To those who made the ultimate sacrifice, we thank you. Your sacrifice will not be in vain.

To the 22 Soldiers Killed; R.I.P & 75 Injured in Lake Chad region we wish you quick recovery.
How on earth did that happen? A mnjtf of such number should be formidable enough to scare BHT.

Rip to the soldiers killed.

Yes. I know JH 7 is heavier and more like a cheap Tornado IDS while JF 17 is like Grippen but are their no interchangeabilities in roles?
Still not in the same league with the gripen. The jh7 has a strike capability but won't perform up to these aircrafts as they're dedicated attack and multirole aircrafts.

The Jh7 will most likely be heavily armed as a bomber and will find it hard to make some moves during an encounter with aircrafts like jf17, gripen etc. The Chinese do escort the aircraft with the J11, J15 etc.

@Nemesis2uagain, is the JH 7 aircraft available for export customers and how does it compare with JF 17 Block II ?.

They are two different aircrafts in terms of role etc.

Really? You want to attack a base with just few numbers..... SF doesnt mean you are super man, countries with serious military, all have a dedicated air wing for this type of scenario, any other way......you are playing with fire, because alpha jet wont be able to do shit in such close proximity , and the mi35 has limited payload, trust me you dont want to go the way you suggested......your tactics cants work, will you jist stay in one place and engage them, you will have to deploy in different fronts , else they retreat to another direction

Limited payload? Mi35? You only require rockets and guns for such mission.

Arm the hind with 4 rocket PODs and guns. That's all.

A-jet has been used to conduct such operation by the NAF.

You will need to have proper helicopter aviation lift squadron and attached attack heliocpter squadron that can airlift 200 men in a go and effectively provide cover for the airlift copter and men while disembarking.......as little as this sounds.....nigerian military cant deploy this fast in 1 hour.
SF team do not need to be in a large number to conduct the operation successfully. The Super Puma, MI-17 and the helicopters transferred from the presidential air fleet can do the transport work.

Dropping the guys won't be an issue.

NIGERIAN AIR FORCE FIGHTER PLATFORMS NEUTRALIZE SCORES OF BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN YUWE

The Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, on 28 April 2018, neutralized scores of Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) at YUWE in Borno State through successful air strikes. The mission was conducted following intelligence report that BHTs fighters were hibernating in the settlement. Consequently, the ATF detailed Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet aircraft and one Mi-35 Helicopter gunship to conduct Air Interdiction on the BHT location in 2 waves. Overhead the location, the NAF fighter aircraft acquired and attacked the terrorists in the settlement with bombs, rockets and canons while a NAF Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) conducted Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) of the mission. The BDA revealed that at the end of the attack, some of the buildings in the location were successfully destroyed and engulfed in fire while the occupying terrorists were neutralized. Thereafter, some of the terrorists that survived were seen scampering for safety, with various degrees of wounds. The fighter aircraft then attacked the fleeing BHTs in subsequent waves of attack.

Nice video; I love the way the NAF his taking out BHT from the skies.... grin
I am impressed with the video. Why don't we bring in Special forces to clear such area? SF breach the area and then draw enemy fire. This time, Boko Haram will converge together to return fire. With eyes in the sky, the A-Jet can now come in while the MI-35 provide CAS.

My opinion tho as I feel having a special forces team on the ground will increase BHT casualty.

Not NAF, army.... apaz army aviation is now operational but I know How true accurate the news is
What helicopter do they operate? Like I have always mentioned, the military still doesn't have a good way of keeping bokoharam out of supposed cleared area.

Apart from declaring an area safe, DSS should also continue with intense HUMINT on maiduguri community to storm bokoharam possible hide outs while the military keep doing their thing. Attacking maiduguri will be a suicide mission as the military will respond with all available assets. The only problem is the place being residential.

That will depend on the fuel load of the UAV , the pusher propeller configuration will give the UAV a extra increase in loiter time ie endurance over a same UAV with same fuel load and same engine but in a tractor configuration.

This is a very generalized explanation.

I'm always impressed with how much you know on some things.
If I may ask, Whats your educational qualification? Aerospace engineering?

New J-15s are still not shown with heavy loads, few years ago a news agency alleged to Jiang Zemin faction reported that J-15 can barely reach 200 kms if it takes off with full load.

Without sabotaging the project, Chinkistaan continued it and here we are giving thumbs down to Naval LCA.

Huh !

200km. That sounds not possible even on paper. China Pakistan joint development on a flanker series? shocked

From the NAF SPOKESPERSON:
The NAF will be getting ( CONFIRMED) the MI 35 from Russia
and some others ( UNCONFIRMED) the name of the HELICOPTER
I do not want to pour cold water on your source.
The NAF currently operates the following
Bell Helicopters
Augusta Westland
The HC Eurocopter EC145
Alpha Jet
Of these only the Augusta operates in the same family as the Apache
I t is unlikely, please do not be offended by my POV
The NAF IMHO will be acquiring the MI-35, and probably one of these
The EC145 or the Augusta because these are Frames the NAF and their technicians are familiar with.

I understand your point. It's however not about maintenance facility. If we procure Apaches, the French or Italians will never sell you parts for it once you're under American sanctions.

Just look at the Tucano deal. The American stopped the sales to Nigeria by Brazil due to the American components In it.

Yes bro, even some NAF guys still believe we might still go for Apache helicopter. Seems there is huge difference BTW the mi-35 and Apache helicopter.
Apache is definitely in the league of MI-28 and KA-52. The MI35M is an advance MI-24. Just like there is a difference between the F-18, F-15 and F/A-18, same to the MI-35, MI-28, and KA-52. Avionics, sensors, capabilities, and performances differ.

It will be of our best interest to go for the MI-28 except you want to pay dearly with the American embargo.

The mistake is from the Senator. In the report he read on the floor of the House, he did mention "Techno Helicopters".

Actually the error comes from the vanguardngr. He was referring to the Tucano deal.

Ah, I for fear. The senator probably Google searched Tucano and noticed it has propeller hence why he called it helicopter. Lol
