Hello gurus in the house,
Want to apply for 2 years visa after my first 6 mo expired.
Pls can I reduce my budget for the 2 years visa application?

giselle237:
Even all my visa applications same. Very funny monthly expenses is what I have always put down. They work with what you give them. Just tie all the loose ends with ur account statement, no lump-sum, no small salary, no funny opening balance that can’t be accounted for, not too many dependents, good account balance and so on and so forth.

Morning my people, many thanks once again for your support and help during my 6mo visa application.
@Justwise...you are the hero.
I am now in the process of renewal...
my questions...
1. Can I apply for 2yrs visa or 6mo again?
2. Am i still using the same docs for renewal; if yes what docs do I need to add
3. Filled 8 days stay in the former but eventually spent 14 days in UK...Pls how do I explain this?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 1:53pm On Feb 19, 2019
You are really good to go with a budget of 350k.
If your accommodation is certain, then feeding should be...do like 220k for flight.

Plan a short stay of 7 days with the balance.
As a tourist/visitor, keep in mind intra city transportation, sight seeing and miscellaneous

Success2011:
220k is your net monthly salary, while 50k is your monthly living expenses.

N220,000 - 50,000 = N170,000.
170k is your disposable income when you minus monthly living expenses. If you follow this thread keenly, you'll see that spending more than twice your disposable income for a short trip is highly discouraged.

Twice your monthly disposable income is 170k x 2 equals 340k.
Since you have someone to accommodate you, easy. Get cheap flights like 200k, you still have 140k to play around with.

The bottom line is work with N340K. Plan very well, you surely can draw a good budget with 340k.

How far with your application?

I would suggest you to go and check your mail...seems they now send refusal notice by mail.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 8:48pm On Feb 14, 2019
Good ...you have enough time to plan then

ThowLou:
I have investments maturing in June, July & August. The plan is to apply for my Visa in July.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 4:06pm On Feb 12, 2019
Only you and you can honestly explain your financial circumstance.
Also make sure back your explanation with documents.
Your investments will mature in July....when do you intend to apply for the visa?

ThowLou:
Good afternoon everyone,

Thanks for all the information shared here so far. I have a question on the application especially the part that has to do with funds in account. I usually don’t like to keep money in my account as I believe it does nothing for me. I however run a joint mutual fund account with my best friend, a dollar investment account a little above $1k and also have a little above 2m in one of the agro-funding platforms which I will have access to in June/August (investment plus interest will be paid by then). The cooperative I do with my colleagues is equivalent to my monthly salary but passive income is what I live on for now and won’t have access to cooperative funds until July. I intend to apply for the visa in July/August. I know I need to build funds but money must be made too. How do I explain the reason for the low balance till the windfall I will have by July/August in my account.
Please advise. Thank you.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 11:00am On Feb 12, 2019
Its an added service which you have to select on TLS website after paying your visa fees.

It gives you an opportunity of walking in for your biometrics anytime...but not after your scheduled appointment date.

asake85:
Hello

Please how does the walk-in appointment work?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 4:30pm On Feb 04, 2019
You can pay at the submission center.
Make sure u get there early...at least 30mins before your appointment time

AmbivertMe:
Please i need answer asap!
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 1:39pm On Feb 04, 2019
Just an open suggestions. ..

1.The Eco wants to see that u are financially capable and not travelling with an 'expected' paid trip cash won.

2.U should have submitted a simple and straight docs to show your financial status and ties

3.Don't make the same mistake of the previous application...no cash lodgements. Try and maintain a reasonable 6mo salary account

4.Yesss

5.You will need to also show the link between the 2 accounts(your biz and salary)

6.Okay. ..but do a low budget for the trip which must not be more than you and your spouse's 2months income

7.Mention this in your next application and also explain in a cover letter

8. Good...but PLS make sure you satisfy the reasons for previous refusal.

Wish you the best.

Good morning gurus in the house. URGENT PLS, DONT PASS ME BY

Please I need corrections and suggestion on my application.
I I submitted an application Sept 2018 with my spouse, saying I won all expenses paid trip in my company at the 2017 end of the year party and it's worth 5m, and company will deposit the money 2 weeks to d trip.

Land documents
Sponsors 6month statement with 123m
My 6month salary acct statement (gtb)
DH 6month salary acct (earns 250k)
6 month payslip for DH and I
Both id cards
Personal company regs document and statement (Diamond) as at then I was using my personal acct for d business
Police certs
Marriage cert
Please see attached refusal letter.
My questions are:
1.What av I done wrong in the previous application?
2. Point 2 raised isn't clear enough, it's seems there's some thing I should av done I didn't do.
3. Planning to resubmit d application, what has changed is that d company deposited 2m into My acct last week to ease processing, and balance will be paid wen we have d visa.
4. Did I submit too many irrelevant supporting docs?
5. Should I include my business acct (zenith of abt 2m balance) of which my employer is the major client with fluent transactions.
6. We plan to stay in a hotel but we'll be visiting my sister in law and family. We stated that in the last visit too.
7. Meanwhile, hubby has been rejected twice b4 this 1. Saying they're not satisfied the funds avail in d acct are available for the trip.
8. We plan to submit this February as we are looking at travelling for Easter.

Beware of all these immigration lawyers...With NL you will get it right at no cost. Trust me

petetherock:
wow thank you so much, i got in touch with an immigration lawyer and he made me realize that am not off the hook, and wants to make a request to the home office regarding reports on the issue, In fact am no longer interested, because i understand that all of this might result in waste of time and money until the period of timing is over, Thanks a lot and please if you can kindly relay this case to anyone who can give somewhat a varying opinion over this issue, maybe i might stand a chance with my wife's TIER 2 Application as a dependent Kindly Oblige me. Am really grateful for your thoughts is quite expository, God bless you.

Bros this your spending on feeding is just out of place and cannot fly for a visa application.

Pls tell us the hotel or restaurant you eat...and is it African dishes or continental?
Thinking the restaurant/meals are meant for celebs.

ab4m:
From experience, it's depends on when you are traveling and the type of accommodation you need including shopping.

Am in London for 4 days December/January
Ethiopia airways return ticket #308,000
Accommodation £50/day on average
Feeding £100/day average
Transport £250 Buy oyster bus card for cheaper transport, taxi suck. Though depends on your route.

Advise: Book for flight ahead like 3 weeks, you can even get cheaper flights on British airways. Looking for hostel or Airbnb for accommodating if you are on low budget. Shopping depends on your pocket size.

Safe trip.

quote author=OgeChukwuO post=74469227]My POE at Heathrow was very exhaustive and drilling but thanks to this blog I was very ready.
My first mistake was saying I was staying 2 weeks in my landing card but yet booked hotel for 7days as that was my initial plan. He was looking for a loophole and wen he saw one. He held to it. At one point asked for medical insurance.

These guys are strict and will also want to provoke you. And will ask you same questions repeatedly. Even at one time told me he was sending us back to Nigeria.

I told him I will seek legal redress cos I didn’t breach any rules. He took us to the open place and then after 5 minutes came and let us go.

But in all. We had fun and are heading back to Nigeria(home) today .

Thank you to justwise, ogehumphries and all.[/quote]

....@success 2011 You need to show the ECO how prudent you are in your spendings and also convince him you need the vacation.
This might guide you....flight £500, hostel + b/fast £140 , feeding £80, Intra city (bus pass) £30, Tourism(ticket/gate pass to tourist centers) £50, 3 day London big Bus £45, Misc/shopping £100. Total Budget - £945 this like 437k and not up to your 2 mo salary.

Happy new year!

Long post but might help somebody. ..

This is to appreciate everyone on this thread for your support and contributions towards my UK application process.
...6 mo tourist visa granted.First time.

@ekpotek-been a while on the thread.
@Justwise and other gurus here...u guys are super heroes.

Submitted on 12th Dec
Passport ready for collection 31st Dec
10 Working days

I basically joined this thread when i was about starting the process
I learnt a lot from this thread about how to keep your application simple, straight and honest. Also learnt about people's experiences.
This thread also made me believe i can DIY the whole process...which i did

With info gathered from NL, I refused to pay any agent but I eventually paid for it...I mistakenly chose premium lounge(42k) for submission which was not necessary for Abuja and my travel date . No regret for this though.

Got lots of wrong info from guys at metro plaza but with NL's guide I didn't go by their info.

So many mistakes but the ECO overlooked may be because of my documents(73 sheets) and honesty.

I'm ready to share my experience here with anybody that needs it. I also learnt a lot from people's granted and refused visa experiences posted here.

Application brief

Budget 500k
Salary 350K
Hostel booking
Salary account statement balance 2m
Cover letter to explain transactions in account especially other deposits apart from employer, previous Uk(over 10 years)and US visa refusals.
Letter from employer
Marriage cert with family pics, birth certs, Passport and visa pages.
Copies of my previous pp pages with travel histories.
Owned property papers......

I read from this thread that you are being watched and studied at the submission center...If this was true then I didn't desrve the visa.
Being premium lounge service which i couldn't cancel...I decided to enjoy my money by taking 2 cups of richly mixed chocolate drink and lots of snacks.
Was even chatting with staffs and other people around that i wish I could cancel the service.
Was struggling with my docs at the office and missed my turn twice as i had to rush outside to pick a doc in the car.I even signed some docs at the office.

All glory be to God...and all thanks to NL'S gurus.
God bless.
