alternatively ask question like; 'What exciting project is your company currently working on'? 2. Why should I work for your company? Really... Why should you work for my company? You don't know why you should work for my company, yet you applied? Most candidates are tempted to asking this particular question when S/he begins having the feelings of possessing better qualification and experience than the position/organization requires.Well, nothing is wrong in displaying your confidence, but remember that one most important key to acing job interview is your humility. Your employer/interviewer might tag you 'too pompous' when you begin projecting much of your personal achievements during the interview. Instead of asking why you should work for the company, you could alternatively ask 'what life is truly like at the company'. 3. How long will it take me to get promoted? Surely, you'll be promoted, so don't get too curious about it to the point of your interview. Organizations have different mode of operations and uses different factors for promotion. For example, a sales and marketing oriented company's promotion might depend highly on the performance of each staff rather than staff's qualifications and experience. Think of it; how can the HR officer know how long before you get promoted in a company such as above?. It is also worth nothing that the decision to promoting a staff might/does not lies with the HR department alone. So instead of asking how long before promotion comes, you could tactically ask something like 'How have you been able to progress your career here?" 4. What the benefits package is like? It is one thing for your interviewer to ask how much you would want to be paid for your services to the organization, but it entirely another thing for you to be asking on the pay and benefits packages of the organization. This is the rule; as a job applicant, it's not a good idea to ask about salary, benefits, hours or flexibility during your interview. Instead of asking your interviewer the above question, it recommended you wait until when the interviewer will ask of your pay/benefits expectations on the job, then, you can get as detailed as possible. 5. Asking Questions Relating to the Integrity of the Recruitment Process This is especially common during government or general recruitment. When an organization is conducting recruitment for a fairly large number of applicants at once, the possibilities that some folks will raise rumors concerning the integrity of the recruitment process is highly possible. Now, don't join those rumor bandwagon, and take questions regarding such rumors to your interviewers on the day of your interview. This will not add to your chances of being considered for the position(s). Questioning the integrity of the organization even before you get into the organization is a sign of disrespect for the beliefs and values of the organization. Irrespective of what you've heard about the organization, you will not want to give the HR officers the belief that you are one of the many folks tarnishing the image of the organization to the outside world. Conclusion In either case, an important key to note before any job interview is the fact that the interview process is set up as a means through which the organization can get to know you, and not vice-visa. So when your interviewer gives you that opportunity to ask a question, use it wisely, and not as an opportunity to make up for the questions you've missed. I really think many in here don't know what true integrity means. Take a look at these two scenarios: Scene 1: Every Sunday evening, Mr. Albert will keep 3 coolers of cooked beans in front of his gate for the poor and the needy ones to feed from. But soon enough, the gate of Mr. Albert became so popular to needy people within and outside his locality. But as the populations of needy people increases, the 3 coolers of beans is now being dragged and competed for, to the point that on the 8th, 9th and 10th Sunday of Mr. Albert's acts of benevolence, the needy folks broke some coolers, and made away with the other coolers. On the 11th Sunday, Mr. Albert kept 3 coolers of cooked beans at his gate like he has always done, but this time, he waited for the arrival of the needy folks, and cautioned them in a solemn vow saying: I can't be buying and cooking beans for you, and also be buying three coolers every week. If after this evenings' meal, I don't meet these coolers in good shape, I WILL NEVER BRING FOOD TO THE GATE FOR YOU PEOPLE AGAIN!!!Sure enough, after Mr. Albert left, some greedy folks who missed Mr. Albert's sermon, came and rushed at the delicacies, broke some coolers and made away with the others. Well, on the 12th Sunday, the people came to the gate and met Mr. Albert alone with no coolers of beans. And he spake to the people saying; Well people, no food for you anymore, I told you not to destroy my coolers, yet you did! therefore, GO HOMESo the people turned and as they were going, Mr. Albert could notice tears in the eyes of some of them, he could even hear some little children asking their mother what they'll eat that Sunday evening since Mr. Albert's beans is no longer available. But before the people were gone too further, Mr. Albert was filled with compassion and DECIDED NOT TO MAINTAIN THE SO CALLED "INTEGRITY" TOWARDS HIS WORD!. He called to the people, and offered them aromatic-filled beans in 6 brand new coolers. Scene 2: In a bid to win the kingship of two kingdoms (Akit and Bakit), Prince Richard promised to restore lands belonging to Bakit, which were hijacked by his Grandfather during his reign over Akit. What did Prince Richard do: He became the king of the two kingdoms, but he never restore the land belonging to Bakit. Why? With or without the help of the people of Bakit, I'm still the Prince of Akit, HENCE I OWE NO ONE INTEGRITY TO MY WORD, he retortedSo now, you be the judge, between Mr. Albert and Prince Richard, who lacks TRUE INTEGRITY? I'm sure that my message has been passed, but let look deeper into Gods' Word! God do sometimes change His Mind (Words), but does that mean that God lacks integrity? NEVER!!!!!!!! In 2Kings 20 from verse 1, God has decreed through Prophet Isaiah that Hezekiah was going to die. But in verse 5 & 6 of same chapter, He (God) changed His mind!!!. Does that mean God does not have integrity? Please analyze maturely before you criticize! cc# realone2012 ferguson0709 |

sylvestre01:Please let stop these kind of sarcastic talks and notions please!!!. 1. If someone say a particular month and it never came to pass, that does not mean that person was MERELY speculating. 2. One of the most trusted folk on this thread was Tami... I can still remember vividly that she gave the week of Dec. 4th for the commencement of interview, and it was so. But she also mentioned 1st quarter for the dispatch of APL and here we are, almost entering 3rd quarter. Please let be matured. The effect of all this sarcastic talks and notions is that, you are indirectly telling the few genuine tipsters on the thread to stop sharing what they know. Please use the same IQ you used during DPR Test to arrive at this stage, and don't even think of asking me how you are telling them to stop sharing what they know. Please this comment is not for the guy I've quoted alone, but for all. I only 'like and share' comments on this thread because I don't even know a gate-man in DPR or FCC. My observations is; most people causing uproars and unwarranted argument on this thread, are folks like me, who although have no knowledge of how DPR flies look like how much more their staffs, but still forcing relevance on themselves and spewing continuous trash. If you don't have something reasonable to say, please just like comments, share comments and go your way instead of being sarcastic, derogatory and gloat(y). |
