Well, someone in my office just won a Nokia E63. Perhaps their promo is real. someone ealier in the thread said N150m is small money in the telecomms industry. If that is so, then they can give out $1m. As far as am concerned they should come up with a marketing strategy that evens out benefits to customers, rather than favor some, disfavor others. For example free calls during offpeak periods within the network and ridiculously low rates for outside of the network. Nothing beats a strategy as this in the telecoms industry |

Why not do a research to uncover those silent but money-spinning businesses. Could take someone who is versatile and dog-nosed to help you discover your dream business. Go, look for that friend. |
@vindoheney Subomi might be referring to some obvious pride in you esp displayed here in public. Well pride is good to some extent but it has limits. However I like your determination for consulting, just keep the fire burning. Will definitely succeed. @Subomi I would suggest that Alder, as an ideas company, begin to practise crowdsourcing for ideas on a freelance basis. Its working for leading firms in the world. |

Nice one Subomi! Good to give many talented Nigerians a chance. |
Consulting interviews have not changed. There is a personality part and a business scenario section. Its all about who you are! The best |
That's good relentless. Was interesting when I also got their call. Should be attending tomorrow. Iv been in consulting for 2yrs but Alder has been my dream. I hope for my dream to be actualised. |
Consulting is very interesting if you've tasted it, you'd never want to go into something else especially at this youthful level. Alder consulting is a disciplined firm and i know them for trying to make their vision (thought leadership) possible. In there they are encouraged to think on every situation, including that lady at the front desk. I was wowed by my first experience at their office almost 2yrs ago. The lady told me "say why you are here in a sentence", that shocked me terribly. I actually received it with mix feelings. First i felt that was rude, you should have heard me out first! Second, i thought to myself - Simplicity taught. In consulting there is one thing i'v always learnt, make things simple for your client after all thats why you're there. Simple solutions applied in innovative ways. I decided to look at her gesture and response in that light and did not dwell much about the other funny part. Am not in anyways taking sides, but am saying that the kind of training she received may have had her responding in certain ways strange to us. Besides, think of the stress of answering too many people almost at the same time. Whatever, if you know about consulting and so passionate with it (problem solving for businesses) try other firms or keep trying Alder who knows they might just call you up someday. But i'll never hide the truth, they are good!!! I'v tried working there before, didnt work, but who knows. Am not about the money am about joining the winning team, learn a bit of tricks and win more. Sorry all you pained at heart. |

to introduce myself; i am a business mgt consultant, young and dynamic. First of all before serious selling can occour let me recommend that you distinct your self by finding your own market, this product is becoming too common and competitive. to do that you will need an innovative marketing plan. that can do a lot of good than "on-the-spot-selling". need to make one? please contact me for help - tayo.gbenro@gmail.com or 08032085794 |

As I was surfing through the internet this Sunday afternoon after NLC`s strike action I stumbled across a splendid summary of why you need to become a good project manager and why u're are very very much needed and I thought I’ll be nice if share it with my community of friends. Please do enjoy it and meditate thoroughly on what each might mean for you. 1. If you're not getting better, you're getting worse as you get older. 2. As Project leaders learn more, they get better faster. 3. The best way to promote effective project leadership is to set examples that are so powerful and positive that others wouldn't dare do less. 4. Leading successful projects is the best way to prove your promotability to the people who make those decisions. 5. The abilities that are required to organize and carry out successful projects will enhance other aspects of your job. 6. Project work is often disguised by the use of the word Team; if you find yourself on or leading teams, you're probably working together to complete a project. 7. More than one lumpy project leadership performance can give you a reputation that will repel future project participants. 8. With rare exceptions, project prime movers believe that project meltdowns are the result of weak project leadership. 9. Organizations that are flattening (re-engineering, downsizing, rightsizing, etc) will depend on projects and project leaders to get work done that was once handled by departments. 10. Organizations that are willing to allow hastily planned, poorly lead projects eventually weaken themselves and endanger employees by wasting precious resources. Yeah am sure you've stopped wasting your time thinking that project management is only for structural engineers etc as the rest of the people do. Yesterday I saw a movie titled V for Vendetta, did you see the great project management skill in that guy (carried out a project of revolution in England which he executed in one day however he carried out the prior phases of initiation, planning for about 20 years)? Wow! What a movie, I strongly recommend this movie for you a prospective superordinaire project manager check this tool for project management out - http://www.commercial-solutions.com/pages/pmskillsharpenerframeset.html |
