so she has plenty inflows but few outflows? That can also be seen as an issue to them especially if your SOP didn't explain that it was a dedicated savings account. Since your own account had good inflow and outflow, i think you should have been the sponsor How detailed was your SOP? subzheero: I really appreciate Boss. The inflow can't be upto 40 to 50m l only save what l think should be enough for study permit which is 22m.The acct has more inflow than outflow .The only outflow from the acct was around June when l purchased a Toyota Camry so her acct was debited to pay the person .Also first semester tuition fee of 8516.76 was paid fron the account so her acct shouldn't have more than 5 outflows last year apart from bank charges my own personal which am transferring from should have up to that interms of inflow and outflow

the challenge is this; if she is the PA and she's also sponsoring the entire family, you are essentially telling the VO that while she's schooling, she won't be able to make as much money to fend for all four of you for 2 years. They have calculated the expesnses for 2 years and if what you have in her account just barely covers it, they may see it as inability to buy return tickets, and other expenses as of when due. it may have been more advisable that you had been the sponsor and to tie it to ''while she's schooling'' you would still be working to support the family income already saved up subzheero: Thanks really appreciate. She has 22m in her personal account while mine is 5m.Am thinking of transferring 8m to her so her total balance will be 30m plus ,l will also do a gift deed as regards that.Again,l will submit form A to balance up the first year tuition fee but l will only attach the form A evidence with the application so the bank can debit anytime. Also, providing a strong SOP.
Please will this work out please l need your input and suggestions waiting for GCMS might take some months l want to refire ASAP .May intake
Please help a brother |

If you keep getting the error 403 code, click refresh button in your browser. It will say you submitted a form, do you want to continue (or something like that). Click continue. Kepp doing it over and over. It will open. You may need to repeat it several times till you finish what you want to do on the CIC website( application or checking update) I think the site is having issues benedictuyi: Abeg gurus in the house I need help.
I've created an account via gckey to begin an application.

I drafted my SOP with a clear table of contents, i wrote it with a title, sub-titles, and bolden+italics for points i needed to highlight of importance. i started my SOP with an introduction to myself as though a typical job interview [name, DOB, educational background, professional certification, career highlights, etc.] framework (it is an interview in a sense isn't it?) stating what my intent (to apply for a TRV [Study Permit], and my dependents' [Spousal Open Work Permit + Study Permit for kids]. Ara adugbo! Help me o.
I have searched as far back as August 2023, i can't find a response to my dilemma.
I'm using the new portal to apply. I entered that i qas applying for more than one person so it asked me to 'Add member"
I have finished filling my own questionnaire but i haven't uploaded documents.
I tried to fill questionaire for my son and i selected Visitors visa/super visa. I didn't know what else to select.
I got to a point and it asked me for letter of invitation as well adls address of the person inviting him.
How do i answer this pls?
Thank you |

Thank you so much. Letter of invitation or letter of explanation? It also asked for passport details and address (in canada) of the person inviting him. What do i type in pls? I'm alsp applying with him so i don't have a canadian address. Whew. My GCkey account kept locking me out and that's why went to the new IRCC portal. The shege my eyes have seen is sprikled with ginger and garlic kennyjoy: You need to write Letter of Invitation in which you explain to the visa officer why you want your son to accompany you to Canada. |

Thank you so much teebullion1: Thank you
You will need to use GCKEY portal to apply together with your family. When answering the questionaire you'll be asked if you're coming with family members, answer yes and fill details of the family members coming with you. The IMM forms and documents you need to fill and upload for each family member will be listed when you are ready to submit your application.
It will end in praise |

i'm so thankful for all the pointers on this page.
I have commenced the family application using IRCC portal (new portal). i have created a profile for myself. I did the ''add new member'' and When i tried to create a profile for my son, at the beginning, i select ''Visitor's Visa'' to visit a parent who is an international student.
About 4 questionnaires later, there's a space for ''Letter of invitation'' i don't have that. No one is inviting my son to stay. i honestly don't know how to answer this and so I'm stuck on the application.
Can anyone help please?
Thank you |

Hi everyone!
Happy new year to us all
Please i want to apply for myself, spouse and kids. from the research i have done, i have just have to fill the same forms as i filled for myself. (IMM 1294, 5707, 5409) However, from some people's testimony here, i saw other IMM forms filled such as ( 1294, 5713, 5645, 5257). I am officially confused
I'm so scared that i may be wrong.
Please can anyone kindly enlighten me on how to apply for study permit for myself, SOWP for my husband and Visiting Visas for my kids? Do i create an account for all of them or is there a way to link them to my GCkey account?
Are these IMM forms i listed also correct?
KIndly assist please.
Thank you |

I am super grateful to God and to everyone contributing on this thread.
Received PPR for my study permit on Dec 22 and SOWP for my spouse on Dec 23
Application submitted on September 3rd Biometrics done and updated the same day on Sept 8th for me & Sept 15th for spouse Upfront medicals me on September 22nd Eligibility started on October 27th Upfront medicals passed for spouse on November 9th after sending webforms
Then silence... No update, nothing. The wait was frustrating.
Ordered CBSA notes on Oct 27 which came on Nov 23 and showed that everything was in order & eligibility was on review required
I already differed to May 2023 (I no wan book flight/travel under pressure) but I kept sending emails and webforms. At a point I scheduled like 35 emails daily
Sent email to Simon Fraser & Justin Trudeau on December 12 and received responses albeit generic (in short, told me to be patient) Reached out to MP same day, she asked for my details and got back after a few days with same generic response and told me to keep checking portal for update. I stopped sending emails on Dec 14. At this point I decided to leave everything in God's hands as I felt I had done everything I needed to do within my power. I never stopped praying all through. Sent webform on Dec 20th.
I was having a not so good day on 22nd when I decided to check my email, na so I see 2 donotreply emails. My heart was racing as I checked portal to see PPR for myself and ghost update for spouse. PPR dropped for my spouse the next morning.
Document submitted All IMM forms Admission letter (Cambrian College 1year course) Tuition deposit receipt MBS Statement of account 10months pay slip Risevest USD statement of account (I left the funds in Risevest because funds in naira account already covers both tuition and living expenses) Passport data page (no travel history) Marriage certificate Wedding pictures Degree certificate PGD certificate IELTS (general) Employment letter Redeployment letter & email Letter of introduction from work (couldn't get leave approval letter) Work ID & complementary card Resume (edited to Canadian style) SOP (5 pages) Land receipt, contract of sale & allocation Receipt and contract of sale for a flat in both our names(not fully paid as it is Off-plan) Car documents CAC cert for a business name I registered in 2019 (never used) My birth cert & ID Parents/siblings birth certificates/ID Casual pictures with family members

If I can do it, anybody can. Just take your time to write a compelling story in your SOP. It is the most important thing after POF. It is how you sell yourself to the VO. It is better you write yourself and get people to help review but if you cannot write it please outsource and fine-tune (I know GCMS writer is good). I begged people to help review my SOP. I am going for a PGD in Business Analytics after already having PGD in Business Admin. Going with spouse for 1year program without travel history and God did it.
I learnt alot just by being a silent reader here and I also did a lot of research. The motivation to start the journey was gotten from here. Special thanks to Lianna2020, skull4eva, justmellow, Centennial guy & Ketima who helped review my SOP & answer my questions when I reached out. Thanks to everyone that made this possible |

I am really grateful to God for His graciousness over me and my family because this can only be God. The journey to travel to Canada started with my hubby in 2020/2021 but he couldn't secure an admission. He also tried a UK sch but nothing positive. We both decided to switch the applicant and apply to Canada again and several UK schs. I became the Principal applicant for Canada and we both did several UK schs. I was given admission less than 2 weeks after I submitted my application and we both had 7 admissions all together from UK schs. We decided to stick with Canada as travelling to UK now is not beans. It was really a tough decision for us when we wanted to apply for Visa. We read of how it was best for one person to go first before others joining but the thought of leaving my husband and son behind scared me oo so we decided to put our faith in God and submit as a family. We praise the name of the Lord because it has ended in praise.
I'd like to say a big thank you to all our support system in this application for admission and Visa journey. God bless you all and to Nairaland family..you guys ehnn you too much. God bless you all including our gurus( Frank, Anon and several others. Your selfless service will never go unrewarded by the Almighty. And to all PPR hopefuls you are next in Jesus name. Amen
Sorry for the long post, I just had to be explicit enough for others who want to apply as a family. |

Congatulations. I see someone has answered your question already. Kindly encourage others by posting documents submitted and timeline as well. Quindarrel: Good day everyone, please I need answers to the following questions. I'm in a dilemma:
1. My application was submitted in Feb for may intake, I couldn't get my visa before classes started and I had to defer the admission to sept. I tried uploading the new admission but couldn't upload it. Now my visa is out. Do I still need to let IRCC know about the new admission and if yes how do I go about it.
2. I have paid my tuition deposit of 2650cad for centennial college which is how I got my acceptance letter, although It was started on the acceptance letter that I should pay the first semester fees at a due date but I couldn't cos my visa wasn't out which i told the school. I have been previously denied visa(been on this Canada ish since 2020). My question now is do I have to pay the first semester tuition fee before going cos of port of entry Palava. The banks are saying it will take months before school gets it cos of limited FX.
3. I used my dad which is my sponsor fixed investment account as proof of fund and the maturity of the investment is ending of this July which means it would have been liquidated before I get to Canada. Do I still need to submit this investment certificate and statement as proof of fund at the point of entry or can I use his 4month bank statements with enough funds as proof of funds at point of entry.
Ignore any errors and thanks for all your help. I pray everyone gets their visa in Jesus name. Amen. |

Thanks for this response. UI wanted to use this but someone suggested i shouldn't especially if tax hasn't been paid, that they will request for a tax certificate. Is this correct please? francisxbee: Send everything. No use keeping it. But if you're sending a business account statement, you need to add sole signatory letter. It's a letter from the bank confirming you're the sole signatory to the business account and funds in it are available to you.
You can also add the cac certificate and that cac page that shows details of proprietor. |

Hi there, so sorry to hear about the refusal. Don't give up, many others have been given Visas on their 2nd application. I would like to ask, is it really important for your mum to apply with you at this time? If yes, you would need to show enough proof of funds in both your accounts to substantiate this. If she doesn't have to go with you immediately, you can apply for yours and after getting your Visa, she can apply for a visiting visa (which i think may be a better option) Fardowsa: Hi everyone, i am at the edge of my reapplication, as i was refused due to insufficient funds. My mom had also applied with me and she was refused because of this (The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.). I do not understand cos i clearly stated in the damn letter that she was only escorting me to school and besides i have 3 other siblings. Anyway, my dad just got some money he had as a fixed deposit of (about 10M) he sent to his account to present as proof of funds. Now we have to find some explanation for the lump sum. Advices please?
A family friend advised us not to include my mom's application again because it can raise questions (?) Someone please help! Thank you |

Thank you so much. I got one today. Thanks to everyone who assisted too CharitoJames: Go on google and search for waec scratch card... click on any of the links... you will enter your details...email, name, number etc... use your card to pay... its 2k. The pin will be sent to your mail, you can screenshot it and crop out unnecessary background.
Now convert to pdf along side your waec result. Then send a mail to your school and attach the pdf... they will use the pin and your exam number to confirm your waec result... |

Thank you soooooo much for the detailed response. it's very clear now. I am a film producer. i am considering digital marketing communications as well. Do you think that would work? Lekiboboe: Hi, I can be able to answer your no. 2 and 3 question
2) Entertainment is very wide like Computer with lots of branches, that being said, What Entertainmentjob are you into Are you an MC, Music Promoter, Musician, Film Producer, Music Producer, Dancer, Comedian, Movie Actor, DJ?
Your response to the above question will determine the PG. CERT program you can go for to show CAREER PROGRESSION as an ENTERTAINER
3) Before your PGWP expires, you must have applied for PR via express entry. That's why it is advisable for an international to do a two years program or you finish 1 program and do another program (1+1) to get 2-3 years PGWP. If you go for only a year program, you get only 1-year PGWP, after finishing that you can't get it again (PGWP is once in a lifetime). That means you will be expected to leave Canada after that 1 year PGWP becomes obsolete.
For a two years program or 1 +1 program, out of the 2-3 years PGWP you get after finishing a 2-years or 1+1 program, you are eligible to apply for CEC after 1 year fulltime work experience of your PGWP, then the remaining 1 or 2 years will give you more time to Prepare your PR application (do IELTS OR CELPIP, get all requires docs, etc.) and submit |
