People here don't know there's something called rules of engagement.

That was a rescue mission where the soldiers would definitely be at huge risk of being mobbed with the senator. Rules of engagement will likely permit them to shoot with discretion.

I'm not supporting the act but you need to know that this is Africa. Don't engage is confrontation with armed military men.

Have you been to these countries to ascertain if it's true or false?

What he stated is a fact. China produces automated machines for exports but make use of human workforce.

Those are countries with their citizens welfare at heart.

Not as if they can't use it (in certain sensitive and dangerous areas like hazardous chemicals they do) but they understand it will impoverished their citizens if utilized in areas humans can carryout.

I have been to severaL COMPANIES in china ranging from aviation, electronics tro consumer products manufacturing sector. They make use of robots. China has been growing in terms of robotics and AI.

Government having her people at heart doesn't mean the use of robotics should be stopped. There are 478 robots per 10,000 workers in South Korea, 315 in Japan, 292 in Germany, and 164 in the United States.

In China, I can confirm that companies do make use of robots in small task such as moving products around the company.

Rubbish........why should I pay a worker N40000 monthly when a robot can do that same job at N10000. It's either workers agree to do work at the same price of robots or they leave.

Those that are protesting, ask them, if they were owners of companies and had a choice between using robots at N50 per unit output and humans at N200 let unit output, which will they choose? The former of course. They will be talking as if they won't do same if they were in the company's position, Rubbish...
Buisness isn't to make profit alone but contribute to the host nation. If you can't create job then the government will be willing to frustrate you.

Are you also willing to pay huge tax for using robots when there are available man power?

countries with employment problems in the world are not using robots. If a country like China that manufactures robots is not using them, India is not using robots, even in our continent here, Ghana and Kenya are not using robots, why should Nigeria allow it then?”

This is a huge lie .

Why not transfer him to the Nigerian airforce medical team? They've got good medical facility to address such.

Speaking of their products its time for the NAF to bite the bullet and accept the reality. It seems, sad as it may be and to my surprise that for now the US is still playing along with Jean Fraude's Lake Chad oil basin grab agenda and will therefore frustrate Naij efforts to get Tucs. Go for the Mwari but ensure there are non US systems. As the first buyer you should be able to push for co production and/or licence building on favourable terms.

The Tucano deal has been finalized already.

Yes, we call it Excercise. Exercise python dance, crocodile smile etc lol.

They were deployed to maintain peace in a certain region. The military during the exercise raided the place and during an exchange of gunfire killed some of the criminals.

So, a repraisal attack was conducted in a close ambush on a military checkpoint in that area. Soldiers deployed to maintain peace came under ambush from members of the criminal group who disguised as normal civilians killing 11 of them.

What concessions did your government also grant them? Imports of cheaper state subsidised textiles that wipes the floor of your own local factories and whatnot, incredible access to your mineral resource, etc

Don't get me wrong, the Chinese are good to Africans but sometimes we allow them overdo and exploit the continent willy-nilly because we want short term bargains without thinking far ahead.
Nothing is fishy there. The Chinese have good business sense. If you're not satisfied with their conditions, then you don't have to take the loan.

You've said it, political will. This is what we lack. When the senators move around with convoy filled with police / military. Do they know there's also another security which is off the country's sovereignity.

The only guys that can encourage the politicians to release enough funds and probably increase budgets to procure such things in my own opinion still remains the intelligence agencies.

I’m scared that our military is really being distracted by this insurgency, at this point they probably don’t even focus on conventional threats anymore. Imagine we are at a point were we have to buy armored vehicles to protect air bases and not air defense equipment.

It's not distraction. The money no just dey. Air defence systems are really expensive. Even to buy MRAPS, it's not easy.

information is generally categorised under different levels

restricted
confidential
secret
top secret

Again some of them r generally further categorised under

Need to know basis
No Foreign dissemination
Restricted dissemination
Internal dissemination only

Again some of them r generally categorised under

Economic
Technical
Military
Foreign government information
Foreign relations
Intelligence
Organisational
Briefing and debriefing
Etc

Leakage from any of the above is detrimental to the economic , military , foreign relations etc of any organisation or country.

Even minute and seemingly non sensitive leakage will have major consequences.

One only needs a hint or the tip of the iceberg to build up a comprehensive case file relating to the matter under active espionage for use towards ones advantage and the victim countries/organisations disadvantage.

Eg. In a organisation under surveillance , members r discussing up coming meeting with the ambassador of a foreign country for economic related talks.
This small insignificant info gives the snooper additional time to mobilize resources to prepare for further action as per their needs to access additional info from the upcoming meeting as well as target the ambassador for additional information inorder to build up a comprehensive case file.

Another eg.
A snooper gets access to employees records at a organisation. This allows him to cart their financial and social vulnerabilities. Too much debt, offer the employee concerned bribes , weakness for ladies honeytrap him/her.

In today's age , most powerful weapon is - information

And information is never insignificant nor it is discarded becz there is always a time and place where it will give dividends.

Known.

AU denied, Beijing denied. Lemonade abi Kini oruko e quoted an anonymous source.
In as much as that source claimed the tapping was done in the described manner, it's highly ridiculous and if true, then they guys at AU are damn cluelessness to be called specialist.

Trust me, if I enter an hotel, I'll blind it out and start tracing for a hidden camera in my room. Ps: hotels for lodging during meetings alone grin

Observing a peak in data for years and you're never observed something to be fishy? Walls got bugged? Why not check the building as part of security measures before moving in?

Those methods seems too obvious.

In as much as both sides denied the report and lemonade or so can't give any evidence than a report from an anonymous source, then none is still believeable.
