PoliticsRe: Anambra Based Mechanic Fabricates 10 Million Naira Dredger by talktimi(op): 3:36pm On May 14, 2015
This thread wasn't opened for tribal bashings or sentiments, it was meant to showcase the good work of a young Nigerian and encourage others to actualize their potentials too and also to give those in the dredging business an alternative to the expensive equipment they use. Please observe decorum

This will be extremely beneficial for those engaged in dredging business but are frightened by the high cost of equipment. The man should be encouraged

AWKA — THE old spare parts market at Nkpor, near the commercial city of Onitsha, has virtually turned into a Mecca of sort following the completion of a dredging machine which cost about N10 million by a motor mechanic in the area, Mr. David Ezenwa. The equipment, which took five months to complete has been transported to Aguleri water-front in Anambra East local government area where it is expected to be put to use soon, Ezenwa’s workshop at No 5 Awgbu street, Nkpor was the cynosure of all eyes as people gathered to admire the equipment because of its size and sophistication.

Materials that formed the major components of the equipment include a 12mm metallic pan, 10 inch sand sorting pump, 10 cylinders Mercedes Benz engine, self loader sand sucking pump, blaster pump which helps to soften the sand, a sand cutter, another four cylinders 608 Mercedez Benz engine for the pump, a dashboard for electrical indication and pipes that carry the sand from the water to its place of deposit.

On completion, the equipment is almost the size of a small bridge. Ezenwa, who is from Abatete in Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State, said his interest in fabrication started when he was young which was why he became a motor mechanic after leaving school.

He said: “I have a friend who is an engineer and is into machine fabrication and he advised me to go into equipment construction because he discovered that I am talented in the area.

On my own, I started assembling the materials after designing it. I developed interest in the dredging machine after seeing one in operation and determined that I would build it. “Despite the high cost, I picked up courage and started it in December, 2014 and completed it in May, 2015. The machine has been tested and proved to be in perfect working condition and arrangement has been completed for it to be mounted on the bank of Omambala River in Aguleri where it will be used for sand dredging.”

The dredging machine, Ezenwa said, has a pumping capacity of 300 trips of sand per day and has a discharging capacity of over 800 meters from the river bank where trucks can load the sands to various destinations. Though Ezenwa said he did not borrow money to complete the equipment, he explained that he could mass produce it if he was able to get financial assistance from government or financial institutions.

According to him, financing the project was very difficult, adding that although some people had made inquiries about the cost for me to build the machine for them, they were discouraged by the enormous cost. “All these while, many people who came to this workshop were wondering what I was doing, but I am happy that despite the initial hiccups, we have been able to complete it to the glory of God,” he said.

Bookviser is nice and with great UI. However it is limited only to *epub books. There are two apps in the store that packs ability to open *txt and *pdf format along with *epub: 1. Moohoo reader - Tending towards Chinese UI and even some of the texts are in Chinese. The free bookstore packs majorly Chinese literature. It also has less animation and for instance, the scrolling animation is absent. Check out "MoHoo Reader" for Windows Phone http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=d811954f-a43b-4193-9760-4a20ead945d7 2. Tucan Reader: Has nicer UI and scrolling animations. Has store for English books, but not the trending or hot ones. It equally opens *pdf. Click the url to download. Check out "Tucan reader" for Windows Phone http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=4d298d16-f21e-4410-841e-3b2281342139 These are the ones I know of. But mostly I use bookviser premium more than those others. If I need to open pdf files, I prefer to use adobe reader.
thanks a bunch bro, I'll try them out. Some the books I downloaded came in PDF format which I'm not comfortable with at all.

Gbawe:
Stop the mischief my friend. What is Tinubu convicted of and why do Nigerians, specifically from certain ethnic groups and opportunist attention-seekers like Cramjones, continue to mention him ? I won't do your work for you but google the info to see that ACN, now defunct, was the only political party, out of the major ones in Nigeria, to be praised by auditors as haven complied with all regulatory stipulation of transparent book-keeping and up to date payment of relevant fees, levies and general charges. The PDP and even Buhari's CPC stood negatively indicted while tne ACN under Tinubu was exemplary according to auditors. The bottom line is that Tinubu conduct his affairs cleanly. Why would Buhari then make a Tinubu who is deemed clean, haven been one of the few Nigerians to face a court and be acquited, the object of his corruption fignt especially given what Tinubu sacrificed to make him President? That is my point.

So before Buhari focuses on the immediate corruption of the past government that got us where we are he should fruitlessly go after Tinubu who conducts his affairs above board and also doubles as a power broker Buhari believed in enough to embrace for his presidency project? You are an elder here because of your nairaland age . Stop leading the kids on. Buhari knows Tinubu is one of the few that stays on the side of legality always. Combine that with what Tinubu did for Buhari and can continue to do for him and it is obvious you and others are just blowing sentimentl air because of your unobjective and ethnocentric hatred of jagaban. For example, when have you guys put forforward the names of Kalu Orji, Odili, Uduagan, Elechi, Alison-Madueke, Theodore Orji, Peter Obi, Anenih et al from your region for immediate prosecution before shouting Tinubu as if he is the only politician in Nigeria. You and others don't fool me. You are fooling youselves With your bigoted hypocrisy.
I am coming back to properly reply you but let this be the last time you class me amongst tribal bigots here on nairaland and even elsewhere. You can check my records anywhere, even as an Ijaw man I have always been outspoken against the e wars Yoruba's and ibos especially always engage themselves in. If you knew my background while growing up, I would be the last person you will accuse of ethnocentric hatred. Cheers

I still don't get why some people are calling the AIT programs "hate documentaries". Those were sponsored programs that were based on factual happenings involving Buhari so what's the big deal ? I personally found them enlightening and at least now I know better the character of the man who I going to preside over this country for the next four years.

Funny you claim that AIT is a department of a political party but blindly ignored TVC & Channels playing the same role for another party. Yeye dey stank cool
PoliticsRe: Bola Tinubu and PMB - Cramjones by talktimi(m): 8:26pm On Apr 27, 2015
Gbawe please stand on one side. You are categorically saying that even if Tinubu is guilty of corrupt offences, he should not be indicted or charged by Buhari's administration. How then do the ordinary masses and indeed the world at large take the incoming govts anti corruption stance seriously when there are obvious sacred cows ? Nigeria will indeed be viewed as a country run by a corruption riddled government. I don't expect what you posted here even though your usual praise singers refused to be analytical. I would rather expect you to challenge anybody to throw in the gauntlet and challenge Tinubu in a proper court of law with valid evidence

Remember Buhari's mantra during the campaign was he would fight corruption. Certain individuals around him would be a minus to him
