Now looking at it logically, pls how does one fracture their own bones, chest etc and still have enough power to strangle themselves, just curious

dalu:
No it's not a well known fact.. Hestia worked with me for years.. She came in in a pool of blood with a nylon bag over her head face smashed in chest and arms fractured.. Husband told us she had a history of depression and suicidal attempts and that her family know this.. For now we are working with that.. The family may or may not confirm this.. She's had a full body scan post mortem and is in the morgue.. Please don't speculate and cause unnecessary pain to her 2 kids

That's the point we need even development... as long as pple don't go back and develop their states and all the pressure is on lagos, Nigeria will not develop.. pls go back to ur state.. even the so called developed countries have ways of keeping their population in check.. so once again pls go back to ur state, I am on my great grandfather's land... and I am developing it as much as I can... Can u say the same for urself... You love lagos but not as much as the indigenes, who have ancestral ties....go back to where u av ancestral ties and develop it..

lookandlaff:
what does it matter what state I am from? Is that the issue? next thing you will talk about religion and party affiliation and the issue gets lost.

The only place i've ever lived in Nigeria is lagos and it is an eyesore. This is where I live and have lived all my life!!! Lagos is a slum, we are too content with mediocrity, infact we exalt mediocrity Lagos can do much better than it does with the resources at it's disposal but it doesn't because people are satisfied with mediocrity. We live in a global world, we are competing with other cities around the world, is this what we have to offer? Travel around the world and you will cry because when you see the infrastructure of some of the cities around the world which we sometimes look down on, I am not even talking about the usual suspects like London, Dubai, etc, and you will realize we haven't started.

Dont fool yourself, I love Lagos (less now than I did when I was younger) but there is no excellence in Lagos just as there is nothing giant about Nigeria. The population we rave so much about are a poor quality labour force and so long as people continue to be satisfied with and defend low standards, we will never get anywhere. Is Lagos better than it was in 1999, yes but there is no excellence about it, even the high brow areas are just slums with expensive properties in them..

anyone who thinks Lagos is a centre of excellence needs to expand his horizons beyond London, New York, Dubai, etc maybe because we see those cities as developed we feel it's ok to be the way we are after all we aren't an advanced country abi? You have google earth, google some less known and less wealthy cities especially debt ridden latin american countries, look for countries with GDPs less than Nigeria and see their infrastucture, see pictures of what they did with their debt. When I go to most countries in south America a lot of whom are struggling with debt, I look at their infrastructure and i say at least I can see where the money went. Se we like to boast that Lagos has a GDP bigger than Ghana abi?, even Ghana look at them and cpme back and tell me again about the excellence in Lagos. As far as I am concerned it should be called the centre of mediocrity!

Centre of excellence, Giant of Africa......all empty boasts and noise not matched by reality!!!!

Pls where are u from? Obviously not a lagosian....Mr Centre of excellence my ass, I am interested in what state u are from??

lookandlaff:
Absolute nonsense! is it not in this same Lagos that Julius Berger build roads, do you see pot holes on JB toads after it rains? The problem is they award contacts to imcompetent cronies who don't have the competence to handle such roads at the same cost as a company like JB would handle the road.

Secondly you build (or rather expand) an existing lekki express way, knowing full well that there is going to be heavy usage on the road in years to come, free trade zone, dangote refinery, port airport etc and you don't have the long term vision to build flyovers? See the traffic bottle necks every day at the round abouts and yet you approve the construction of a shopping mall at the busioest of all the roundabouts? centre of excellence my ass!
PoliticsRe: Who Was Your Best Ministerial Nominee For Today? by teamchocolate: 7:28pm On Oct 14, 2015
You obviously didn't listen to star boy well.. Lagos is special, I know cuz I av worked with the state govt before.....
Lagos infrastructure and resources are over-burdened more than any other state in the country, pple arrive into Lagos by busloads and even by plane and by sea, every day...
Secondly geographically, Lagos is quite different from other states. The amount u will use to build roads in ibadan will be entirely different from how much u will use in Lagos simply cuz of the terrain.. I know this cuz these 3 states are states I av worked in...

lookandlaff:
I'm amazed at those who can't see through fashola. His eloquence seems to dazzle some people. He is a lawyer and as a good lawyer, obviously his SAN wasn't bought. He dazzled and skillfully evaded the question put before him. What kind of excuse is I don't sign cheques? Do you have to sign cheques to embezzle money? Did GEJ sign Cheques? Did Abacha sign cheques? Did Diazani sign cheques? The question was is it true you spent amounts in excess of the going rate for Websites and boreholes? As the smart lawyer that he is, he evaded the question and bamboozled most of you. if under your watch as a chief executive inflated amounts are spent on procuring items you are either culpable or incompetent. The importance of the question put before him is if under your watch N70m was spent on a website, how do we know you will get value for us as a minister and not approve inflated contracts but sadly we missed an opportunity.

Please dont be dazzled, lagos has money to spend more than any other state but in many areas considering value for money, lagos actually does qquite badly, the quality of roads they build for instance. I was in Ibadan and I was amazed at the quality of the roads built by Ajimobi, same in Abeokuta. If I were a senator I would have asked of fashola; if you are made minister for works can we expect that you will build better roads than the lekki express way which has no foresight by not having flyovers and is already riddled with potholes and all the other roads that keep failing? Secondly considering the hapharzaed nature of development/ lack of town planning, indiscriminate licensing of business premises with total disregard to impact on traffic/town planning in lagos, what makes you the right person for that ministry?

For me Kemi adeosun and Kachikwu were the stars!

You don't hear Muhammadu buhari cuz u need hearing aids and an ear surgery....

Acidosis:
You need to attend more seminars, listen to more public speakers and stop these 'hypes.'

How can a man of 52 years find it difficult to answer simple questions pertaining to his area of specialization, his state & experience? What baffles me is some of you attended universities where some 30-something year old Lecturers tutor you all on difficult subjects.

Please remind me again, what has Fashola said that Senator Ben Bruce can't discuss even better? What has Madam Aminat said that Senator Stella Oduah won't discuss even better? Have your nominees said anything Maupe Ogun of Channels TV won't discuss even better? Who among them can transform this nation better than "Sam Adeyemi", a public speaker if the criteria were to be comportment, statistical and business intelligence?

If you must school anyone, beg your nominees to tutor your PRESIDENT who's apparently clueless of certain and key sectors of the Nigerian business.

I also saw some hypocrites insulting the Northern senator who couldn't speak well in the senate, meanwhile these same set of people were among those who installed Muhammadu Buhari, same man we barely hear whenever he talks.

My sister started having nightmares and she also started eating in her sleep, years later my parents figured that it was a spiritual ish and we took her to Mountain of fire for deliverance, everything stopped afterwards

Barcholder:
Nigeria's power problem is going to be solved in exactly the same way that the telecommunications problem was solved. Distributed power solutions, primarily in the form of Solar Energy. Think, mobile telephones versus landline telephones.

Indeed, this trend has already started, and I can tell you that my company has done over 100 Off-grid Solar Power installations for customers in the last year alone. People are now sourcing their power directly from Solar and cutting off NEPA completely. I expect this trend to rapidly increase over the next 2 years, as the new NEPA tariffs kick in, and Nigerians begin to see just how expensive power really is. I simply cannot see the average middle class family being willing to pay N50,000 per month to NEPA for just 6-8 hours power per day.

No, instead, they will turn to Solar power providers who can guarantee them 24 hours power for less money that they will be paying to NEPA. I can also tell you with absolute authority that before the end of 2016, you are going to see a major advertising blitz hitting Nigerians, offering a Pay as You Go Solar Solution for every home. Nigerians will be able to get immediate guaranteed 24 hours power by just paying an upfront fee of N100,000, and then paying a fixed monthly fee of between 12 - 48K on average.

In exactly the same way the NITEL died, I fully expect to see the death of NEPA, as every Nigerian opts for a distributed power solution for their homes. Generation, Transmission and Distribution all at the point of use. No interface with a decrepid grid system that's beyond repair.

And the best part of all, this power revolution has already started, you just haven't noticed it yet. It will become very apparent to even the average person within 18 months. I can tell you that right now, Estate Developers are not connecting NEPA lines to their estates, but instead, are installing Solar Panels on each home, as it makes each unit far more attractive to the buyers, being that it comes with 24 hours power.

How do I know all this? Because, I'm the Founder and CEO of Nigeria's largest Solar Power Company, having launched it just 2 and a half years ago. The change people seek is already here, they just don't know it yet.

The entire power privatization is going to end up as a disaster, because demand for NEPA, at least from a residential and SME basis, is going collapse, as is the demand for generators.

Quote me on this in 5 years time.

Regards

Children of hate from the land of the falling sun won't like this o...
grin grin

robosky02:
President of Nigeria National League (NNL) team, Remo Stars Football Club, Kunle Soname, at the weekend became the first Nigerian to own a top European football club by buying Portuguese second division side, Clube Desportivo Feirense.

Soname secured 70 percent of the club, which last played in the Portuguese top-flight division in 2011.

According to a statement on the club’s website, “Last Friday we effected a transformation of our club through the sale of part of the capital to our new partners, Tavisstock Global Resource Ltd, led by Mr. Kunle Soname.

“We wish all the stakeholders the best and believe it will be a lasting partnership that would bring great sporting success to Clube Desportivo Feirense.”

Speaking on the take over, Soname said the takeover would impact positively on both his two clubs and Nigerian Football, adding, “It is a great thing to have achieved this. My sincere gratitude to God and everyone involved in the take over process.

“Securing Clube Desportivo Feirense was the next step in the right direction for me. I love everything about the club: the organisation, the philosophy and the fans I have no intention of changing anything in the club because I am satisfied with their operations.

“Rather, I want to ensure the progress of the club through promotion to the Portuguese Primera division.

“Having been involved in Nigerian football over the years by running Remo Stars Football club, I felt it was time to further develop the team. It would also bring benefits for Nigerian football through players transfer, training for officials and administrators, who have proven they have what it takes to succeed in Europe.

“I still have my commitment to Remo Stars FC; it is the beginning of all I have achieved in football and I will keep improving the team to get it to the greatest heights.
