So, I met this girl a few years back. She's the lonely kind and I think she did find solace in me.

At the time, we were both new in the town and both looking forward to making new friends, maybe of the opposite sex.

Can't really tell about her in that regard but man body no be firewood.

Anyways, I saw her around campus then and decided to approach her. But couldn't because I was a bit shy and well, she was taller than me.

This really affected my self confidence. And she was very pretty too.

So, the first day, I took the coward's way out and pretended like I didn't notice her.

Didn't see her again for a little while and then about a week later, I saw her sitting in class and reading.

Walked up to her and just told her to help me watch my phone charging (didn't know how else to approach her)

Sha, I later came hack to get my phone and luckily, she wanted to leave as well. So, I just asked her to wait let me pack my things so we can walk to the school gate together.

We talked about literally everything on the way to the gate.

We later exchanged contacts and I left her around the junction to my house.

Later got her to come over and we did some things.

But here is the thing.

I never knew that she was engaged all this time.

Here I am thinking I've finally found a pretty sweet girl to be my babe at least for the next four years (I'm notoriously known for keeping long term relationship).

But babe was engaged to someone else in Abuja.

So, while I was there falling hopelessly in love with her, she was planning her wedding with another guy.

So during the vacation in our 100l first semester, this girl traveled to Abuja and sent me her wedding invitation within a few weeks.

Even during that same holiday when she came around the school for one of her friend's wedding in town we hooked up for a day or two then.

So, what exactly is going on here?

Hmm. I was heartbroken that day. Never called her again since then.

Didn't want anything to do with her more than I have already done.

She on the other hand concentrated on her marriage.

Now they have a boy and a beautiful girl. Sometimes I wonder if those kids could have been mine.

Not that I suspect that the kids are mine. The time don't lapse. But sometimes I imagine what my family with her might have been like.

So a few days ago, we met on campus and now she was really happy to see me. Genuinely happy with all the hugs and side kisses.

My heart melted at that very instant because she's very pretty, polite and always joking.

She's the first ever girl to refer to me as king and she always wanted me to be the best even in my studies. So much so, that I later moved to medicine.

So, forgive me if I can't see her as a bad person.

We discussed a few things and she said we should exchange contacts with her saying I should please visit her some time soon.

I knew from that moment however that I'll never call her or ever visit her. Two kids and still that beautiful.

But no, I'm just not that kind of man and besides, plenty fishes full this campus though I'm yet to meet anyone that we call me king and treat me as one as she had done.

But I keep hoping that someone better might be around the corner for me.

[s][/s][Good day Nairalanders, I recently Graduated from a prestigious Nigerian University, and on my Statement of Result, is written B.sc (Hons). Tried to Goggle search the meaning of the Hons. to no avail. Please Nairalanders, what does B.sc Hons means and what value does it add to the Degree?

Difference between Bsc (Hons) and Bsc
1. One cannot find much difference between a Bachelors of Science degree and Bachelors of Science (Hons) degree.

2. Three years are needed to complete a Bsc degree, and four years for the completion of a Bsc (Hons) degree.

3. The Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree is considered to be superior to the Bachelor of Science degree.

4. The Bsc (Hons) is considered to be, academically, more standard than the ordinary Bsc degree.

5. A student will have to write a dissertation for the completion of a Bsc (Hons) degree. On the other hand, this is not mandatory for a Bsc degree.

6. A Bsc degree is easier to obtain than a Bsc (Hons) degree.
