There is a growing trend of poverty among most civil servants and if that trend continues,u guys may end up becoming poorer than ur fathers.

The bad aspect of it is the middle class poverty among educated retirees...and this has made working in government like a curse to majority of civil servants immediately they retire from office.

I visited an office in Abuja the other day to see a friend and in one of our discussions,i asked him a questions. I said,hope u guys are planning for your retirement and i equally mentioned that he should not rely on that monthly contribution because,it has already been eaten-up by inflation? Immediately I mentioned that,he went cold and sober and voice lowered and in a show of surprise,he said,when the time comes,it will surely take care of itself.

For those of u who are still in the ministry and agencies, have a second income or even third one if u must survive the present Nigeria. I took my time to visit some offices because of the kind of work i do and realised a good number of workers could not afford the transportation cost and most decided to ration it.

Most salary earners are not finding it easy these days and I pray that situation we are in would change things for the better.

I have noticed any time I tell my gf to see me,l; her coming alone will cost me 16k cos she will say she can't come unkempt. I've severally inconvenient myself for her ontop my 50k salary. So this guy and I were talking yesterday in school and he saw something while scrolling through his Facebook.

A girl he had wanted to toast about two days back.

She's dead.

About 2 days ago, while coming out from his room and trying to lock the door, he saw the girl walking by.

He tried calling her to talk to her. All he said was "fine girl, how far"

You know how guys do this na if they see a girl passing by.

Anyways, she snubbed him and behave as though he wasn't even talking to her. he was kind of embarrassed and a little angry.

His first reaction was to insult her or tell her that she's not even pretty enough.

But he decided against it.

Later that evening, he saw the same girl walking with another guy. E pain am small but him just lock up.

This all happened the day before yesterday.

Yesterday, the same girl died 😢😢.

Him no just no wetin to even talk because according to him, the plan na to lash the girl or invite am over the following day (same day she died).

Me I'm kind if wondering about the other guy and still thinking, what if she actually agreed? Just what if?

I would've said the same thing if she were a female behaving in this manner, so nothing to do with double standards, bro. If you were familiar with my posts, you would know I'm always impartial and will call a spade a spade, irrespective of the gender in question.

My point is there's no point in him being vengeful when they can end this so-called relationship that's already over and is quickly becoming toxic. He should have a job or other activities he can expend his energy on instead of playing this pay-back game. He himself is no saint, as he has other ladies numbers, including his ex's number on standby. He claims to be Mr. Innocent but his phone is full of other women's phone numbers. Did they magically put themselves into his contact list or how did they get there?

Nigerians have a habit of chatting with members of the opposite sex when in relationships, whether it be their exes (awon "my ex is not my enemy" crew) or others they consider "friends", neither of which I condone or ever will. From this whole situation, it's obvious most can't take what they dish out to others and will therefore take offense when it's done to them. Their wahala o jare.

I broke up with my girlfriend of 6 months because she asked me when was the last time I gave her money to make her hair and nails.I yelled at her when she popped the question out of the blues and things escalated quickly from there which eventually lead to our breakup. I've never been a stingy boyfriend. I have always provided for her to the best of my abilities and whenever she asked even though I must admit that she wasn't materialistic.

I lost my job last year december when my company downsized but I was fairly compensated . Since then,my ex only visited me once despite staying in the same city with me. Knowing fully well that I had no job but still going ahead to ask that insensitive question really made me angry. Earlier this year,I gave her money when she was returning to school. I also gave her money during her birthday. After we had the argument,I still went back to apologize to her but insisted that she is no longer interested.

So,I just wanted to confirm from you guys,Did I overreact when she asked that question ? Did this girl even loved me in the first place ?
