Trust me police can help out if you can tip however reporting at the station is very important because the case will require a lot of steps but trust me make a report first then go to any access bank and lodge a complaint in respect to that account , see the bank manager and follow up with an official report in writing stating all your facts , take this letter back to the station and your ipo will follow up. Infact write EFCC sef. If your don't get money back you would save a lot of people from this scam.

Report the account and get the account blocked and take necessary steps in retrieving your money bank. It could take time but you can and before I forget report at the nearest station but mind you that might not be the person real name or the account number name might not be the real perpetrator. Act fast if your wife was scammed yesterday so at least you can get part of your money back or probably save another person from being a victim but the bank can help Sha but you have to Lodge a complaint

As for the police, they may not have the understanding or technical expertice to handle cyber crime. Ja police shoot first then ask questions later. Pls let us do what we can to help spread this information to unsuspecting people

Well you may say she was greedy. This lock down is challenging the idea of living on savings alone. As for the errand boy part, my wife is a business woman she is industrious and I trust her judgement to a certain limit because we are not perfect and can still make mistakes. I gave her the benefit of doubt

Scam Alert:
Yesterday my wife asked me to transfer some money to someone. She said she will transfer the money to me from her account to send to the recipient which she did. She normally does this because the bank app that I use will generate a proof of successful transfer (transaction) which her phone could not do. When I asked her for the purpose of the transaction she was silent at first, then later she said it was a business transaction and will give me the details later. Fast forward to about 8:00p.m, my wife was sad and said honey let me open up to you, I have been scammed.

The scammer is: OGIES MARVIS OSAIGBOVO using the alias of Mrs Joy Binomo Invesment on Facebook and Twitter.
Their Strategy: They search for their unsuspecting victims on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram promising to triple whatever cash investment in two (2) hours. They will ask you add them up on Facebook so that you will see evidence of success and yes their page will blow your mind away with success stories. Then you may believe and get added on Whatsapp. That is where they’ll give you the account to invest.
First Red Flag: You are asked to transfer into an Access Bank account name: OGIES MARVIS OSAIGBOVO
And send a proof of payment to them on Facebook. To me I was not cautious at this point and forgot about the transaction.
Second Red Flag: They told my wife that she will be paid in next two hours which was to be by 7:00p.m. because the transaction was done around 5:00p.m.
When she opened up to me that the transaction had failed she made a post on Facebook tagging Mrs Joy Binomo Investment as a scammer and shared on her page. Would you believe it that these scammers had prepared for such alarms, they delete every negative post on their page and block the sender. They blocked my wife from their page. They did this so that unsuspecting victims may never see such posts, thereby never believe or fall for their scams.
Third Red Flag: It later becomes obvious that all the so called success stories were forged by themselves. It is after they have blocked that you will know that you have been scammed.

The most surprising aspect of the post to me is that with the details and eloquence of the writer, some people's only comments are that his post was too long. Hello people. A lot has been said on this topic already. I think the CBN is committing fraud if the only reason they are ceasing the banks money is for not giving out risky loans. What is a risky loan? If the CBN feels the public should access more loans, let them collect the money from the banks and bare the risk of giving out these loans to the public. Just imagine, you want banks to give out risky loans but will run away when these loans go bad or default? SMH. CBN you should be working with banks such that via the BVN if a customer takes a loan and runs away, CBN can flag such customers in any bank where they may have hidden the loan. Listen to the banks and help them to help more people, not threaten them to just give out money.

This is just absurd. This is a face saving move by the police I believe. When the outcry dies down, these men will walk away from the show. The weapons may not even be theirs.

How did the police catch all 56 of them?
who was caught with which weapons?
How many are innocent citizens among the 56?
How many escaped arrest?
What was the motive behind the attack?
Who sponsored the attack?
Where is likely next to be attacked?
