FamilyRe: Life After Subsidy Removal - 8 Things To Help You by tasalanoni(m): 1:59pm On Jun 07, 2023
9 Question the necessity of whatever you are doing and let it guide your decisions. Don't be driven by a sense of luxury. Rather be driven by a sense of necessity.

10. Carry out a proper power/energy auditing of your house and place of work, identify the energy sinks and block them.

11 Go for less power intensive appliances and switch to lower power rating systems to drive them.

12 There's no better time to invest in renewables than now. The upfront cost is usually discouraging but the long term benefits outweigh it.

You're into classical music? That's nice. I am too.
I can't quantify the benefits I derive from listening to classicals. Is it the calmness of mind, inner peace, lightness, inspiration from luminous spheres, comfort in distress?

Spotify is the best thing that happened to music..🙏🙏

Are you like a 100 years old or a walking vintage? Those are songs and instrumentalists/ vocals my father loved listening to.

He loved YANNI because of the sounds from his strange and rare flutes and instruments. I can't even recall most of the names of those classical artists. Enya songs was like a morning wake up ritual. Gush I miss him.
Your Dad must have been a good man who had an upward gaze and a longing for higher things. It takes a refined taste to appreciate classical music. Only classicals have the ability to create an atmosphere of peace, ambience and bliss.. No other genre of music comes close..

Those are the musics that can be therapeutic not the noise many praise.
It's so bad how we've strayed from real life and go after sham!

When it is said in the bible that saul was healed with David's music, I don't imagine the possibility in the light of what we call music today..
It must have been a kind of music in the lines of Handels, Bachs, Beethovens Corellis etc.

Flavor, olamide, portable, naira Marley, etc can't make music capable of such therapeutic benefits.

Music from masters.
Their music came from luminous spheres!

They weren't inspired by the base, animal sensual cravings that permeate the music of today.

Good music is timeless. Whenever you listen to it, it inspires either a joyful longing or an inner calmness. That is something not possible with the distasteful tunes of today. They are only enjoyed by our coarse, outer senses only to fizzle out immediately another one is released.

Should add Yanni to the list
That's another music genius too
Music/RadioRe: Mention A Song That's Not Popular But Impacts You Greatly by tasalanoni(m): 1:56pm On May 08, 2023
Classicals by Handel, J S Bach, corelli, Hadyn, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Galway Flutes, Locatelli..

I like the fact that they aren't very popular. I can't afford to have them desecrated by our distasteful appreciation of music.

RomanceRe: Who Should Be More Excited On A Wedding Day, Bride Or Groom? (Video, Photo) by tasalanoni(m):
Marriage is a woman's greatest laurel- NwaAmaikpe.

Only a fool celebrates his conquest and enslavement. Marriage of the modern society is rigged against the interest of the man. I can't point out even in a single way that marriage is of exclusive benefit to a man..

From courtship up till marriage, it looks like an arrangement wherein a man is hunted, killed and brought to the nest to be devoured by the huntres. Nest slavery!!

Why do you think that women go into marriages not just willingly but eagerly?

Who wouldn't be happy on the day on which her hunting is declared over and her kill is paraded before the public?

Why would happiness not be found in the heart of the slave mistress who has secured herself a slave that'd toil for a lifetime and drop the fruits at her feets

Men think!!! Ohh men, think!

I'm beginning to think that Nairaland forum has been criminally hijacked by forces loyal to the APC and their drug kingpin. Nothing spoil still!!

When people come here and spew hateful things against Peter Obi, Obidients and the Igbo people, I marvel at the foolishness that attends these comments..

Nigeria's is a tragedy large enough to go round but even at the heights of the problems that torment all and sundry, Igbos have time and again proven their resilience and the drive to fare better than other tribes in every index of social life..

You are probably typing from one slum in Lagos or any other place and waiting for night to come so you can do your open defecation with reckless abandon.. Afo*ja.

We are all this together. Don't cry when the result comes

Just go on YouTube and search William lin or neal wu , you will get what I'm talking about... Don't waste yaaa mathematics talent. Trust me if you're Good at that stuff, your life don better. Oyinbo people go dey rush you like sey tomorrow no dey.
That's not a good career advice for anyone.

One of the biggest problems we are currently facing in today's world is the elevation of a particular career line or profession over others.. The result then becomes evident in the recognition and rewards that come with the much more favorite professions. Consequently, they are crowded and a deficit is created in the less favourite but equally indispensable ones..

Be very good at whatever you do!!

keep striving to improve in your chosen profession and be very passionate about it!!
I bet you'll have the world to conquer.

Programming is never a profession on its own. Don't be fooled by the noise around it..
It's just an attempt at developing a way to feed commands to a machine in a way that makes everyday tasks easier and faster to carry out.

Anyone can be a programmer. The important thing is to understand what you are programming and how the knowledge of programming would be of advantage to your profession...

The point is to have a background profession that you understand thoroughly and that you feel programming is going to help advance.

The beauty of programming is that it finds application in everything. Just everything!!

It can only take a professional mechanic to understand the issues with certain auto-electronic components and then set out to solve them using a knowledge of programming.. Someone who lacks an in depth understanding of cars would never be able to achieve that, regardless of the mastery he has gained in any machine language..

Likewise a medical doctor who has years of clinical experience behind him is in a better position to develop and deploy a software that'd be relevant in a clinical setting. You can't beat him there, however hard you try..

Even a farmer who understands agro input- output dynamics stands a better chance at putting up a tech based solution to many issues of agricultural importance..

The instances are inexhaustible but I hope you are seeing the connections..

It's just unfortunate that narrow economic perspectives largely play a role in our career decisions while we disregard passion and calling..

Shalom!!!!!

NFF can't afford grade A coaches, comot your mind from there
NFF can afford even the football equivalence of Putin and Biden. It's just that hiring them won't bring any result so long as the NFF keeps interfering in technical decisions and team selection.

That aside, no grade A coach would want to live and work in this hole of a country. They can only accept an offer if the contract terms permit them to live in their country of choice and only visit Nigeria for trainings or home games.

Along the road that leads to my site, there are at least two empty filling stations

Now, I have a buddy that served as a contractor in the oil and gas sector for some years.

Also, I have a property genius who specializes in looking only for high end properties like factories, filling stations for rent or lease

Ofcourse if the resources are available, a te.cam be built and such a project executed. No need to even touch physical cash. Facilitator holds the cash but only pushes cash into execution
Business is usually very easy on paper but an entirely different story in practice.
Have you tried to find out why those petrol stations went under, and their owners had to put them up for outright sale or lease?

Are you of a special breed to think that you are insulated from the same things that made them go under?

It's not to say you are destined to confront the same issues that the previous owners had to deal with. Your case could turn out to be completely different especially if their reasons for closing up weren't specific to the trade..

You are much safer in business if you can first pick out all the 'why and how it can fail' before looking at all the 'why it can fly'..

My 2cents!! Shalom
