HealthRe: Your Eyes Are Yellow. You Think It's Malaria. It's Not. by tasalanoni(m): 3:10pm On May 13
While jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes) can be caused by hepatitis, severe malaria can also cause that by breaking down red blood cells and generating bilirubin as a product.
That said, jaundice is serious and life threatening and its presentation must be checked out to rule out more serious underlying causes like hepatitis and other diseases of the liver.

Without thrift, where I for dey? Nigerians generally look down on thrift wears but I even pray that people don't ever open their eyes to the value. I don't mean chinese okrika. I mean first grade London. Once you have the eyes to recognize quality, you'll look fresh without breaking the bank
RomanceRe: Is It True That Some Women Bring Wealth/glory After Marrige. by tasalanoni(m): 8:39am On Apr 06
How many doors did the woman open for her father and brothers?
A wise person tackles problems from the readily seen and explainable before moving to the unseen realms.
In many cases, marriage brings clarity of purpose and direction. Basic primordial masculine instincts of provision and protection of dependents kick in immediately a man settles into marriage and begins to have children. Decisions especially financial ones are more carefully considered before activation, income levels previously sufficient for just himself now become evidently insufficient to run a new home with dependents and a sense of urgency to exert himself more awakens, opportunities previously inaccessible to him may open up especially in circles where marriage inspires confidence in associates and investors.
If all these forces are combined in the right way and an improvement is witnessed, brainwashed folks will run to the unseen realms and the woman is given the glory for something she played no role in for the most part.

so you finally wwoke up from the slumber. In terms of mega wealthy people, dangote will neutralize the most wealthy 1,000 igbo businessmen.
His people are getting VAT, religious subsidy, agric subsidy and more every year. Can Igbo boast of those?
Let the playing field be kept level without interferences from Nepotistic leaders and we'll watch Dangote and other Northern Oligarchs die out in less than 5 years. You think Importation is the destiny of the Igbos?
We were pushed into buying and selling by the blindness of Nigerian leaders who have refused to create enabling environments for industrialization. If we leave this tragedy called Nigeria and have a sovereign Igbo state, Biafra will be the Japan of Africa.

Only infrastructures

But no active manufacturing industry like we have in the south.

Or it is because it's the national capital?

quote author=tasalanoni post=138897389]Abuja is one hell of an overrated place. It doesn't have its own economy beyond politics and looting. People who haven't traveled to civilized countries would equate it to a paradise.. Everything there requires one stupid Aboki connection or the other.
If I were to be given the option of living in the best parts of Abuja or similar living standards places in Lagos, I'd choose Lagos anyday anytime.
Real dumb ass city. Fake life, weak economy outside of politics, zero mental stimulation and ingenuity beyond real estate, scrambling for connection, lazy folks heavily dependent on stolen public funds, no active industries. Just infrastructure that preserves the ruling class.
It has nothing to do with being the nation's capital. It's more of a question of the priority of a people. In industrialized countries, capital cities nearly always double as manufacturing hubs and active economic centres. It's a different case in Nigeria where looting and misrule are key priorities, hence the capital city also becomes the epicenter of institutionalized criminality.
Everything about Abuja reflects this reality and that's why luxury sells well without the productivity driving it.. just loot, loot and continue looting.

CrimeRe: Ozoro Rape Festival Scandal: Chief Priest, Oramudhu Leaders Arrested by tasalanoni(m): 10:06pm On Mar 20
While every genuine effort at building safe, healthy societies is acknowledged, we must be very careful in order not to promote negative stereotypes about an individual, a group of people or a place through misrepresentations.

I'm not from Ozoro and I've never been there but the most basic common sense is all I require to know that there's a wide disconnect between what is being peddled and the real facts as it relates to the incident. There's no society across the length and breadth of the Delta state and the South East where such extremely despicable evil will be tolerated, let alone made into a festival. Contrary to the circulating version of the story, I strongly perceive it must have been a festival like several others held to commemorate an important event in the history of the people but rather than proceed lawfully, some evil men hijacked the day and expressed their tendencies in the most irresponsible fashion.
Such ugly behaviors do not represent an entire people nor their identity. As such, the perpetrators must be made to face the law without exposing the generality of the people to negative stereotype.

AgricultureRe: Importation Wipes Out 90 Rice Mills by tasalanoni(m): 1:50pm On Mar 16
yemre:
The rice farmers should not even say anything. Former president Buhari did everything possible to make sure they're okay by placing an embargo on rice importation.

He actually wanted us to produce what we eat. But trust my greedy Nigerian farmers now. A bag of rice we were buying for N8,500 quickly moved to N30,000 during his first term and climbed to about N80,000 before the end of his second tenure.

Would we say that Buhari did a bad thing by trying to upgrade the farmers and also encouraging Nigerians to patronize the local farmers?

They caused the president to bring back the importation of rice because the farmers held all of us by the jugular just because the former president tried to encourage them.
That's an extremely reckless and uninformed assertion to make. The Buhari administration rolled out different schemes aimed at achieving local sufficiency but the question is "How much of it got to the farmers?" The funds were looted by the same people who were charged with the responsibility of dispensing it. Farms inputs that were to be distributed to farmers had "NOT FOR SALE " boldly written on the bags ended being sold by the very same people.
They rich commodity traders mopped up every grain in the market at harvest to store and sell later for bigger margins even at the expense of farmers who were struggling to pay off debts incurred during the farming season.
AgricultureRe: Importation Wipes Out 90 Rice Mills by tasalanoni(m): 1:35pm On Mar 16
Beautifulday:
Then something is wrong with Nigeria system of production.

The imported rice are bought. At what price that the local counterparts can't compete favourably?

The imported rice are transported from host nation. Initiate logistics cost isn't available in Nigerian rice production.

The imported rice incurs clearing cost which Nigerian rice do not suffer.

The imported rice has more processing value than local rice. Processing cost

The big question.

How is imported rice cheaper than local rice

Local man is confused
That is where a responsible leadership comes in. I'm a farmer and I can tell you with every measure of certainty that the price difference entirely based on yield advantage..
In major rice producing countries across the world, farming isn't a blind practice of scattering grains and prayerfully waiting for a harvest. It is real science! Paddy fields are properly leveled to precision to guarantee water distribution, land preparation is excellent for achieve the fine silt necessary to eliminate poor germination and guarantee reccomend plant population per area, seeds are carefully produced to eliminate undesirable genetic traits, nutrient supplementation is data driven and not reckless, irrigation is available to support natural rain feeding in drought spells, harvest operations are timely and silos are accessible to minimize post-harvest losses, security is priority without farmer-herder hostilities. The average per hectare yield across Nigeria hovers around 2tons while an upwards of 8tons is normal in many parts of the Asian rice bowl ecology.

Rather than invest in land development, irrigation, input subsidies, government storage and buyback/ end consumer subsidy, and tackling insecurity, the government of the day chose the seemingly easier but unsustainable option of importation. It all screams politics and never people or policy driven leadership!

Topic: Your Environment And Sexual Temptation

Scripture:
"Make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires." - Romans 13:14

*THE PURE WORD*

Intentionally designing your physical environment to support purity rather than enable temptation is wise stewardship. Your environment significantly affects your vulnerability to sexual sin.

Environmental design includes: keeping computers in common areas rather than private rooms, eliminating privacy locks on bedroom doors, positioning furniture so screens are visible to others, removing televisions from bedrooms, and organizing spaces to minimize opportunities for isolated temptation.

It also includes what you keep in your environment: no magazines or books with sexual content, no apps that provide easy access to pornography, no contact information for people who tempt you sexually, and no reminders of past sexual sin that trigger unhealthy patterns.

Your environment should make purity easy and sin difficult, not the other way around. If your current environment makes sexual sin easy and convenient, change it. Move furniture, install accountability software, remove devices from certain rooms, or make other changes.

Environmental design isn't paranoia—it's wisdom. You're recognizing your vulnerabilities and proactively protecting against them. This demonstrates spiritual maturity, not weakness.

Also consider digital environments: social media feeds, streaming service recommendations, and online communities you participate in. These digital environments affect you as much as physical ones. Curate them intentionally to support purity.

Regular evaluation of your environment is necessary. As temptations change or new technologies emerge, adjust your environment accordingly. Keep asking: "Does my environment support or undermine my commitment to purity?"

*Confession:*
I acknowledge that sex is a sacred act, designed by God for divine purposes. By His grace, I will honor and uphold its sanctity. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Na your kind person dey do worse. Forget all this online talks

CrimeRe: Simi Dragged Online After Tiktoker Mirabel Admits Faking Rape Claim by tasalanoni(m):
I just got off the phone with my toxic, feminist girlfriend after almost an hour of heated exchange bordering on this topic.
I've always made it clear without equivocation that I'm not an apologist of rape or any form of sexual abuse and that It must be treated with extreme seriousness regardless of the gender of the victim or perpetrator.

Whenever a case of sexual abuse goes viral and a woman is the victim, these rabid dogs called feminists hog the space and call for the male perpetrator's head but when a man is the victim, they all look away and even make jokes about how it wasn't an abuse but willful participation and enjoyment on his part.

Even more disturbing is when a man is falsely accused and his reputation becomes desecrated, their once loud voices become muffled and you hear silly things in the line of what that oshodi Deline Dion wrote.
Only a few months ago, the story made rounds of how a man molested his two little daughters in Enugu. After it turned out to be a false accusation orchestrated by the the man's witch of a wife, all the hags and whores keyboard feminists disappeared in a flash leaving the poor man's reputation in tatters. Not a line of apology was tendered, no legal redress, no legal consequences for the idiot of a wife.

Avoid feminists at all cost especially their Nigerian variants. They are mostly old, hungry, angry, deluded beings with a bloated sense of their worth. I can't wait to exit this hell of a relationship.

Death death death ☠️. That d only thing worst that poverty
I wonder how people reason. How is a natural process that is a part of life be a bad thing in itself? Death is the end of a natural cycle and marks the beginning of another.
Everything dies. Animals die when their physical bodies become old and incapable of sustaining the development of their real essence. Plants die when they complete their own cycle. The earth itself is also subject to evolution and dissolution. The sun will die someday. Nothing is creation is eternal in the sense of not undergoing a physical end to its cycle and beginning another cycle anew.

Death can only be tragic when it occurs prematurely as a consequence of negligence or recklessness.

There are several things worse than poverty
Terminal Illnesses and accidents causing physical incapacitation.
Wars.
Some deep emotional traumas.
Certain psychic disorder.
Some disabilities.
Etc.....

Enugu should be number #37. Dat state no get water at all.
Enugu has one of the highest quality underground water reserves in the whole of Africa, not just Nigeria. Nigerian Breweries is sited in Enugu, Aquafina is here, coca-cola and 7up bottlling companies also operate. These are companies that rely heavily on water for their operations. The reason it appears there's an acute shortage is that these underground reserves are in aquifers that are far away from the city, hence the widespread use of water transport tankers for distribution.

If you need quality water in Enugu, e dey.
It's just costly.

I bought 50kg of rice for 58k in Ilorin 3 days ago. Stop the lies and propaganda. Go to any market in the SW price of rice is around 60k.

Photoshoping bags of rice and attaching price tags to them to paint the government bad is wickedness. BAT will succeed and Nigeria will be great again whether you like it or not
It takes irreversible madness to support Tinubu and anything APC but I'll attempt to educate you a little on this particular issue.
The recent drop in prices got absolutely nothing to do with your dead local policy of duty waiver. It was largely the result of international forces in the rice trade, especially India. Before now, India enacted a 20% duty on rice exports in a bid to discourage exports and ensure local sufficiency. This policy combined with the weak Naira made imports into Nigeria very unattractive. Coupled with our local production insufficiency, prices skyrocketed. Last year, the monsoon season made India and several other rice producing countries witness very high yields that hadn't been seen in nearly a decade, and consequently, prices crashed. To protect local farmers and stabilize prices, Indian lifted the 20% duty on exports and Nigeria took advantage of the waiver and flooded the market. But it's a shortlived respite because India has re-enacted the duty. Expect prices to start soaring again in the coming months.
