PoliticsRe: Boko-Haram Wiped Out My Family - Widow by tayoccu(m): 12:05am On Oct 30, 2012
playah P: Wehre do you stay?
Where are all your family members?
Do you stay with them?
How long have you stayed there?
What is ur source of income over there?
Do you have anyother source of income?.... Relocating isn't as easy as you think...

This is a man that has stayed in bauchi for donkey years, his wife and kids stay in bauchi.... I assume he doesn't have anyother means of sustaining his large family.... Lemme ask you a question, if they had come back to anambara state will you feed themhuh
I dislike insensitive talks like this cos the way you talk, I'm sure you still get allowee from your parents so you don't know how difficult it is relocating from a place where you had a life to a place where you will end up eating from hand to mouth!!... It does not end there..... What about friends and associates??
What about house?? Will you sleep on the streets?
Will you pack your large family to a friend's house and discomfort your friendhuh

Do you feel silly now??.. You owe the man and his family an apology!!

That's why its good to save for the rainy days!!
Please which is more precious to you, your wealth/ assets or your life?
Are you telling me if you're in an hostile environment, and enviroment that has hurt you before, you will place acquired wealth before personal safety?

tunnytox: But some ibos will say Yoruba don't like them huh I don't know of any record of ibos being targeted in the SW, perharps if some of you guys get your wish you may start to appreciate our hospitality undecided
And for people saying he should have left, talk is cheap! Do you think it is easy to quickly dispose off your assets to relocate to the East? are there still no ibos in the north doing well? What will he be doing in his village and how will he feed his family? just pray that you don't find yourself in that situation, next time just think very well before running your mouth.
And what is he doing where he is now?
How is he feeding his family from the grave?
When there is life, there is hope, if he'd fled, there's a high rate probability that he'd still be alive, taking care of his family.

His stay has cost him his life, his daughters life and his son.. Weigh the loss and compare it to the excuse of waiting to build a house in the village.. She's his Family have returned even without the house eventually..

why are we nigerians so desensitized angry
The subject of the thread does make the story look worse than it really is, its almost like our reporters derive joy in exerggerating bad news.

What ever wealth that is/was lost as a result of running for dear life can be regained, but life can not be regained once lost.
It hurts me that hard working nigerians have been murdered, but truth be told okija_juju is right.

Be graceful, don't whine like a sour looser, go back to the drawing board, re-strategize, be a blessing to the state, and maybe, maybe if you touch the hearts of Ondo state people, you will be lucky next time.
Christianity EtcRe: I Dont Love Him. But He Said He Heard From God by tayoccu(m): 9:30pm On Oct 22, 2012
breathing: I don't know if you are a born again Christian. But every born again christian would find out sooner or later that there are two ways of handling every issue. The 'common sense' way and the 'God' way.

God never asked us in thr bible, to marry the person we love, rather he asked us to love the person we marry.

God has also given us the ability to love everyone, though we often insist to ourselves that there are people we just cannot love, yet God wants us to love every one, and mature Christians have been able to manage loving everyone.

So what's my point, for born again christians, marriage is all about having a partner who shares your faith and helps you fulfil the will of God on earth.

I know people have abused the 'God said I would marry you' line, but that doesn't change the fact that sometimes God actually reveals to some men the woman he thinks would best assist them in fulfilling their mission on earth (and vice versa).

So I think it depends on you to first:

1. Find out the kind of christian the man is. Is he a serious minded/ dedicated christian who can actually hear God speak. By their fruits you shall know them, I believe you should be able to know when you are being scammed.

2. Tell him to give you time to pray about it. Take a week to pray, tell God you are taking a week to hear him confirm that the man in question is your husband, try to forget about the fact that you don't love the man (Love has a much deeper meaning than what the world thinks it is, and you might also learn that while studying), have an open mind about it, fast, study your bible, sometimes you expect to hear God in your dream or in a voice but he also speaks to you through bible verses you come across while studying the bible. Once again, keep an open mind.

If after praying about it, you still feel doubts about this man, then please go back to him and tell him that God did not tell you to marry him. God is not an author of confusion, and if he indeed wants you to marry the man, he'd tell you.

I know there are a lot of common sense replies to this kind of post, but you asked for a christian view, so there it is. We are talking about the same God who asked Joseph to remain married to a woman who got pregnant mysteriously, think of what the NL replies would be if Joseph had opened a thread on NL before accepting to stick with Mary. Or same God who asked Hosea to go marry a prostitute. Ewwwwwww. It aint always easy obeying God, but you either want to obey God, or you don't. Either way, you first of all have to find out if it's really God speaking, and that's not such a difficult thing to do, more especially if you are someone led by the spirit of God.
God Bless you!
This is the best advice I've seen anyone give on NL.

ace1: Its funny how we feel so comfortable lying to ourselves. Most people here saying the whole of Aluu community is evil and should be wiped out will not waste time 2 call me a religious or tribal bigot if I say they're ritualist cos their name's chukwuemeka or boko haram cos their name's Abdulahi.

We as Nigerians wanna hear d truth only if we're are comfortable with it.

Sometime in 2010, an innocent student was beaten to death by Man o'war boys inside boys hostel. D school athourities came out 2 say dat the Man O'war boys weren't students. D only thing dat was done was Man O'war was stopped in uniport. D killers where not found and d case died a natural death. Guess dat makes every lecturer, and everybody who graduated 4rm uniport a killer?

And to add, I'm not in support of the killing of dose boys and I also do not support people cursing the people of Aluu. B4 u start insinuating, I'm not from Aluu. I just decided not 2 allow sentiments cloud my reasoning.
Stop yapping like a re.tard, did the man o war creeps take the student to the vc before killing him? The mob took their victims to the traditional ruler to get his blessings.
That makes the whole town guilty.

omaboy: I support in totality the views of this litraray Icon. Any individual or group that participated in this dastartly act will never go unpunish even to the fouth generation. They might escape from the eyes of the law but the justice from God will surely visit them. This is an individual sin that can not be ascribe to the Aluu community.
Did you watch the videos?
If you did you won't spew this rubbish you're spewing.
In one of the videos, the traditional ruler of Aluu was seen endorsing the mob action, and not one indigine voiced his objection (based on video evidence), so its as good as the entire community is responsible for the action.

I doubt, all his sins will be forgiven if he helps take marada out.

I simply do not agree.
TV/MoviesRe: Naruto Information by tayoccu(m): 6:51pm On Oct 18, 2012
Ihedinobi: Shades of grey, hmmm. Honestly, what I get is that the real delineation is not so easy to get at, but it's definite. For instance, is Madara evil for wanting a peaceful, happy world where everything is perfect? Who would non-hypocritically say yes to that? Obviously, there's no evil in his desire. But does that make Madara good? I say no. It only shows that he has good intentions.

To judge Madara (and, in truth, everybody) correctly, we must take account of the whole story: the what's, the who's, the how's, the why's, and even the wheres. A true judge is one who knows the full story and totally, completely understands it. He must also be completely sympathetic to the interests of those he judges, he must necessarily be one in experience with them. Or else his judgment will necessarily be unfair.

I think that that is a major theme of Kishi's work: everybody has their own story. Tobi was so completely evil that we could hardly excuse him. Upon first confirmation that it was Rin's misfortune that provoked his malevolence, we were like, "wth, just Rin? What the deuce could of happened to Rin to warrant all that?" But I, for one, appreciate the anguish that he must have felt seeing what he saw.

I'll even go so far as to say that the main character Naruto embodies the theme. That's why he has such an open heart, wanting to know everybody's story and understand them. For him, even fighting them is so that he can save them. Meh, can't tell you how much I love the story. It's actually why I'm a little reluctant in venturing theories. I tend to feel that the best anyone can do is speculate, and baselessly too with obscure parts of the story. So predictions are about as wrong as they can be right.

I don't even know if there'll be a sage of the six paths at the end. But I'm betting there will be and that his name will be Naruto, but honestly I can't see him living beyond Sasuke's death if that ever happens and I cannot comprehend a Sasuke who is second to a Rikudou Sennin Naruto. I also can't understand a two-Rikudou Sennin end. Damn, it just feels so freaking open-ended.
Naruto will most likely become a reincarnation of the sage of 6 paths, but I doubt he will be kage, he will have bigger fish to fry (Since he will be the "avatar" of narutoverse),
I see Sasuke becoming Kage (if he survives the war)

Dats what is rampant in our society when they can't b discipline, this happened to me, a relative of mine called me when I didn't even see her in a dark place she was talking to guy a girl of 14 year barely . Honestly I felt embarrassed that she even av the guts to call if all this is been curb no girl we pregnant untimely.
There's a fundermental human right called the freedom of association, the poor girl had the right to talk to anybody she wants to, its not like she was caught snogging or straphing. I won't be surprised if it is revealed that one of the barbarians that flogged her is interested in installing her as his 4th wife.

By the way is the poor girl even a muslim?
This is the arrogance i am talking about. The question is : what is BRT? And what is the spirit behind the BRT? You should put the principle of equality before the law in proper perspective. Does this not also imply that if you employ somebody to serve you, that you should equip him/her adequately for this assignment? You want the CJN in a traffic jam while on official assignment, you should also request for equivalent number of SSS operatives that she has, after all 'we are all equal before the law'. And while at it, request also for official car and make sure that if you are present in her court, sit down while she enters and when you want to talk to her, address her as 'young lady', after all you are equal with her before the law.
Uncle quit making a fool of yourself.
Other important questions are:
1. Does Gov Fashola use the best effort lane like the rest of us?
2. Does Tinubu use this lane? What of Bisi Akande? The president and National Assembly leadersip?
In my opinion, to expect the CJN, IGP, Senate Leadership, HoR Leadership, key military officers and other key government functionaries to use the best effort lane is just funny. Even in Heaven, according to The Holy Book, there is hierarchy. No matter how holy you are, if you are not one of the 24 elders, then you are not.
All these arrogance is unnecessary, driving aginst traffic would have been morally wrong, but WTH is BRT? Rapid transit lane!!! If key government functionaries cannot use rapid transit lane while on official assignment, then what qualifies BRT passengers to use the lane. People can just be funny!!!
Yes he does, in fact he was stuck in traffic the day he caught the colonel.
If the chief executive of lagos state can obey the laws of the state, I believe every other person should.

Why did kakashi killed Rin?
Why did obito not confront him then?
Where was Kakashi when obito was fighting those shinobis?
Why did kakashi leave her body behind if he was trying to protect their secret/intel?

Where did kakashi go after then?
Kakashi passed out after his mangekyou activated (the activation probably zapped his already depleted chakra)
