[quote author=triplechoice post=135196509]But you were the one who applied the physical, "reproduction", to the spiritual without knowing how God had his sons

So who's the fool?

What are you taking about? I clearly told you that they are not the same thing.
I quoted the Bible verse to remind you that wisdom is also needed to know truth. Solomon relied on wisdom to know amongst the two fighting women who owned the child . He didn't ask and wait for revelation from God to know the truth. He applied wisdom.
A wise man would seek knowledge and would not pronounce his opinions as facts when he has very limited knowledge.

1. If you knew very much and had asked yourself those questions above, you wouldn't not have committed the blunder of using the word, "reproduction" which suggested spirits giving birth like humans. If you didn't mean that, then why did your mind went to wife after saying so?

See how you want to lie to defend your falsehood.

Again you are wrong. The word reproduce is very appropriate.
Let me ask you, how do bacteria reproduce? Now these are also physical organisms yet they don't reproduce like humans. So if I use the word reproduce for spirits for lack of a better word, it is super appreciate. It's not like you know anything about spiritual reproduction. So why exactly are you challenging me?
The bible teaches you that Jesus Christ is the begotten son of God. The word Begotten means
bring (a child) into existence by the process of reproduction.
I am not the one that made the pronouncement.
The bible also teaches in Zechariah 12 that God
formeth the spirit of man within him.
You have a problem with the word reproduce because you don't understand it.
Another bible verse
Hebrews 12:9
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Here we learn that spirits are his children. He formed them, he fathered them.

I didn't claim I'm wise or wiser than you. I quoted that verse to remind you that wisdom which your religious text says comes from God is also used in knowing truth.
You also forget that human wisdom have led to so many falsehoods. You don't learn eternal truths using human wisdom. It just doesn't work that way.

You're the one spreading falsehood , or not making any sense by claiming that your God engaged in reproduction just like humans to produce sons, yet you're don't know if he has a wife or sex partner a partner until it's revealed to you.

If he engages in reproduction to produce sons according to you ,then, he has someone he's doing the do with. It's as simple as that

What you're arguing is like saying that you don't know if your parents has ever had sex either for pleasure or procreation since it's not been revealed to you by them or you haven't seen them doing it at anytime .

One doesn't need revelation all the time to discern certain things. What is needed is wisdom which doesn't make you proud but wise.

" Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding"
Proverbs 3. 13
The answer I provided to your first post still stands for this your much longer write up.

Now let's do some science here. .
We know that there are organisms that reproduce with out a mate. And this is physical reproduction.
Now you are claiming to know how spirits reproduce. Don't you see that you have a problem?
We learn things of the physical through science. But when you apply that to the spiritual, it only makes you a fool.
I hope you understand now.
Last thing, if you applied the verse you quoted
Proverbs 3. 13, you wouldn't have made this post.
If you are as wise as you say, you should ask yourself questions like, What if the physical is completely different from the spiritual? What if both don't abide by the same laws?
How are spirits born? Does spiritual birth follow the pattern of physical birth?
My guy you know very little.
Christianity Etc › Re: Religious Leaders Who Have Claimed To Be God by tctrills: 1:15am On May 01, 2025

If God engages in reproduction to produce sons, then, the logical conclusion is that he has a wife.

But you're suggesting he has none ,or you don't want to accept he has one until it's reveal to you.

How does that make any sense?
You mean waiting for God's revelation doesn't make sense to you? You will rather draw up your own conclusion based on your very little knowledge.
To me, this is foolish pride. The things we do not know are far greater than the things we know so rather than going about and spreading falsehood, I choose to wait and learn.

You are bringing a letter from Paul to some people in Corinth to compare with where God himself said there is no one beside him!

If i say there is no one beside me what does that mean?

Do it mean there is a wife, sons, daughters, etc beside me?

I don't know how you dey digest verses o!

If God were to have a family then they too would be Gods beside him!
You clearly don't understand the word of God.
Now let me explain how the word of God works.
2 Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The writings of Paul are inspired by the Holy Ghost hence they are just as important as the one you quoted from Isaiah.
Now let's again look at some other verses from the bible to see if God has a family.

Genesis 6:2
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Here we see that God clearly has Sons. Are they also Gods?

Job 1:6 (KJV)
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
Again we see that God has a family. His son's are definitely his Family.

Psalm 2:7
"I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
I am sure you know the meaning of begotten but if you don't, here is a simple definition.
(especially of a man) bring (a child) into existence by the process of reproduction.

Let's look at another verse in the old testament.
Psalm 82:6
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Here we learn that the Sons of God are also Gods.
Are these not enough to teach you that not only does God have a family, his children are also Gods.
Now we know nothing about him having brothers, sisters, wife, mother, or father so we don't assume either way. We only learn from what has been revealed.

Let's assume that you don't take the inspired words of Paul to be serious, I have presented you with other writings and witnesses. Now, you can no longer doubt.

If God says he's one then he has no family as he clearly says there's no one besides him.

I don't know how you interpret am o!
Again you are wrong and that was why I presented you with another passage of scripture to help your interpretation. Could you bring the two passages together and see how it guides your interpretation.
Also, you really make a very long leap. To come to the conclusion that God has no Family just because he says besides me there is no god.
Let's not make conclusions that are not intended in the verse.
The second passage I gave you should make it crystal clear to you.
1 Corinthians 8:5-6
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
So clearly there are many Gods but the King of Israel wanted his people to accept, worship and relate to only him as their God. He doesn't want them to relate with any other God.
Christianity Etc › Re: Religious Leaders Who Have Claimed To Be God by tctrills:
Antichristian2:
It was revealed that my own God has no family! He created everything! And everything worship Him as Lord!

Isaiah 44:6:
“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.’”
This verse clearly states that there is no other god besides the Lord.

Isaiah 45:5:
“I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me.”
Here, God reaffirms His uniqueness and singularity.

Deuteronomy 6:4:
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

Of course spirits get married and give birth just as we do! Angels do not reproduce nor are they differntiated into sexes! My own believe is that God created spirits and He is undefined i.e. not a spirit!

Anyways, it is revealed that my own God is not begotten nor does He begets!

If it is not revealed i won't say it.
You quoted verses where God said without him, there is no God, but that was not the argument. You claimed he has no family can you please quote the verses where that was mentioned?
When you qoute scripture let it apply to the discussion.
To give you more understanding to the verse you quoted
1 Corinthians 8:5-6
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

These two passages make it crystal clear that even though there are many Gods, to us, there is but one God.

That's exactly the point. I have been saying that neither you nor I can tell if God has a family so we are just being foolish arguing when we have no facts to show. Do you get it now)

God gave birth! How? God didn't reveal how he gave birth! Does God have penis like us? He didn't reveal it!
First from biology, you know that there are more ways than one to reproduce. You and I do not have any idea on how spirits are born so as you concluded, he did not reveal it.

If God gives birth then God was given birth to too!

Our own God does not beget not is He begotten!

You make a very brilliant point here but again, what do you know. Let's wait until it is revealed by God himself. Or do you have any prove to your point?

Only humans, Jon's and animals have these features!

This again is your option and not God's revealed truth. While we respect your opinion, we can't take it as fact. Do you get it now?

Does he have wives? Is it sexual or assexual?

Check your so-called revelation please!
Again, you are saying things you do not know. DNA is physical not spiritual. The bible says he is the Father if our spirits. I am not sure spirits are made up of Deoxyribonucleic acid.
Now to your other questions.
How did he birth the children? Not yet revealed
Does he have wives? Is it sexual or assexual?
Not yet revealed.

Christianity Etc › Jesus Christ; Lord Of The Sabbath. Was The Old Testament About Jesus Christ? by tctrills(op): 10:12am On Apr 28, 2025
Let's begin with the question, who gave Moses the 10 commandments? The simple answer is God but let's dig deeper.
Exodus 20:10-11 Part of the Ten Commandments:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work... For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Here we are told clearly that the 7th day belongs to the Lord thy God. The Lord God owns the sabbath, it is his day.
In the Old Testament, God clearly says the Sabbath belongs to Him — “the sabbath of the Lord thy God.”
It emphasizes that the Sabbath was created by God during creation (Genesis 2:2-3) and set apart as holy.

In the New Testament, Jesus identifies Himself as "Lord of the Sabbath"
(Matthew 12:cool,
"For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
showing that He is the same divine authority — He is God.
He was the same who gave Moses the 10 commandments. The same God who told Moses that the 7th day belongs to him.
Both the Old Testament and New Testament testify of one person, Jesus Christ.
Talking about the Old Testament, he said,
John 5:39
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Honestly I don't read your mind. Now you are talking about the creator, to every religion, there is a different creator. It doesn't make the followers lunatics. Again, just because you and I don't agree on who the creator is doesn't mean I should call you a lunatic.

Why have you deliberately ignored the words "except speaking in a pantheistic sense" and "exclusively" which I used in defining what I meant?

If this is the way you intend to play dumb and deliberately be disingenuous today, please just go away from this thread. I am not interested in debating anyone who sets out intentionally to lie or be fraudulent.

Oga if you are uncomfortable with people giving different opinions on your thread it's ok, I wouldn't respond to you. I will only respond to others. Hope that makes you happy. Have fun.

Another lie. The bible never uses big "G" to refer to other gods.
The bible was written in Greek and Hebrew. Both languages did not have small g. So yes, the bible used big G up till the English bible came along.
The prophets and writers of the bible never differentiated their Gods with big or small alphabets. Have a blessed day.

I think you are right and every man must choose his own God. In the Igbo culture, each man had his own Chi. His personal God. So I have no problem with anyone claiming to be God or any worshiping another as God.

Secondly, yes, it is absurd for anyone to claim to be God so long as he or she is not speaking in a pantheistic sense.

Surat al-Kahf is the 18th surah of the Qur'an with 110 ayat. It is a Meccan sura

This Surah has Four stories in it,having some morals, lets see them and understand what they are saying to us:

1) The People Of The Cave
Its the story of young men who lived in a disbelieving town, so they decided to migrate for the sake of Allah and run away. -Allah rewards them with mercy in the cave and protection from the sun - They woke up and found the entire village believers.
MORAL:TRIAL OF FAITH.

2) The Owner Of Two Gardens
A story of a man whom Allah blessed with two beautiful gardens, but the man forgot to thank the One who blessed him with everything and he even dared to doubt Allah regarding the afterlife. So His garden was destroyed - He regretted ,but was too late and his regret did not benefit him .
MORAL:TRIAL OF WEALTH

3) Musa(AS) and Khidr(AS)
When Musa(AS) was asked-“Who’s the most knowledgeable of the people of earth?”” Musa(AS) said:Me…,but Allah revealed to him that there’s someone who Knows more than him.Musa(AS) traveled to the man and learnt how the Divine Wisdom can sometimes be hidden in matters which we perceive as bad.
MORAL: TRIAL OF KNOWLEDGE

4) Dhul-Qarnayn
Its a story of the great King that was given knowledge and power and was going around the world, helping people and spreading all that’s good.He was able to overcome the problem of Yajooj-Majooj and build a massive dam with the help of people whom he could not even understand.
