This is the image of a C-17 GLOBEMASTER III. I don't mean to offend
but what is it doing in ABUJA or is this a photo-shopped picture?

I took the screenshot. It's a video and from the video, I could hear them saying its for the United States embassy.

Check out dokulaja on instagram. You can check his stories for the video.

It appears DSS has taken over security of the National Assembly
Literally! Is there a thing police can do right in this country ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obTpD4Skj8M

When it comes to politics, the police have limited right to intervene but the federal power can make use of the dss the way she wants.

DO 128 should be retired or in storage now. Some DO 228 are operational. Nigeria should revamp all DO 228, the Germans might even do it for free

The NAF does that itself. Check the picture I posted, it was done by the NAF and a course mate whom I blurred his picture worked on it too as an intern student.

The Dornier 228; 5 in numbers.

Am not sure if all are air-worthy.

Did you include the recently transferred two 228?

Exactly the only thing that actually matters at the end of the day is results. The CH-5 is much more capable with a larger payload and longer endurance, probably carries more advanced and accurate missiles too.

The Chinese should donate some military hardwares to us too. I gave seen their goodwill to other countries but e never reach here.

it seems boko haram mobility isn't unhindered considering its use of technicals during the attack, especially in daylight

Bad Intel. I'm just surprised how these guys got into maiduguri with vehicles.

I normally would expect DIA assets to be scattered along the tri-border of Niger,Chad & Ngr
Furthermore,There are indications some pockets of areas within the AOR has terrorist presence/activity (the Army is just so stretched). But I tell you, this war won't be won until some/all those affected (especially the common man) contribute to the war effort

Not only about being over stretched. These guys are taking it in a gradual way.

Just look at this damn ISIS. It took the US less than two months to invade Iraq. Why not replicate these things in insurgency?

Concerning Nigeria, I have always said it until the military can make sure all liberated areas cannot be accessed by bokoharam then we're making huge success.

My opinion, all liberated areas should be handed over to the dss with military presence as protections too. The DSS and NPF team can now raid areas where suspected bokoharam elements maybe hiding. This should be done on a regular basis and then success will be achieved.

With this, bokoharam will be pushed back. Cutting off liberated areas from BHT territory means their fuel supply will be cut short, etc.

The strategy needs to be reviewed. I remember there was a time our troops came under regular ambush. This happened frequently then where military convoy was been ambushed regularly but the military seems to have changed strategy and also adapt to bokoharm ways.

The pictures where seeing are just screen grab. According to the twitter handle, it says BHT carting away on military equipments and dead soldiers littered the ground in the 7mins video.

Let's wait till the video hi made available.
I remember a report by a people travelling along the route that bokoharam terrorists are gathering. Intel is messed up etc If bokoharam can attack any town within Maiduguri even tho they were defeated. It shows these guys still got nerves.

We need to take the fight to them just like we took over baga. That is the best way to degrade these idiots.

No, these guys are Rangers from the army's 72 special forces brigade.

He's only posing with a Navy X-95. They provided normal security duties.

Navy SBS played the strategic role, Air Force QRF guarded our planes and helicopters, while regular infantry patrolled the streets.
The guys with the air assault team are also part of the army 72 special forces brigade?

Plus why are these guys not kitted like this in Nigeria?

NNSBS OR NAF QRF?

Note not all NAF personnel on Gambia soil where all SF.
There are other branch of the military present there .

Remember some of our military personnel where with shiny Ak's and some with Tavor X95 attached to secure some Gambia dignitaries.

I don't know if you see those pictures back then, those X95 where actually NAF QRF.

Are these guys in the same group?

The lady reporter was the source of Trump's mistake. She erroneously referred to Super Tucano as an helicopter. Trump instead of correcting her error went on to brag about their "world best helicopter".

Apart from this, I feel he will be willing to sell to us Americans made helicopters.

I don't see us procuring American multirole or attack aircrafts.

Imagine, only two? Have you stopped buying from US or is it because the Senate questioned the Treasury? Again, you bought it to combat evil yet you wana take it to Kaduna for induction & maybe after the killings might have wiped out Benue Residents, you will then fly them like a Projectile-Sport to Benue? Please, can someone tell these Nigerians that they reason counter-clockwise.
We procured 12. The total delivered now 4 with 8 more.

The A-29 super Tucano from USA is another deal entirely.
