Romance / Re: My Wife Has Set A Timetable For Sex For Me. What Do I Do? by Tarokboy: 9:26am On Aug 24, 2023
I had to log in.
My man first of, you have little or no value to her when you first met and even now.Perhaps she got married to you because she was coming of age and needed someone to settle with.Obviously, she is an independent lady and rich.
You see in my case, God has made me valuable at home.Tomorrow, if my spouse becomes further empowered(which I pray for),she may start exhibiting some of the characters you stated.Women are Wired so.I am prepared for that time too.As a man you need to be a step ahead in a relationship. Please when I say Valuable, I don't mean only being the bread winner.it also conotes irresistible, precious, great worth amongst other virtues.

Secondly, she detest you.Common why will a spouse cringe when you show affection! You see, this boils down to my above point above.NOBODY TURNS DOWN AN MVP.
My advise to you in this, use reverse Psychology.
When you sought changes in someone and it is becoming non effective, switch and initiate some changes to yourself.Don't work yourself requesting for sex, seek alternatives, Dont beg for affection and attention.dont be monotonous and predictable, be vague, hang out with friends,Show nonchalance, however be responsible to your kids.
May God make us valuable.

Mama Emma..

April 14,2021

When I saw the call come through by 1:20am, April 14, 2017, from my Dad,I knew the worst had happened. He broke the news.
I cried until 5am, handed over the office keys to my colleague and neighbor, entered my car and headed to Jos from Nsukka.
I needed to be where you were same day.

I don't think I ever saw my mum apply body cream/lotion,her preference was vaseline..Laughs, she was that natural. She was an ebony beauty.
She shone bright like a diamond. The only body scar she had was from the CS she had while delivering all her kids and skirmishes of keloids on her thighs and the lower section of her stomach.

My mum carried virtually all the world's load on her delicate head, from ill health,to need for money e tal, but she never buckled, she stood tall and strong to the end.
She could improvise,a great positive schemer, thinker and analytical.
She was a sanguine,an alarmest and a drama Queen.
My God,my mum could be eating and needs water, instead of her to just ask one of her kids to go fetch her drinking water, she holds her throat forming being choked.
There was a day we had a guest and my mum started her acts, you could see how the guest nearly fell off his seat and shocked at how reluctant we strolled to fetch her water.
Till date we never believed our mum ever choked for real.

My mum was extremely funny with a high sense of humour.
Whenever we play Ludo one of her favourite pastimes and she has an upper hand in the game, she start saying,"Emma na ludo I take pay your school fees o and you dey try me".She only plays when there is an agreement that 6:5 is bonus knowing the gods favour her in getting most of the 6:5s.
She also did some stuff I found weird back then but in retrospect understand. My mum had this habit of buying bones and Kpomo to load in soups she prepared.
She had this favourite plastic cup she drinks from and you dear not bring any other.
She hauled virtually anything at you when we misbehave, her favourite being the "Bulgali stick".
She virtually stay all day in the market whenever she goes shopping. Oh and one of her favourites, when we are home and she farts, which is pretty loud, she looks at the nearest person and call out his or her name like the person did it.

I don't think much troubled my late mum,she was strong willed, had a large heart, and had no enemies besides Mama Joe(laughs)
She never stopped checking on neighbours even in ill health.Despite having only 3kids,she always came back with one relation to live with us whenever she travels to the village.

I remember how on Christmas days my mum made us carry food to neighbours. It was really a tiring experience back then to us but she kept on.
Whenever we complained on issues, she always chip back saying"grumbling is allowed".She uses the phrase "delay is dangerous" and "obey before complain".

I will never forget all the sacrifices She made for her kids and to me in particular, from my secondary school to the university.
Managing from the little she had to try meeting our needs.
From the train rides from Lagos to Jos,from the infamous 2days Salisu Adamu and sons road trips,to the meandering in the bushes of Kukwar to avoid a meeting with the dreaded Orim masquerade,to the Christmas in the dark of Turaki and the Makosa dances She taught us in Navy Town.We really miss you.

My mum was besieged by a protracted illness but she fought till the end.
Many felt she lived longer due to her large heart and love for people.
The illness became more severe in the last 2years of her stay on Earth as she frequented the hospital every other 2 days, but she fought on.
Her body got weak and it got to a point where veins were only gotten from the feet.

Still mummy, you fought a good fight and we know you are resting with the Lord.
Rest on till we meet to part no more.

From Yaro.

LOVE GONE BAD

June 29,2016

TRUE LIFE STORY....
I know I will get a lot of knocks on this one.
I care less.I believe if at my age I do not come outright to say it as it is, then I am forever lost and doomed.

2009
It was an 'Open heaven' in May 2009.The rains came pouring down like it had a score to settle with earth that day.Not even the heavy rains could stop my set goals. It was a day I had lived, ate, drank and dreamt of for decades . It was a special day.
I was on vacation and in Lagos. Tradition demanded that it will be inappropriate to see you alone. Hence I and my dad went to your place. It was an anxious moment.
Then I saw you and knew you were the one.
My dad had to call me aside and expressed reservations. The dead was done.I was sold and nothing and nobody could convince me otherwise.Still, out of respect for the old man, I had to call friends and family to talk to him to see reason and accept my choice. It was tough. He finally accepted my choice.
After payment and rites conducted I took you home.
Those were great times.

2016
Things have changed since then.changed like a Honda gear. From gear 1 to 2 to 3 and now at a reverse.I cannot categorically place where it all started going wrong despite the care and attention.I believe it was after our marathon trip from Ijebu ode to Lagos and back to Enugu. You became cold suddenly.
I noticed your looks changed.Bruises and contours on your body.No appeal,no stamina, slow amongst other vices.
Just Last week, I had a heart to heart discussion with my close pal pouring out the sorrow you have caused me lately. As a matter of fact, hardly a fortnight passes without a visit to a specialist. You are greatly draining me love but I must act fast.
Today I can boldly beat my chest and say I did my best and challenge anyone to come forth and say otherwise.
The years have not only affected the physical but also your inside has really been distorted. How did it get this bad?
Well my mind has been made up as I find it difficult to continue this relationship. We should part ways this year.
It is the only rational thing to do.

MY HONDA LEGEND(Car)

BOUNTY HUNTER

May 31,2016

I abruptly stopped in my tracks as I entered the restroom.Right in front of me was a 9 inches redneck agama lizard.I had to move closer to ensure it was outside and had no way to slip through the net into my restroom.
As kids growing up in the barracks,we took delight hunting for lizards with our catapults.Mischievously cruel in our actions but fun we thought it was.
We were bounty killers of the reptiles at some point;killers without reward.
A seemingly reward came our way one day out of the blues as a neighbour two blocks from my parents came requesting for a redneck.Just one redneck to be used as condiment in preparing a therapy to cure a chronic cough. As the team lead as many knew me to be,I was given the contract. We mobilised and at dusk,we delivered a bagful. We 'fantastically'surpassed our target. It was a massacre.
It is day 4 and the redneck is still hibernating in the same position as the first day.Is it dead I thought, but it is still hanging I reasoned. The dead do not hang I finally concluded. To test my hypothesis,I took a step forward and gave the redneck a poke with the butt of my toothbrush. It moved. I breathed a sigh of relieve.I didn't want it dead.
I have become a man whose one of his convictions towards living things is 'live and let's live'as long as you go about your business causing no harm or impediment to me,and peaceful,I am cool with you.
Many times I see wall geckos do the sprints in my corridor,do the waltz in my kitchen and subsequently do the spiders for desert.I am also cool with that.I give it to the geckos though, they have a way of going about their business like spirits;they are there and they are not.
As I drove home,I wondered if the redneck goes playing, hunting or chasing female lizards during the day time and come back to my window as a restpoint or it has remained there from dawn to dusk since I first saw it?Unfortunately, work does not give me the luxury to cure my curiosity.
Why my net,why not the other 32 windows?what makes my window appealing?Could it be the webs lately gradually building up around my room, hence a perfect hunting ground for insects?Perhaps my net was made with a different material like they do the water bed?perhaps my location,a secure haven against predators,or perhaps it knows I am a repentant serial lizard killer hence no other perfect haven than my net?
My thoughts ran wild.
Day 18.The redneck is still here.
It is here to stay I guess.

MWO GREGORY
June 8,2016
The tall, strict, no nonsense looking posture that says I will hit you if you do not conform readily comes to mind.
MWO Gregory, a Taroh man with an English name (still wonder where that came from).I grew up hearing our tribesmen call him 'denbillim'.
He had many aliases but the favourite amongst kids was GRINGORY, a character from the popular TV series NEW MASQUERADE.
As a 9year old kid, I believed MWO Gregory had two great obsessions; forcing kids to recite The Times table and his farm.
"Emma oya read 6 times table", after a 30 seconds silent prayer, I managed to recite 6X1, 6X2, and 6X3 smoothly. When I got to 6X4, I was able to do a count from 18 to 24 in my mind and got it.For 6X5,my 'mind'and head failed me.A great "knock" on my head jolted me back to reality.
His strike will make a black mamba go green in envy.
"Oya 7 times table"Gosh! Only a genius could recite that tearily I thought.
Two things took me to the 'lion's den', football and the Zogole soup of Mrs Gregory.
I was ready to sacrifice my head for both.
I never saw the teeth of MWO Gregory.
He was a disciplinarian to the core.No time for frivolities, no TV, no cushions, no entertainment gadget, nothing but a small transistor radio tucked by the side of his 6 by 8 inches bed in the living room strictly and permanently tuned to BBC and Radio Nigeria.
He ensures you feel uncomfortable in his house and around him.He was an austere man.
As kids, we had limited space for football, our greatest pass time.
When we shatter the louvres in a location and were wanted, we relocate to another fresh ground.
Fortunately and unfortunately, MWO Gregory had one of the largest space in front of his apartment where he farms on while we adamantly despite great threat play football on the other part.
We inculcated discipline and precision at an early age.
We learnt to direct our kicks. We dare not over kick the ball into his farm.
We dare not trespass into his farm even in his absence.
As a precautionary measure, kids who could not direct their kicks were given a life ban from playing on that particular space.
Legend had it that there were over 30 balls in the farm forever lost.
Master Warrant Officer Gregory left an indelible mark on me despite my tender age.I give it to the times table master.

JOHN MALLAM’S SHORTCUT
Posted Dec 4th 2018.

Prologue
My early thought of you was when I was 5 or perhaps 6 years old back in Navy Town.”
John mallam don come back”I remembered my late mum enthused as we sat down for lunch.
The 70’s and 80’s brought with it a flurry of Naval personnel who were either returning or setting sail overseas for one military operation or the other.JOHN MALLAM was back from his military attache in MALABO,EQUITORIAL GUINEA.
Immediately after lunch, not waiting for the food to digest,I crossed 2nd AVENUE road, playfully kicking invisible balls while jogging through the large expanse of grass overlooking OUR LADY OF THE SEA CATHOLIC CHURCH,
I got to the gates of Navy Town Hospital which is opposite the Church in a record time.
Where you dey go?”shouted the sentry by the gate of the hospital.Prepared for the lie and looking confidently into the eyes of the ABLE SEAMAN,I replied “I dey go visit person for hospital”.
We rather follow the hospital “shortcut”rather than the long route by the road of ROAD 4 leading to the residence of the John Mallams.Just last week a child was knocked down by a car on that road.We rather walk through the hospital than walk into a hospital bed.The lie was worth it.
Jogging sideways with a smirk on my face having successfully played the security by the hospital gate for the umpteenth time.Swinging the Nylon of "Zogole" leaves my mum asked me to take along to the new arrivals,I could not help but watch men and women jump, slide and roll on the semi grass,semi-sand court in the name of playing volleyball.
From the corner of my eyes I saw two naval personnel walked towards the flag in preparation to blow the pea whistle for evening parade. My jogging turned to a light sprint towards the Hospital main entrance. On this special day, I never wanted the effect of the head of "MEDUSA" to slow my progress. Not for a minute.
In giving a seeming credence to the lie at the hospital gate,"we"actually go in through the main hospital entrance.Little did the Able Seaman or any other gatekeeper know that we took further shortcut by going through the hospital reception, the waiting room, grimacing while keeping a straight face in front of the “injection room” and our eventual exit through the Eastside of the hospital..meandering the gutter in front of the morgue while making great effort to avoid looking towards its entrance, passing in from of the hospital generator plant and finally sidestepping the fallen Barbed wired fenced by the rear hospital gate.
The JOHN MALLAMs residence come into full view. The great shortcut.

Still holding the Nylon of Zogole this time close to my chest and in suspense of what to expect....

NANNIM JOHN MALLAM
My first thought of NANNIM back then as a kid was who is this BIG “ajebuter boy”.
Nannim had always been big even at age 10.It was the “bigness” that made him in later years be our senior rate goal keeper albeit some questionable goals he conceeded.
Nannim covered all,his size and presence was glaring.
I remembered a statement he made in the year 2000, on our infamous march to Samaru campus, ABU to protest..a protest I knew nothing of but just tagged along.
As we approached aviation college with just some metres to the school gates,we saw ahead a great assembly of mobile police men.Nannim turned to me and said “Emma,we better retreat because if this police men hold me as I big like this,na my beating go plenty pass”

Still holding the Nylon,I saw a large number of kids all around you.You were the cynosure of all eyes. You were a man of the people.Gosh Nannim, you were known all over the “WORLD”.
You had this intriguing personality that wherever you went, people noticed and remembered you.
I almost became famous too by my mere association with you, everyone knew me as Nannim’s cousin back then.
You were a public figure and could have made a good politician.
Brother you could have been anyone.You wanted to be a business man,a politician,a salesman,a military officer,a sportsman,an entertainer,a musician.
I remember our “under the sea” sing along melodies while you do the knee knuckle dance in our 2 by 4 room in Ali Akilu, kongo campus.
Everything. You knew the movers and shakers around.
You knew the generals, their wives and kid’s pastime.
You knew everybody that mattered.
You were a great strategist and psychologist, you understood people.
You were like ALBANY with an ear to the ground only that you and alcohol were never friends.
People warmed up to you.I could not count how many friendly hugs you got(me too by extension)back then in KONGO CAMPUS from ladies. You were a perfect sanguine and a rare bred.
Happy birthday Sir.
TO BE CONTINUED……….

The last encouter with the
director did not come out well.A 10 Years policy trust on the lingering Palestinian- Gaza debicle was being drafted and he was strongly against supporting the creation of a stripe for the passage women and the vulnerable. His position was cited on the 1985 episode were there was an ambush and a lot of lives lost however his opinion was overuled by the Director, order from above was the verdict.

He took the Emergency elevator and hit floor 10.
He got to the director's secretary office and waited.

Five Years ago as part of the Agency's extended work on home land security. There were additional buildings that housed home land dept and the department he heads- Religion Affairs(R.A)
It was a fall from Grace to Grass by many's thoughts. From a top Agent who was tipped for the number one position, who had a stellar performance from bottom- up to this present position.
He headed the Dept of about 143 agents and reports directly to the director.

15years ago congress saw the growing impact of Religion in politics Worldwide and a draft forwarded to senate for the CIA to create a dept of Religion Affairs.

The department have since had covert operations with pro democracy forces in Iran,
the dept also covertly worked against the coming into power of the dreaded mohala group in southern sudan ,covert operations in isreal,Palestine.Pakistan, India, Nigeria, the vertican and many other nations,Churches and establishments.
The dept was nicknamed "the church".

Unlike other departments,"the Church" had a solemelike and subtle approach in its activities, The hush communication amongst its agent like a mass is ongoing.

John looked out the window and smiled.

It's not too long now he thought.

He looked forward to retiring back to his cottage by the lakeside in ARKANSAS-a mile's drive from his inlaws.
Perhaps he could still enrol in Theology school.

A slight cough brought him back to reality.
"The Director will see you now" Jane enthused.

Jane an attoney;graduated suma cum laud from Harvard,is the executive secretary to the Director. Just like him and the director had been in the Agency for 27 Years. She has served 4 previous directors in that capacity.

"Hello John," the Director moved round his vast table for a handshake. How is Joan and the kids?

Whenever John and the Director -Paul Gavel where alone, they spoke like buddies.

They have always been buddies, team mates in soccer in high school, room mates,Both enlisted in the Agency same Year and we're both best draft of the Agency.Paul was his bestman in summer of 86.

"Joan is in Arkansas to visit her sick mum and the Kids are in Colledge. Thanks for asking."

"Smart kids you've got there.Just like their dad. learnt they all got straight As is last semeter exams?"

John shifted his body weight from his weaker left foot to his right foot.Paul noticed. "The torso still hurts?" "I will survive." John retorted.

"Paul what's this all about?".
"I know you didn't just call me here to discuss my kids grades or my leg?"John cut in while looking at the thick file in front of the Director.

"Easy John I know our last meeting did'nt come out right with you.I know your stance as regards Zion and the Arab World but you know my loyalty is to the President and his policy trust."

"You know John, you and I have come a long way , right from high school to joining the Agency together. We have been tops.we are both good at what we do and that is why we are here."

"I know for a fact that if not for the Beirut episode you could have been sitting right where I am sitted."
"I understand that sometimes in life we all have to make selfless decisions and do what is right for humanity even at a cost."
"John you are a good man with a good heart."

"You see, unlike some of us,one of your strong attribute is that a great percentage of your decisions come from your heart._Paul said this while tapping his heart slightly."

"Cut the bullshit Paul.what is this all about.?"

"We got an order from above to get our top man for a new special assignment.."Paul said looking straight in the eyes of John.

"I swear down I could have jumped at this if not for my knees and the Presidents insistence on me to stay put as the mid term elections is fast approacging and not forgetting Putins new policy trust with it's neigjbours. We envisage war."

"You and I know the Democrats will fight against my renomination for the post a second time but I have to stand by the President for the next 14 Months."

"Take this as a pre retirement assignment."

"What is the assignment all about?"John asked.

"Well all I can say at this point is that you have been penciled to do the the work of God."
You have always wanted to, don't you John?"

"There is a copter at at C block ready to take you to La guadia where a jet will fly you to Lagos, Nigeria where you will meet the Bishop. You will be briefed subsequently."

"You Mean Bishop Babalola of the COMSORTIUM?"

"Yes" replied Paul.

As part of the "Church" assignment, every leaders of all major religion was known.

Bishop Babalolas story is a story of Grass to Grace. The founder of Faith Terbanacle. Undoubtedly the Richest preacher Worwide according the Forbes with a networth of over 9billion USD.He has successfully built a mini city in his hometown,OSUN Nigeria with its own Schools, hospitals.security and amenities.with a followership of over 50million worlwide.
He was quoted in Times magazine to have a mandate to build a Church in every 2 streets.

"And what if i refuse to go?"

"John just like as I said this is coming right from the top and you were specifically penciled."

"I hate to put it this way but you see this files infront of me.it contains detailed information on your role or lack of it in Lebanon".

"Common Paul you know I did not act unilaterally.
I acted based on orders."

"Lets not give room for the press to give their own interpretation of it and you know it could get ugly."

"Wait a sec Paul are you blackmailing me?"You know you cant bluff me with this, I have since been debriefed by the agency and a requisition held by both the House committee on homeland security and the senate and I was not found wanting."

"I know all this but the Democrates are digging again.John, I will be kidding you if I say our relationship has been great lately. However, I strongly recommend you give this a shot.
You could be back to catch tomorrow's super bowl final live if the interview with thebbishop does not go well but dont bet on it as you may like the offer."

"The Helicoptor is waiting John"

John took the Emegency elevator. His left tigh started hurting.
He needed to speak to Joan.

The director picked the red telephone by his desk and spoke swiftly.
"he is on his way"

As a veteran with over 27 Years experience and trained for unforseen circumstances, John was caught off guard. The pain in his tigh intensified. The beirut invasion came alive like a traunce.

The Jet taxied into the Hangar.Over a Year Ago the Nigerian Federal Executive Council gave consent to the Consortium to build an Hanger .
The hanger was built on a 21 Acre land that also housed a halipad and a four star guest house for its occasional VIP guest.

It has been a humid period and the sudden drizzle of rain brought great expectations to the locals. The CONSORTIUM'S Director was puting on a suit.he watched himself over the 200 by 150 inches mirror by the left side of the Madonna of the Meadows, mother of christ Renaissance painting.John Graham was not sure of the sudden excitement in him,the almost perfect Replica of the Jan Eycks painting, the forthcoming event or the sudden more Grays on his head and chin.
He moved towards to office block to prepare and wait.
Great men were expected. He glanced at the file in front of him and smirked. It has been a while his high hurt.
It was the first time he will be meeting the C5.
The only difference in his attire from when he was at Langley was the CONSORTIUM's insigma just beneath the knot of his tie and top right side of his suit's breast pocket.

LANGLEY -WASHINGTON D.C

This Years' Winter was hitting hard.Report from the Weather Service had it it was going under -4 and beyond in the next one week.

Having worked for the CIA for 25 Years.he was getting irratated by the Agency and the White house. For the First time in over 5 decades, there exist a pro East regime.Besides the Nixon support for the far left in the 50's there has never been a more glaring romance for the far East like it is presently.

There was hush talk around on the impact of the G5 Islamic role on the last election. The
President has however denied this.Dammit.If only they know what they are getting involved in.

Revelatio chapter 13:1-9

At 58 John was considered meek and humble by many.He is average height a little bit chubby in body and face.many mistake him for a priest.A family man and a lover of art works. He met his wife Joan.Half French half German in the summer of 1986 at the grand palais in Paris during the exhibition of the MONUMENTA 2 by the Legendary conceptual artist Daniel Buren.joan was one of the administrative staff during the exhibition and it was love at first sight he got married in the fall of 1988 in a small Anglican Church by the bank of Seine river.Despite the "stained glass windows" they could still see the Louvre.it was a dream wedding for both of them.John, Deep, detailed, analytical and intelligent man.he graduated summa cum laude from UCLA and was amongst the best draft into the CIA recruits in the summer of 1998
he was born and babtized Anglican.
He grew up during the great lithugical renewal movement while the Anglican church made efforts towards conforming to modern ways his father was stoic and continued in the traditional summons until his passing away in 1978
His elder brother was also a reverend and was enlisted in the fall of 1939 during world war
2.He got missing in action.John has made effort through the Department of POW/MIA Accounting Agency(DPAA) in tracking his brother and he has faith his brother will
return.
The ring of the phone rattled him back to reality. He picked the call after the 2nd ring.
"Good Morning Sir.the director wants you."
"I will be there shortly" replied John

ADDENDUM

The Consortium is about Power, Religion, friendship, Conspiracy, Murder and great suspense.
It will be a book that one will not put down until it finishes.
Men of God who are billionaires from all over the World coming together to form a group in order to control World affairs.
They decided on forming this group since there exist the OIC(Organisation of Islamic Countries) and the Christian Countries have no such to protect their interest.
The Pope, World powers and the UN recognizes this group informally.
They are king and President makers.
This book may be controversial as many will relate this characters to certain Individuals.
The CIA's activities may also be delved into further bringing controversies.
But at this Point I tell all over the World that the characters, plots and activities are FICTIONAL.
Most information solely emanates from the authour's fertile imagination.
As I typed earlier the book is still being written.
I have been able to have a draft of about 20,000 words.
I am hopeful I get it up to 60,000 to 70,000 words.
Please I will need your support and encouragement here.

THE BEGINNING

The Benguela wind tugged the A360 concord, slightly towards the East as the jet began a descent but the aircraft passengers were unperturbed. They were not only men of God but were being piloted by safe hands in an equally safe aircraft.
The Pilots have a combined flying hour of 36,000 flight hours. They were top flying instructors at Ethiopian Airways School of Aviation before they were pauched.

Unlike its penultimate model. the A360 was built with all the trappings of a luxury home in the sky.
Its Pratt and Whitney turbo engine has a thrust of 20,000HP. its beaklike nose and wings invertedly slanted to improve speed and could cover Lagos to London in 5 hours. Great considerations were put in its balancing taking into consideration its customized add-on gadgets, hence, its vertical and horizonzal stabilizers along side its trim control were enhanced to give a controllled craft.
The A360 was customed built by airbus and according to the taste of its clients . In 2018 its first unit was manufactured and delivered to the King of Brunie.since then only 9 other units have been manufactured.
Besides the Customary Airbus 3 gray pattern on the mid body and tail, every other item was white to depict purity .The leather 360 degree swivel chair that could be converted to a bedding.High powered Apple satellite compact ku band communication system running on a 18 GHz and connected to the avionics to enhance speed in commubication.Unlike its penultimate,.its cockpit was spacious. As the jet was designed for a 14 hours flight stretch.the bedding section was in place for rest amongst its 3 pilots

Good day Nairalandanders,
I have been an old member here(far back 2005) or so.
As a matter of fact I got my present Job via Nairaland.
This place is where I get virtually all my News and hardly a day passby I don't visit this site.
Work has been pretty hectic and takes most part of my time. This has impacted negatively in one of my favorite pass times-Writing.
I have always wanted to write a novel.I cannot count how many stories that have been born and died in my head all this years without putting ink to paper.
However, I have summoned courage and there is something presently on the works.
I will be delivering something unique and different.
Something we are not used to from our clime.
It will be suspense full, Bold and intriguing.
I will be presenting the piece here bit by bit as it is still ongoing.
Why I am bringing this here is because Nairaland is my first love. Then to create awareness on the CONSORTIUM.Create a fan base and seek advise as I am new in this Venture.
Remember what I will be posting is part of the Novel in it's RAW FORM.WITHOUT AN EDITOR.
Hence a lot of grammatical errors maybe herein.
Enjoy.....
Politics / Re: 2023: You Will Never Be President, Igbos Will Reject You – Ohanaeze Tells Atiku by Tarokboy: 9:25am On May 29, 2022
Atiku is a smart/strategic Politician.A man who has been in active politics for over 3 decades.A VP who schooled his principal,Obasanjo in politics.See the way he won the PDP primaries.Did you see him junketing around making noise in the name of consulting?

Guys be the first to hear this. Our next President will most likely be Atiku.
Most Northerners will not see an Atiku on the Ballot Paper and instead vote a Tinubu or a Good luck.
The Northerners are wired so.
You will see that even the Northern elites(PDP/APC) and commoners will troop enmasse to vote an Atiku come next Year.

Where is the umpire in INEC from?

Let me further bust your bubbles, the Peter Obi you see presently making waves especially from the youths is probably strategically working for Atiku with the aim to break/share votes from the candidate from the South South or South West of the APC.
Now APC is in a big dilemma because they understand the politics involve.
If they give Tinubu, forget it,Atiku will best him because Tinubu's Vice who will be a Christian from the North will be a featherweight(no known impactful Northern Christian Politician)
That is where Jonathan now comes to the picture,A Jonathan with a strong Muslim VP from the North will impact.
Forget an Osibanjo,Forget an Ameachi( This are lightweights) compared to an Atiku on the National level.
Here comes additional problem for APC,Tinubu who has said that being President is his lifelong ambition and Perhaps his only opportunity if not given the APC ticket will sabotage APC chances further.
Watch out for Atiku people.

Sports / Super Eagles Player Rating:Nigeria Vs Egypt by Tarokboy: 10:49pm On Jan 11, 2022
Great Overall level of play by the Eagles.

Okoye(Goal Keeper)

Though not really tested. However, a good outing for the young lad.Good positioning and composure.Made a good save with his left foot from the only shot at goal by Salah. Many could have been beaten for being idle for the greater part of the match.
However,he should reduce not always lying flat with the ball after a save,it makes him look like a baby goal tender.
Rating 7/10

Zaidu(Left back)

This lads' most impressive game I have ever watched(including his Porto matches).I have always nicknamed him the galloping leftback.
He was so stable today with great passes down the left flanks, feeding Simon and the midfielders.
To me his most outstanding display was his marking out of Salah.Salah became ordinary today.Saidu accomplished his pre-match boast

Rating 8.5/10

Omeruo

Great and composed game by Omeruo. His compactness and combination with Saidiu gave a formidable blockage of Salah and Treziguet's impasse.
He played like he had a point to prove. He eventually did. However,he needs to work on his stamina as he gassed out at some point.
Solid display
Rating 8/10

Ekong:

Top performance from our Captain.
He "bossed" the defence today and no error (quite unusual).
Maintained a high line defence and coordinated the defensive-midfielders very well.
Ranking 8/10

NDIDI/ARIBO

To be honest,we got it right with our defensive midfielders.Obviously these duos' outstanding performances made the defenders do little today.we virtually were in control of the midfield from start to finish, with an occasional bust in attack by ARIBO, we were good to go.
We could have scored more,if ARIBO did not start playing deep towards the tail end of both halves.
The beauty in their performances today was how clean their tackles were.
Top players we got in the midfield.Hope to see NDIDI with Man U soon. The lad has proven his mettle and deserves to be at the top.
Ratings 8.7 for both.

Simon:
Ahhh,we got a baller here.Clearly he was our man of the match. You could hear the crowd roar whenever he got the ball.
Kai,there was this amazing pass and turn he made that was a beauty!!!
Great balance and dribble, though there is room for improvement on his final third.
A great display overall.
Rating 9/10

CHukwueze:
Imagine a Chukwueze do what Simon did today! It could have been something else.
Perhaps his coming back from injury affected his "A"game. You could see bluntness.
I see him improving as the tournament progresses.
A good outing nevertheless.
Rating 7.5/10

Aina(right back)
A good outing for the Torino lad.No doubt,Italy has improved Aina's defensive makeup. His throwings, overlapping and the his ability to use both foot were impressive.
Great bust from the back at some point in the match and an injury prone risk it all crossing to Awoniyi that hit the crossbar.
Rating: 8/10

Awoniyi:
Strong and held the ball really good.
Good understanding with Iheanacho.
Was unlucky not to score.
Great prospects.

8.5/10

Iheanacho
clearly the most intelligent player today.Forming a great understanding with Awoniyi,Good vision, great goal.
Supported the midfield occasionally.
Rating 9/10

Ejuke: 20mins play time.
Great run at some point.Needs to raise his head more often and pass the ball.

Rating 6/10

Sadiq 20mins play time

Rating 5/10

Nwakali: 10mins play time.
Doubt if I saw him touch the ball.

Rating 4/10

Ajayi: 10 mins play time

Rating 4/10

Iwobi: 2 mins play time.
Nice header to safety towards tail end of the match.

Rating 4/10

Technical Team/Manager/Conclusion
I like the fact that when we attack,we use a 2-4-4 and a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1while we defend. This is simply because we have mobile left and right backs and also mobile midfielders.
I like the fact that we substituted players when fatigue was setting in, unlike our World cup match against Argentina when it was left too late.
I like the fact that we played clean football,no unnecessary fouls committed (perhaps no Etebo and Onazi.laughs)These unnecessary fouls had cost us dearly in times past.Even Ndidi played clean.
However,we need to be more clinical upfront.
The match could have easily been 3 to 4 goals in our favour.
Finally,I like the white outfit of our technical and support team.

Rating 8/10

Sports / Has There Been A Nigerian Chess Grand Master? by Tarokboy: 10:22am On Apr 02, 2021
Nigerians are known to be one of the smartest people on Earth,However,to the best of my knowledge,we have never produced a Chess Grandmaster at home or abroad. Not only so,the entire West Africa with a population of approximately 300 million does not have one.
Why is this so?
This calls for sober reflections

Travel / Re: Share Your Worst Or Funny Travel Experience by Tarokboy: 2:37pm On Aug 26, 2020
4 years ago I was scheduled for a program in Zurich, Switzerland.First time traveling abroad.
My Flight was enroute Charles De Gaul Airport,Paris.
Arriving Paris I got a rude cultural shock.Every body was minding their business and on the move.I was at a loss to locate the terminal to my connecting flight to Zurich and time was running out.
Baba I started panicking.I approached a couple of black guys and I could swear they gave me wrong direction.
Luckily,I located a customer care rep. and showed her my ticket for directions, she muted an inaudible direction using French.I could only understand her pointing to a train like vehicle(TRAM) to board to my terminal.Baba I follow people jump inside TRAM ohhh and not fully sure of where I was headed.People were occasionally alighting, still I stayed put.The TRAM took me to the last stop(after like 200metres) and started a return back to my starting point.
In a haze of confusion, one of my inner Angels whispered to me to look at my ticket and the signage at every stop of the TRAM.Finally I was able to self reconcile that every stop has a direction and I am to alight at the number tied to my flight ticket number.
You have TO FOLLOW the signage to your destination I realized.

Your card details (PAN,CVV2 etc)was compromised.Again most times before a web payment is completed an OTP number is sent to your phone to conclude(not in all sites though)

It could be someone close to you who had access to your card and phone or you may have compromised the details online yourself.
Wait for the Bank's investigation and please note that there is a provision for chargeback form that can be completed by you for a refund on such transactions(chargeback refund takes approx 60days).

Sports / BRAZIL Vs NIGERIA:Players rating by Tarokboy: 8:57pm On Oct 13, 2019
Great performance by the boys.

Uwaziem
Uwaziem has reiterate my believe in him for a first team shirt after a splendid Nations cup performance where he was only dribbled pass just once.
As for me,he is currently our best defender, confident and intelligent.
He got good cover from Chukwueze who came back to assist.
Only minus with him is that he does not over lap to support attack but again who needed an overlap with the caliber of Brazilian attackers. How I wish he can be tried in the Central defensive role. 8/10

AJAYI.
Nigeria has discovered another solid defender who despite his height is nimble footed, intelligent and sharp. His arial prowess is superb.A good attribute about him is that he is not a "defend and kick" defender like ekong and Omeruo. He can ball.Hardly do you see him make those silly defensive miss of the ball Ekong and Omeruo are now synonymous with occasionally. He needs more playtime with the Eagles though. My dream 5 and 6 should be Uwaziem/Ajayi 7.5/10 for AJAYI

Chukwueze
The kid sensation. No doubt presently our best attacking player.Intelligent, fast, great stamina and control.Only minus is his finishing which needs fine tunning. You could hear the gasp of anticipation from the spectators whenever the ball gets to him.He was never afraid to "forge"ahead whenever he gets hold of the ball just like he plays for Villarreal. He made the Brazilian left wing back who was equally good look ordinary. He was also coming back to support defence. No doubt he covered the grounds most for Nigeria in the match.
Alas,we are going to get a first World class player in this boy(bookmark this)8.5/10

ARIBOR.
2 goals in 2 matches for this exciting left footed player for Nigeria.Did you guys see the leg work that heralded his goal?He is not afraid to put forth his leg to get the goals(same in Ukraine's match)He can score, one attribute we are missing in our midfielders lately. His performance was good in the first half and final 3rd.He deserves a starting position in the Eagles. 7.5/10

UZOHO.

Many atimes,I seat back and wonder why he was not our first choice in Nations cup.
Confident, great height, hardly beaten on arial goal bound targets.Has improved on saving low bound targets.only flaws are dead balls(corner kicks, penalties and free kick) positioning and timing.which unfortunately resulted to his injury today.
Wishing him quick recovery. 7/10

OSIMEMHIN
The next best thing after slice bread. He has been prolific upfront for club this season.strong, fast and passionate.Coincidentally, his form and limelight picked up with the exit of Odion Ighallo. In the 6 goals attempt on goals against Brazil today he had 3 and also contributed in our goal build up.As long as he remains passionate and hardworking, since the talent is there,he will definitely go places.8/10
