My backyard is becoming very busy oh... added another set of birds to my backyard, quite a number this time -170 birds Broilers - Obasanjo male line - 50, sayed-50 Unknown hatchery - 50+10 extra(from a friend who is an experienced breeder in Ibadan) Turkeys - 10(local and foreign) I got them this morning, gave them double shot of glucose. I'm starting them with breedwell feed.they say one can brood for 9+10 days with it...wait and see. This is 3rd batch in my backyard...pls wish me luck

@dchinky I'm taking the analysis as housing is already on ground and your location.so many things is involved here...it's the feed formulation cost that I will not agree with. You are reducing cost though, but quality feed is not that cheap quote author=dchinky post=58689846]Good day salami, really amazed at the fact that you stated that one can start a broiler farm with 49k ?.please am not trying to run u down but please don't misinform people. For a start in the brooding room,is it only stove and charcoal that one needs?what about the nylon that are needed to retain heat and also shield the birds from adverse weather? So housing is easy like that?I didn't see your estimates for woods (different types ), nails and zinc? Viz a Viz their current prices in the market.Tasho please go and make your own findings else u will regret it. I just set up a Poultry farm housing 600 layers and 150 broilers so I know that u can't start with that amount[/quote] |
Changed my mind about the wood shavings, won't want them eating it... I also heard that breedwell feed is great for birds, so I bought 2bags of breedwell super starter feed for them, heard they help in brooding them for btw 9-10 days, fingers crossed though... Wish me well. Lol |
Yhemit:Noted thxalot. |
Smartslim17:It's vice versa...separating them in 2wks |
