Probably the cost maintenance is high; I wouldn't be surprised if it's been transfered to the NAF.

They dare not try that. NAF can never maintain such high tech aircraft. I guess it's on a maintenance routine.

What happened to the Nigerian presidential jet 001? All of the president's movement for about 2-3 months now has been on the smaller aircrafts.

His visit to the United Kingdom is also with another aircraft in the presidential air fleet and not the 737.

Another funny thing it later came out that the north Koreans who were thought to have been double crossed actually double crossed the Pak...... they left out the guidance systems from the Missiles and the blueprints, later during Kargil war when Musharraf asked about the operational preparedness of the Missiles , the commanding officer replied that the missiles don't have any guidance system. This incident was mentioned by the general in his book.

Another interesting fact our [/b]assets noted Pak... personnels in Pyongyang prior and during the 4th north Korean nuclear test.

Yeah they r detachable

Looks like painting

U guys need to eat lots of carrots grin grin grin

Henry240 especially grin

Anyways there r strips covering the strain gauges so it gives the look of "paintings"

And did I read correctly u don't fancy Chinese lipsrsealed grin
U definitely need lots of carrots tongue grin

LOL. I did not look too close at the picture as I was in class so I actually took it as a paint stuff. Something similar can be found on B737 and some other airliner hence why I mistook it as a scab (excrescence drag).

Structural Test I know are often done on ground etc. Why is the Tejas flying with the strain gauge when the tests could have been performed on ground?

Chinese oh, I tend to have some issues with a teacher in term of academic setup and I have decided to put it out on all female chinese. They seem to be out of this world in terms of reasoning. I find it cool discussing with the males. Ladies and ego!

Give me ur father's no and I am gonna tell him how his son wasted time gawking at the pretty Chinese female lecturers grin

Strain gauges sir wink

Ur UAV gonna need them during static (wind tunnel models too) and in-flight testing, if Ur determined to go all out for measuring the various forces loads at play for bend testing peak strain testing, structural fatigue testing and various load factors testing etc.

Any high performance and highly tested airframe will need it , no excuses for it. I suggest the same for u inorder to avoid tearing Ur hairs off Ur head later on. grin

Anyways guess what madrassa educated fools across the border had to say about it - it is paint peeling off grin grin grin

By the way I too would have gawked at the pretty Chinese female lecturers grin grin grin

Aren't strain gauges detachable? Those look like paintings on the aircraft grin

Actually, it's not my area of specialization tho' Chinese grin I don't fancy them cheesy. Yes, the UAV is going to need that obviously.

We've worked with it here at school but it's mostly done by those guys in the electronic department.

Plus that thing up there looks like painting angry

@tdayof try this Ur a aeronautical engineer.

Not sure, what I know about is excrescence drag. Has to do about aerodynamic/ fuel.

Bro you too look at the picture you posted... See the Police men bending to one side. That clearly depicts how heavy their rifle is... All thanks to their 3 or more cramped together mags.

From this picture where the men couldn't even stand straight cos of their heavy rifle... I am 100% certain they gonna dump the rifle should they be in need of a "tactical withdrawal" through their legs. cheesy

Consequently, the bad boys will now have not just another rifle but also extra mags.

He's running, that's why. If that thing ain't heavy for me, then I see no reason why a man who's been carrying this everyday should find it heavy.

You can see over 10 officers running with their riffle in a very fit manner.

They have absolutely zero issues with the weight.

"A little more weight"... And thats why our men throw away their rifle in a case where they gotta run from danger with their two legs. grin grin

Or in a fire fight, if my comrade run outa ammo how do I quickly throw him some if my mags are taped together undecided
It is a personal thing. It doesn't add much weight too.

My question is where is F(SARS)?
What's there duty?
Are they not suppose to spring in action within the period of operations?
This our country and propaganda!

Reinforcement was sent from Ilorin to Offa. Reinforcement from MOPOL, CTU, SARS and anti kidnapping. To gather a tactical team in Nigeria, you'll need a minimum of 5-10 minutes for them to roll out of the state police headquarters.

Distance from Ilorin to Offa should also be considered .

The main problem here is why does Offa lack a formidable tactical team around? Plus, does this mean the Nigerian police lack patrol teams in a town like Offa? shocked

The country's security situation needs to be readdressed. I see ACP Kyari team arresting these guys soon.

Excellent news for the French shipyard Ocea, who has once again won a great competition for export. The Vendée manufacturer has indeed, according to our information, been awarded the winner of the international call for tenders launched by Nigeria for a hydrographic building. In the final, Ocea was apparently opposed to an Indian yard.

The company, based in Les Sables d'Olonne, won with a proven solution, based on the OSV 190 design, already built at two

You got this through NESL?

Similar robbery incidence happened while i was serving in Ikirun, Osun state

It was God that saved us that day because it was on a friday and them just pay alawee so corp member dey plenty for bank ATM.

As God will have it, I didn't branch the bank that day but the sound of gunshot I was hearing at the family house was heavier than Ikeja bomb blast. They were just shooting sporadically nd killed lots of innocent people
The robbers were more than 20 and between the ages of 20-34.

As if that was not enough another robbery took place that same evening. undecided

Up till date, some bank did not return to Ikirun
The robbers ended up regretting this then. A police armored personnel carrier vehicle came in immediately they left the bank. Remember those guys first disabled a police vehicle stationed near the bank and reinforcement was called in.

The issue with armed robbery in Nigeria is lack of fast response from the police.

Just imagine $1b that should be use for development will now be used for buying military equipment. Southern politicians are just so stupid.

Useless country.
Just as education and infrastructure is important, that is how defence is also important. I bet you, let us be as developed as America and Cameroon or Chad decide to bomb your infrastructures from over 100KM?

It’s like their entire military is brand new, how high are their maintenance standards.

Did you see our troops deployment to Gambia? Shiny kits and even weapons.

Those things are no problem for us too. During parades etc, most of the participating hardwares undergo painting and others here.

I love the growing Senegal. Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and Ivory Coast operating 4th generation aircrafts and sophisticated military hardware will make ecowas a very strong bloc.
