Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Brazil 1 - 1: International Friendly On 13th October 2019 by Tarokboy: 8:32pm On Oct 13, 2019
Great performance by the boys.

Uwaziem
Uwaziem has reiterate my believe in him for a first team shirt after a splendid Nations cup performance where he was only dribbled pass just once.
As for me,he is currently our best defender, confident and intelligent.
He got good cover from Chukwueze who came back to assist.
Only minus with him is that he does not over lap to support attack but again who needed an overlap with the caliber of Brazilian attackers. How I wish he can be tried in the Central defensive role. 8/10

AJAYI.
Nigeria has discovered another solid defender who despite his height is nimble footed, intelligent and sharp. His arial prowess is superb.A good attribute about him is that he is not a "defend and kick" defender like ekong and Omeruo. He can ball.Hardly do you see him make those silly defensive miss of the ball Ekong and Omeruo are now synonymous with occasionally. He needs more playtime with the Eagles though. My dream 5 and 6 should be Uwaziem/Ajayi 7.5/10 for AJAYI

Chukwueze
The kid sensation. No doubt presently our best attacking player.Intelligent, fast, great stamina and control.Only minus is his finishing which needs fine tunning. You could hear the gasp of anticipation from the spectators whenever the ball gets to him.He was never afraid to "forge"ahead whenever he gets hold of the ball just like he plays for Villarreal. He made the Brazilian left wing back who was equally good look ordinary. He was also coming back to support defence. No doubt he covered the grounds most for Nigeria in the match.
Alas,we are going to get a first World class player in this boy(bookmark this)8.5/10

ARIBOR.
2 goals in 2 matches for this exciting left footed player for Nigeria.Did you guys see the leg work that heralded his goal?He is not afraid to put forth his leg to get the goals(same in Ukraine's match)He can score, one attribute we are missing in our midfielders lately. His performance was good in the first half and final 3rd.He deserves a starting position in the Eagles. 7.5/10

UZOHO.

Many atimes,I seat back and wonder why he was not our first choice in Nations cup.
Confident, great height, hardly beaten on arial goal bound targets.Has improved on saving low bound targets.only flaws are dead balls(corner kicks, penalties and free kick) positioning and timing.which unfortunately resulted to his injury today.
Wishing him quick recovery. 7/10

OSIMEMHIN
The next best thing after slice bread. He has been prolific upfront for club this season.strong, fast and passionate.Coincidentally, his form and limelight picked up with the exit of Odion Ighallo. In the 6 goals attempt on goals against Brazil today he had 3 and also contributed in our goal build up.As long as he remains passionate and hardworking, since the talent is there,he will definitely go places.8/10

Collins : 6/10
Ekong: 6.5/10
Ndidi: 6.5/10
Iwobi: 5. 5/10 (disappointing)
Simon Moses: 6/10
Azeez (no much playtime):5/10
Bonaventure(no much playtime):5/10
OnuchusadNMPT)4/10
Reserve gollie(NMPT):5/10
Coach:7/10

Crime / Re: Another Lady Killed In A Hotel In Port Harcourt, CCTV Captures Killer (Video) by Tarokboy: 8:49am On Sep 18, 2019
Sad!
It should be mandated that if two people go into a hotel room and one subsequently wants to leave,a check on the other partner's wellbeing must be confirmed before allowing checkout, just like in Thailand.

Politics / Re: Yakubu Mohammed Kicks As Yahaya Bello Wins Kogi APC Governorship Ticket by Tarokboy: 12:34pm On Aug 30, 2019
As a staunch supporter of Buhari's led APC,I feel saddened by the nomination of Yahaya Bello. To support, does not make me blind to abnormalise.Kogi has not been lucky with good managers at the apex state level with the exception of late Prince Audu.I fail to understand the challenges that make Yahaya Bello not to perform. So sad.I felt the party could have adopted the Ambode exit style like coup.Pray we don't loose to the opposition because as things stand,it may be tough for APC to retain KOGI.

Celebrities / Re: Yvonne Jegede Invites Men She Rejected Earlier To Come And Try Again by Tarokboy: 12:02pm On Aug 30, 2019
Some men are not wired to go back.True life story.Back then in the Uni,I toasted only 2 girls. Florence and Bose.Asked Florence out in 100 level and she said No.Waited for 2 years and summoned up courage with a customized card with an inscription "even a King cannot stay alone,be my Queen" to ask Bose out in 300 level, again she said No.

Fast forward in my 400 level, with additional swag and some great designer baffs from Kontagora with a sprinkle of bon bon maliziia from Habila my room mate,I bumped into FLO and she was like "you know as for your asking me out back then, when a girl says NO,she does not necessary mean NO"I looked at her and smiled, then responded "Nn gan pyal nabet, nle vong yaket"

Fast forward,4 years after grad, fresh out from training with a multinational.bumped into Bose in a car park in Shopright.Had a chit chat and exchanged pleasantries,on leaving, she said,"The Queen is still available".I laughed and said "n gan pyal nabet,Nle vong yaket"

Why all the above epistles?some men are not just wired to go back.

God Bless Mr President as you go about your duties to Make Nigeria better.Never you relent as much work needs to be done.
Do not leave Toyota premises without getting hands on workings of their models and principles as it can be of value in accessing, analyzing and evaluating outcomes of the KPI recently placed on the new Government ministers.

Toyota has a good thought process.Key into it.

We are gradually being consumed by Evil forces bent on crippling Nigeria.Bitter tales emanating from Isi Uzo to Wakuri, from Ijebu to Takum, from Langtang to Adani. The ground is sinking.People are dying like chickens. This is absolutely dishertning and worrisome.

Government needs to call for a state of emergency ASAP on security.A stitch in time will keep the rest of us alive.

Crime / Re: Court Convicts Four Yahoo Boys In Lagos (Photos) by Tarokboy: 10:48am On Aug 30, 2019
If you watch closely, you would have noticed that there has been a determined and consistent clampdown of "G boys" by EFCC in Nigeria even before the "famous 80" catch by the FBI.Most definitely there is a coordinated drive by both security outfits to tackle this menace.

My take: There will be a reduction in the "activities of the boys" as many will go underground. However,as long as our value system continues its downward trajectory, unemployemnet persist, corruption and greed alive, the security guys need to prepare for a long fight.

P.S crime does not pay.

Africa and Nigeria is plagued by security challenges.
President Buhari is committed in tackling this challenges head on.
Despite our seeming recent security challenges,Nigeria will prevail.

So sad.I could not sleep yesterday night.I never believed I will be so emotional for super eagles. So much expectation lost.
Let us still retain the coach.
Great lessons have been learnt.

Literature / The Redneck by Tarokboy: 6:24pm On May 31, 2016
I abruptly stopped in my tracks as I entered the restroom.Right in front of me was a 9 inches redneck agama lizard.I had to move closer to ensure it was outside and had no way to slip through the net into my restroom.
As kids growing up in the barracks,we took delight hunting for lizards with our catapults.Mischievously cruel in our actions but fun we thought it was.
We were bounty killers of the reptiles at some point;killers without reward.
A seemingly reward came our way one day out of the blues as a neighbour two blocks from my parents came requesting for a redneck.Just one redneck to be used as condiment in preparing a therapy to cure a chronic cough. As the team lead as many knew me to be,I was given the contract. We mobilised and at dusk,we delivered a bagful. We 'fantastically'surpassed our target. It was a massacre.
It is day 4 and the redneck is still hibernating in the same position as the first day.Is it dead I thought, but it is still hanging I reasoned. The dead do not hang I finally concluded. To test my hypothesis,I took a step forward and gave the redneck a poke with the butt of my toothbrush. It moved. I breathed a sigh of relieve.I didn't want it dead.
I have become a man whose one of his convictions towards living things is 'live and let's live'as long as you go about your business causing no harm or impediment to me,and peaceful,I am cool with you.
Many times I see wall geckos do the sprints in my corridor,do the waltz in my kitchen and subsequently do the spiders for desert.I am also cool with that.I give it to the geckos though, they have a way of going about their business like spirits;they are there and they are not.

As I drove home,I wondered if the redneck goes playing, hunting or chasing female lizards during the day time and come back to my window as a restpoint or it has remained there from dawn to dusk since I first saw it?Unfortunately, work does not give me the luxury to cure my curiosity.
Why my net,why not the other 32 windows?what makes my window appealing?Could it be the webs lately gradually building up around my room, hence a perfect hunting ground for insects?Perhaps my net was made with a different material like they do the water bed?perhaps my location,a secure haven against predators,or perhaps it knows I am a repentant serial lizard killer hence no other perfect haven than my net?
My thoughts ran wild.
Day 18.The redneck is still here.
It is here to stay I guess.
